OK, so without further ado, here she is.... soon to be released.... Bubblebath Sophie! Isn't she just the sweetest! I waited and waited for her to arrive in my mailbox. I was a lot excited and a lot anxious and a lot nervous all in one. When I got her in my hands and was able to work with her I fell in love. I do have a confession .. i LOVE the tissue paper that Hanna stamps sends in her packaging! I have held on to every piece. :) I chose to finally make use of it for this challenge.
For the background paper, I sponged glue onto my GP cardstock, laid the tissue paper over the glue, sponged more glue over the top sprinkling Martha Stewart extra fine glitter over the entire page while still wet. After it was dry I cut it out and ran it through my cuttlebug. I colored her several ways until I decided on the way I liked her the best. For this particular card I used my prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and paper blender pencils. Sophie's tub and hat are paper pieced with the tissue as well. Instead of gluing over the top and adding glitter I chose to cover the stamped image with packaging tape. I then cut it out and glued it down. It looks glossy and is really pretty in real life. I added stickles to her glass as well as to her bath bubbles. I think that sums it up.
Be sure to check out the Hanna forum on SCS to see what the other fantastic ladies are creating. Their cards will also be an album titled HSGDC1. I have had the most fun over there sharing and learning from everyone. They are all just the sweetest people you could ever meet! AND be sure to check back in next Saturday for my 2nd card. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
