MmmmMMmm... Hot Cocoa!!!

I think this is the most time consuming card I have ever made:)!! It was worrying me for a while. Not quite what I envisioned but After I completed it I really liked it. I made this for the house mouse challenge this week. It was to paper piece your image. I stamped this image 3 times. Cut and layered each mouse and the coffee cup. I really like this stamp, just have not had much time to work with it. I purchased it as one of my first house mouse stamps several months ago. I hold onto things and wait to use them:) lol. This was not a good idea for this hm stamp:(. When I stamped it I found out that part of hte tail was dented leaving a part of the image missing:( BUMMER! and sorry Gill .. :( ) i did have to draw that in as well as the steam on the tile back ground. I stamped the image onto the 'counter' but forgot the tile! I made the tile by scoring the paper then sanding it. I thought it turned out very neat looking:).

Little did i know in making this card that Spoon Full of Sugar was having their challenge this week as a Christmas card!! I am submitting this card to their challenge as well :) .. but I will probably make another anyway :) I have said it before and will again. I LOVe challenges for the sheer enjoyment of doing it. Challenging myself and learning something new. Meeting new people. I don't think I have ever set out to 'win' one. I feel the more I do and the more I learn the better I will become.

Not many materials used for the card. DCWV paper, cuttlebug, bic mark it markers .. and that's about it~!! Hope you like my card!

Hannah has a dr appt on Tuesday next week. I will let you know what happens!

  15. Hi Heather. I know the challenge was quite difficult this week. I thought it would be easy until i checked out what stamps i had and didn't think it possible to paper piece one of them!! Managed to get it done VERY last minute before posting the challenge (but don't tell the DT that or they'll think i'm slacking........lol). Your work is fantastic and the time you took to make it really reflects in your card. I promise next weeks is easier *wink wink*. Thanks for taking part in HM&F. x
