I was playing around with my bella that I messed up and she looks so much like Samantha from Bewitched I couldn't help myself. I loved that show as a child, so this is a card in tribute to her :) lol. It will so go in a box of my 'creative things I will never use'. I have lots of friends who do not celebrate as well as friends who do. I have family who REALLY celebrate, and the rest of us do things at church or just treats at home. I don't think giving them cookies and coloring pages is all that bad. I have talked to them about Halloween and they know what we believe and why/ what it is wrong and why we do not trick or treat... I could explain myself to the end and it may not help you understand. Please do not think bad of me. It is just a card. I had fun making her. I like how versatile the bellas are and cant wait to figure out more uses for them!! That being said and me trying to cover my guilt, lol.. here she is. It is latte bella transformed.:)
The 2nd card is Scissor Bella. I like her too. I used my cricut to cut out he lollipop and the treat bag. The other stamps in the cards are from the dollar bin at AC Moore. Bazzil CS. Everything is cut and paper pieced. Thanks for visiting me! Please don't hate me now!!:)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV
:) Those are so very cute!! :) :) No need to explain about the whole halloween thing. We take Landon to my cousin's church, they have a big festival and he loves it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your cards! They are ever so creative! No need to explain.. We are Christians that celebrate Halloween. Click here
ReplyDeleteto see an article I found from James Dobson about the whole trick-or-treating thing. Each to his own! Love the cards though..
These are awesome...how smart are you?!?
ReplyDeleteTHANK you Jessica!!! I love James Dobson and have a few of his books. I have never seen this, but it explains exactly how I feel. When Hannah was 3 we handed out candy at the mall instead of getting candy. she drew a pic on the bag and we wrote scripture verses on them. I truly appreciate your comment and link. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteHeather I can't get over how talented and creative you are! AWESOME WORK! I never would have thought of altering the Bellas like that! What a GREAT idea!!!! Your cards are beautiful!

So cute!!! It's funny, the movie "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman came on last night. I didn't watch it, but I saw that it was on... : )

ReplyDeleteThat really does look like Sam from Bewitched! I sympathize with your 'pain'. I won't celebrate Halloween with my son, but sometimes I think it would be so cute to dress him up in a cute costume...
