My husbands grandma has a friend who sometimes asks me to make her some simple cards to mail out to fellow church members or friends. She likes them simple for mailing purposes (we all know how much care is taken when we mail our heavily embellished and layered cards). For some reason 'simple' cards are hard for me. They seem too plain? or I just can not figure it out. I was told Monday that they were coming down, but had forgotten about the cards .. so these were all made last night. I will only share a few seeing as I made 2 (sometimes 3) of each card very similar. I did not realize it until this morning that I had made a lot of black, white, and one color cards so I am entering these into the stamp something Friday challenge as well. I hope you like my simple little cards.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV
It's sometimes quite refreshing to do simple but elegant cards and these look terrific Heather - you are so sweet to make them for your husband's grandma - she may not want to send them out!!!
ReplyDeleteI love them ALL BUT i ESPECIALLY LOOOVE THE BLACK AND BLUE ONE WITH THE CUPCAKE. Jack hit the caps button. I try to send a birthday card to all the people in the cafemom groups I am in and sometimes I make a lot of simple cards so they are easy to mail and that way everbody gets one cause they are easy to make. Sometimes I take allready patterned cards from the Target $ bin and add a stamped image and stickles to it.
ReplyDeleteIt is SO past time for me to make some simple notecards too. DH is getting annoyed with how many stamps I have been using, lol! I really like your work, but I esp like the blue and black one. Something about it! Good job!
