When I started this card it was for my ICSDT sketch this week. I could not get the feel for it for some reason and set it aside. I had the 'box' complete.. no frame or anything and honestly it looked pretty ugly! I was unmotivated and just not feeling it so I moved on. I thought this would end up in the trash or never used, but I had worked so hard on the images and the shaker box (my very first!!!) that I did not take that step just yet. I was visiting Adela's blog and saw that the Caardvarks challenge was to create a Christmas themed card. So happy was I to give it another go. ((Adela, I promise I am not stalking you ... although it would seem that way ;) lol!)) I cut the scallop border and frame with my cricut and layered it all together. I added the ribbon and voila, a not so bad Christmas card. I think it turned out alot better than I was hoping for it to. It is a pretty simple layout, but the image is so busy I did not want to make it too crowded. The images gave me a fit :). I found these free digis a long while back and had honestly forgotten I had them. I copied them to word, stretched and printed them. Well, they came out looking grey and dull. I sat up and traced them all one night and colored them in the next. Ok, that is it for me. Have a wonderfully blessed day :)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV
