truth

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh."

Ho Ho Ho!!!

Christmas is my most favorite holiday of all. I have so much fun decorating, crafting with the kids. Smells .. cinnamon. :) mmm. Finally some cooler air so we can breathe!!! I love the kids laughter and happiness. Lights twinkling. Going for late night rides to look at lights. I have so many wonderful memories as a child also. I could actually go on forever. I will end my reminiscing with this little story. My son and daughter love to look at and play with the manger scene. Hannah loves baby Jesus most. The first year Tommy Ray actually understood what it was, he would not leave it alone!! I had to get some resin figurines b/c the others were getting broken. He was asking me about it one day and called it Jesus' birdhoute (house) :). I LOVED that. it was so sweet!!! Thought I would share:)
On to the card:

I had totally too much fun making this card. I went to start a card for a sketch challenge .. but came nowhere near close:). When something pops in my mind I HAVE to do it. I went through my box of Christmas stamps and found I had a lot less than I remembered. I did find Mr. Santa and the garland .. and then it all came together. I drew and cut out the bag, candles, and stocking. I also sketched the holly in the hanging picture. The mantle, pic frame, and fireplace are paper pieced.
