You will most often find me wearing Jeans. If i am not at church or have on my PJs I am wearing jeans :). I have had these pockets for MONTHS now. My husbands jeans got ripped, BAD.. I cant remember how or why ... but he saved me the pockets, lol. I held on to them thinking I would one day use them for something, they were shoved somewhere and forgotten until I found them this past week. I decided to make something with them today for the kiddies. I had a lot of fun making these projects but most of all seeing the kids smile when I gave them their little prize. I know they are cheesy but I made them with love and that is all that counts ;). TRs was hard. I wanted to make him something but everything looked girly. I folded the pocket in half and it reminded me of his pretend cowboy gun holster. SO I thought it would make a great pencil older for his binder. He and his sister are always fighting over pens and this way he can keep up with his own :) Also I caught a pic of Hannah drawing this evening. She is ALWAYS drawing and ALWAYS amazes me. I thought I would give you a glimpse of her talent and favorite pastime. Have a blessed night.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV
You are so, so creative my friend! What fun little pockets for your kids!! Please tell Hannah that I think her work is simply amazing!!!!

Great project, Heather! When I was a teen, I made a purse out of the front of my jeans. I folded where the zipper was and sewed the sides and bottom together. The front pocket of the jeans worked great as a purse pocket.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing pics of your babies. Thanks for sharing!
