Hey everyone! i hope you are all having a beautiful week. My mom came over and saved my garden today. I am going to start a journal and do my best to take better care of it! She is amazing, my mom. She knows EVERYTHING ... I cant imagine being able to know as much as she does. My brain cannot process it all ... it just turns to mush! I will start reading, journaling and paying better attention though. I cant wait to have fresh veggies in my backyard!
The kids made bug playgrounds today. They used construction paper and made all kinds of shapes, slides, huts.. then we taped them down, poured sugar on one and honey on the other (well, they all ended up with honey .. they liked pouring it too much :) AND MY SON ENJOYED EATING THE SUGAR TOO MUCH .. lol! So far it has attracted a few ants and was blown across the road .. :) We will see how long they last.
This card was made for the Caardvarks tree challenge as well as the pink elephant recycle challenge. (I plan to make one for the Mothers day part of the challenge too). I had gotten a stamp in the mail sometime early February. It was red rubber and had a LOT of excess rubber on it. As I trimmed it I noticed part of it looked like a tree. Well, i kept cutting shapes and making it for a tree stamp. I have not tried it yet .. so this was the perfect opportunity! I do like the way it turned out. i hope you do as well. I found the sentiment on the Internet on a quote site. I tried to print it but the kids tried to print earlier yesterday despite my telling them no, and the printer is now hung up :(. I will have to wait for hubby to fix it since nothing i tried has worked. Oh well. I tried to do the best I could. I am off to get the kids ready for bed and ready for our school day tomorrow. Have a great night!
Love how you used that leftover rubber to make a fabulous tree.

Amazing - your card with the waste rubber is just wow. I love it so much - it has a mixture of the simpliciy of a child's work and yet the sophistication of a true artist. It's just wow.
ReplyDeleteLoved reading about your kids insect playgrounds too - what a fun thing to do.
