hehehe!!! thought this was all fitting with the storm today. We had a little bit of a lot of rain, lol:) A little, but a lot, but a little compared to what we will have. Make since?? They are saying that Hanna may be a hurricane when it hits, but is so far just a tropical storm. I am worried about Ike though. It is already a category 4? Sheesh!!! That one scares me! This is for you Janine:) When she first developed we told Hannah about it. She was in a mood that day and I told her after that fit she threw they decided to name a hurricane after her:). she rolled her eyes and said "Yea Right!" We showed her on the weather channel. She laughed, rolled her eyes and covered her face with her hands. It was cute. i have been getting pics of her pointing at the TV the closer she gets. ((there is a pic a few posts down:)))All in all I think she thinks it is pretty cool:).
In celebration of our Hurricane party (lol .. so we are telling the kids to keep them from being scared).. i made a Hanna card:)!!! I love this image and the way she turned out. It didn't really register that it was a Hanna stamp until I started writing this post .. lol!!! How funny! So, this is my update. Thanks for the safety wishes and comments. Keep praying Ike away!!! Thanks so much!! I love ya'll!!
UPDATE ON HANNAHS ECZEMA: Please keep praying. . and a big thank you to those of you who are. She has had a bad day today. It itched and she twisted it and made it inflamed during school today. She has been keeping it under cold packs and keeping busy crafting. As you can see, she is still smiling. My beautiful Hannah.
Adela suggested in the comments section that I use Crisco. For other suffering .. it does help! I Do use that on her face. It seems to make her body worse? I am looking into the solid shortening form of coconut oil as my next purchase. I bought alcahol free witch hazel, am changing foods like crazy. Night shade plants are supposedly bad and I did not know that until now. Potatoes, tomatoes, okra, watermellon. Also eggs, milk, wheat and red meat are all out. So I need advice on what to feed my child! I think after we get her diet on track it should help some. I am struggling on what to feed her. Thanks for the advice! Keep it coming!!!
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

Beautiful job on the card. Glad to hear you guys are ok over there. We get the earthquakes (HATE it) and you get the storms! I have a suggestion about Hannah's condition and it wouldn't hurt to try it: get some Crisco shortening and rub it over the affected area. I've heard it works wonders on the itch and the condition.

ReplyDeleteI know you probably don't want me to say this but your blog title is so apt, I tells ya! Great Hanna card (esp. with Hanna bringing much rain)! For Hannah (the last of the triumvirate), we have a diaper cream in Canada which is actually recommended for eczema (esp. here in Calgary where we have the highest rates per capita). It is called Penanten and, since everyone is this house suffers from it to various degrees, I have done a little research on it (http://www0.epinions.com/well-Personal/xDN_~skin_care-penaten). (It actually is one of those things that cross-border shoppers stock up on.) If you want to try it, give me a shout. They have all types of sizes and applications so I am sure I could find one that will "do ya"! Good luck to little Hannah...it looks so painful!
ReplyDeleteI love the Hanna card! I think they should name one after me. After all, I try to behave and I could be furious through the storm. ;)
ReplyDeleteI will keep praying for Hannah. She must be so brave to be enduring this eczema.
