Psalm 139
14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right wellWhen I try to think of a scripture for my cards (especially for young girls) I think of this one. I go through so many and always just go back to this. This card in particular is one I made for a little girl (well, she is a young lady) at Han's new dance school. I have not 'met' her yet, but have seen her dance. (she is very talented). I HAVE had the pleasure of meeting her wonderful mom who has helped me get going on my next homeschool year (YAY) and her name is Heather, gotta love that! :D Anyway, earlier this week her grandmother asked me to create a birthday card for this little lady, and I was happy to do that for her. Now, the only problem I had... I am not good with teen stuff! AHH!!! So, I am good with up to 6 and 25+... that is about it! HA~
I knew this little Greeting Farm Cake image would be fun. Purple is my favorite color, so it was fun to work with and I really like the butterflies castcading behind her. (this is me convincing myself it is ok and she will like it!) I keep going back to the same scripture and thinking of how wonderful God is. When he loves in your heart, it is like this joy is bubbling up out of you, his beauty shines forth and you can just SEE him that persons eyes.
I created this card using the Eat Sleep Stamp sketch .. I kindof went off a little though :/. I hope that is ok.
Sorry this post is jumbled. I am at dance with the kids.. Han is in lyrical and TR is sitting here playing his new DSi he got for being so good while he waited for Han to get out of dance (the kid has sat her without many complaints for a total of 13 hours a week the past 2 weeks ... ) And you know that my heart broke to tell Han she did not get one... so she has one too. They KNOW this is their Christmas gift though .. so it is ok.
Ok, I am really going now :)
Have a beautiful and blessed day!
Hi Heather...busy little bee...LOL! Isn't having a challenge blog and selling digi's plus being a mom and all the other things in your life make you need more hours in the day? LOL! I miss your comments and at first thought I must have offended you or something (just me feeling a little down these days). Menopause is a creepy little bugger - when you think you have it licked - it kicks your butt! I'm encouraged by your card and that beautiful scripture! Thanks for the uplift - it was things like that which made me want to follow your blog. God bless! :)
ReplyDeleteGoing off is always okay!! =) It's all up to the artist. Love your card my friend. These Greeting Farm images are super adorable. As always I love your coloring and fab details. This is a great card!!!
