Word Art Wednesday Challenge #197

I love WAW, but admit I have been slack these past few weeks.
Karen has had to put up with me being late for a while now.
I feel terrible about that... I even had it all prepared EARLY yesterday, but
forgot to send her the card after I left for dance and came home to make
dinner and all of the cakes and goodies for my son's birthday (that's today!)
I truly do not like being late and I ask Karen and the WAW Team to please forgive me.

I can not believe my little man is 11 years old today.
He is such a sweetheart and I love him to pieces.
He loves MINECRAFT, so I made him a creeper cake for here and creeper
cupcakes for his friends at dance. He has hip hop tonight, and they are sure
to leave out of there hungry! :)

I am pretty good at decorating cakes and cupcakes.
BUT
EVERY
TIME
I mane the kids a birthday cake something goes terribly wrong!!!
My poor son's creeper cake is just so ugly!LOL!!!
He said he doesn't care and that he loves it... (yes, he saw it)
but I know the real deal. Sigh.
I won't show you the cake... but here are the sad, sad cupcakes.

(see, I told ya! lol!!!)

Now on to my card for this week.
This scripture is so beautiful! I love how encouraging and
uplifting this verse is. A reminder that God will never leave us,
even when we don't understand our circumstances, He is there.
He sent His Holy Spirit to give us comfort and hope and peace

This word are is FREE for you to save and use on your creations.
Just hop over to the WAW Challenge blog to add it to your collection.
Remember, our challenges are FAMILY FRIENDLY - ANYTHING GOES!

Hope to see you play along!

For those of you following me and know about everything going on with my mom,
I wanted to give you a quick update. God has been so good. He is guiding the doctors,
finances, treatments, and has His hand upon her. He has proven it time and time again!
She is still in pain and doesn't feel well. It's starting to get to her a little bit.
She isn't one to sit down all the time.
I want to ask you to please continue to pray for her. She starts chemo tomorrow.
She will have two different drugs and will be receiving them through an IV for 5 hours.
That's a long time!!! :/
She also has to have bloodwork and see the doctors before she goes in. This leaves her
with a 12+ hour day (driving time included) Just pray that the medications aren't harmful to her
body, she tolerates them well, they have safe travels, and that the day goes by quickly.

Thank you all!
Lots of love - God bless!

Coffee + Cupcakes = SOMETHING WONDERFUL!

Good morning!
I have some SUPER FUN NEWS for you!
I have been so excited and on the edge of my seat waiting
to share this news and these new images with you.
and I have been chatting and came together and decided to create some images that were a collaboration  of both the Fresh Brewed Shop and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Bllog.
We are so happy to have come together and create these SPECIAL  CIC DIGIS just for you!
They are a perfect mix of both Fresh Brewed and Cupcake Inspirations!
Just wait and see!

Welcome to the FBD Shop:

and

I created using the CIC Cupcake Sweetie image:

I used the super complicated (for me) and fun sketch over at SPLITCOAST STAMPERS
for this project. I used a MME 12x12 stack called GARDEN VIGNETTES.
I have had this stack FOREVER! The mustard yellow is by American Craft
and the pretty glittery pink is from my stash (was a RAK from a LONG time ago)

I also used the CUPCAKE INSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE 319
Don't you LOVE these colors?!? Swoon!
(I totally want to eat that cupcake RIGHT NOW!)

Thank you for stopping by!

Please stop by and check out my FUNDRAISER BLOG HOP POST as well.

Thank you all for the prayers being sent up for my mom and all the love,
kindness, and support you have all shared. We are so blessed and so thankful for

Digis For Debbie Fundraiser Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Blog Hop. I recently found out that my mom was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer. It was a total shock to all of us. I can't lie and say I didn't lose it. I sat in the floor and cried and prayed and cried more. My mom is my VERY BEST FRIEND. She is the definition of a mom. She sacrifices everything she has for us. Is patient. Loving. Kind. She had us at church every time the door was open. She is always there for us.  She had our back . And still does. You didn't mess with her kids, lol! I have had many different emotions running through me during these past few weeks and have seen many emotions in my moms face. Notice I said seen, she is good at hiding that sort of thing from us trying to protect us. She is strong. I do want you all to know first and foremost that we KNOW that GOD IS IN CONTROL! He is going to take care of her and bring her through this. I will praise Him and glorify Him through it all.

This fundraiser was something that came to mind when I was desperately thinking and praying for a way to help my parents. A few friends of mine suggested that we host a blog hop to help with all related medical costs. We have decided to help raise enough money to cover these medical expenses, as well as aftercare expenses, by creating a digi shop.  All the proceeds of the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop and the Fresh Brewed Designs Store will go directly to Mrs. Debbie to fund her lifesaving surgery and the aftercare necessary to bring her back to wellness.  I also created a Give Forward account to assist my mom.  If you would like to help, please stop by the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop, the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and/or the Give Forward Account.  For those of you who are not able to contribute monetarily, I  would love for you to add my mom, Mrs. Debbie, to your prayer list.  If there is one thing we know, prayers can work miracles that money cannot and healing and wellness is what we are praying to receive.

Image used is from the FBD Fundraiser Digi Set (14 images)
that can be purchased at the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop

Yarnaholic

I am not actually a yarnaholic...
coffee... glitter.... glue... paper... those things would be more likely.
My mom and sister however are TOTAL YARNAHOLICS!
My mom crochets and my sister knits. I never got into that form of
creating / crafting. I didn't have the patience ;-)

I created this card for the NEW FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE

I used the FBD Digital Stamp: Triple Scoop
and the sentiment is from the
Rubber Stamp Set: She Loves Yarn

I used the Splitcoaststampers sketch # 548 as my inspiration.
This image was in my stash, already colored, so I am unsure
which markers I used. I am pretty sure that I used skin copics, prismacolor markers,
and a teal sharpie.

The dp are from my stash. The kraft and white cardstock are from Papertrey Inc.

Freshly Brewed Challenge - TO THE MOVIES

Good Morning.
Our new Freshly Brewed Challenge is a MOVIE THEME this week.
I tried to think of one of my favorite movies to theme my card after...
so many came to mind... but they were all based on deep, long lasting friendships.
I decided to go with one of my all time favorites: BEACHES

This image is very special to me.
This image is from a set of digis I created as a fundraiser for my mom.
She found out approx. two weeks ago that she has a rare form of uterine cancer.
We, along with many of you,  have been trusting God and praying
and he IS working! She had a CT scan last week that showed the cancer to be
contained in her uterus. Praise God!!! Now we are leaving tomorrow to meet with her
doctor and schedule her surgery.

This image is part of a set of images that is for sale for $3 in the Fresh Brewed Designs Shop.

She doesn't know I am doing this, but I was feeling helpless and wanted to do something.
I am hoping to help relieve some of the stress of the medical expenses she will have and allow
her to focus on getting better. I have set up a GIVEFORWARD fundraiser >>HERE<<
All funds from the sale will be given to my mom to help pay for anything she needs
during this time. I know that many of us do not have money to give. Believe me. I understand.
But if you believe in the healing power of prayer, then please pray.
God is in control. He is working and he does hear our prayers!
