The greatest gift I ever had
Came from God; I call him Dad!

Dad, you're someone to look up to no matter how tall I've grown. ~Author Unknown
There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself.

I am back again today to share a few Father's Day themed cards with you. First off I am sharing one I made for my Daddy. If anyone knows me at all, you will know that (aside from my kids and husband) my mom and dad are the most important people in the world to me. I love them so much!!! After my daughter was born I took her to the Picture People to have her pictures taken and found that they also made ties! Perfect for my daddy! So it has been something we have tried to do ever since. He has one with my daughter, one with her and my son and one of my kids and my nephew. It has been a few years since we have had one made, I really wanted to make one this year, but time escaped me. When I saw all of the cards floating around with suit and tie templates this idea popped into my head! I will make my own on a card!!! Brilliant no? :) I thought so ;)! At least until I can get all of the kiddos together and have one made. My printer was almost out of black ink, so it printed sortof blue. It is unusual for my printer to take and print the extra thick papertrey inc paper, so when this printed, I knew I was lucky and it probably would not happen again. I found some paper and really am happy it printed sortof blue. I think it makes the card! I also printed the kids pics int he background, covered it with clear acrylic cardstock, and added a few stitches for that extra hold.
here is a cute quote I found: "Grandchildren don't stay young forever, which is good because Pop-pops have only so many horsey rides in them."
Thank you all for stopping by. I hope you and yours have a wonderful and blessed Father's day. Take time to let those special men in your life know how much you appreciate and love them.
HUGS!!!
Heather
