Happy Anniversary!

Today is my parents anniversary. Their 33rd I do believe, am I bad that I do not know? I LOVE and cherish them so much. They have set a wonderful example for so many to follow as a parent, person and as a couple. I had to make them something special. I tried to look through my images but nothing stood out to me. I decided to draw an image for them and dedicate it to them when I do add it to my shop. It is ready to go ... just waiting for our next release. I am very interested to see what you think of it. The idea behind the image is how things, wonderful things bloom from love. When God is in a relationship, first in your lives .... God will bloom it into something amazing.
Happy Anniversary Mama and Daddy! I love you so much!!!

This card is being submitted to two challenges.

Paper Take Weekly: fake it :) lol ((did not think about that one and relationships... lol!!! Carol would totally laugh!!!)) My 'fake' is the lace punch and the paper piercing dots.

Stamp something Friday: Favorite color or paper. These are some of my favorite colors. It was hard because i have SO many favorites!!! This paper jumped out at me for this card. i thought it was beautiful and was in a SS package from my dear friend Carol (the very same mentioned above). The colors are some of my favorites ~ rich chocolate brown and raspberry. Yumm!

I do hope you like my card. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful weekend.
God Bless!!!

Apple Pie

I LOVE this sweet Sarah Kay stamp! Isn't she sweet??? I paper pieced her dress with my minds eye paper and colored her with my prismacolor markers and skin copics. I kept this card very simple to make the image really stand out and be the focal part of the card. This card was made for the Stamp Sometihng Friday Challenge. I hope you are all having a wonderful week.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by FaveCrafts to make a project for them. This is the one I chose to submit because it was simple. They just wrote me back and confirmed that they added it to their site. SO exciting!!! :) I read my own post and see how I need much practice explaining and giving instructions :) lol.. but it is exciting just the same :) you can see it HERE

SS Friday

This card is for the challenge at Stamp Something: to use pink, green and yellow. I made this card with a RAKed image from my dear friend Norma. These Elzybells are so cute and you know I love anything to do with coffee. My husband took me to Michael's over the weekend and 'made' me get a small set of prismcolor markers with my 50% coupon. I have been looking and contemplating this purchase for months. I still think it is a lot of $$ for markers. I hope it was not a bad decision. Only time will tell. So far I really like them! This card was colored entirely with them aside from my skin copics. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. i am off to get the kids to bed. :) Good night.

Have yourself a PRETTY little Christmas

Yes, thanks go Cassandra and several blog challenges, my craft room threw up in Christmas!!! Oh the mess I have! lol! at least I have kept up with the rest of the house and have not slacked there... just that NO ONE is allowed in my craft room under any conditions! lol!!! This card was made for the Hanna Stamps challenge on SCS that was "Christmas in July". I love this Hanna so much! I think she is so pretty and the other stamps that go along with it just make the set extra great. :) Anywho ~ I found this scrap paper in my Christmas box o goodies and knew they would be great with her. I used a mini ornament as the charm. I colored her with my bics, copics and then added stickles and glossy accents to her. The ornaments on the tree were created using liquid pearls.

I am also using this card for the Christmas challenge on Stamp something Friday as well as the red white and blue challenge on OCC (hope it is not too much of a stretch for that one :/ )

I will be back later with MORE Christmas cards... yes, more! :/ lol!!!

Baby it's cold outside!

OK, so we all know that is not true :). At least not where I am anyway. The temperatures are reaching the high 90s and has been almost unbearable some days. This card was made with the ICs sketch this week. Dawn did it again, creating a beautiful sketch that got my mind to working. I flipped and flopped the sketch and finally ut just came to me. I never make them the way I expect i will when I first see the sketch. i had intended on making an envelope style shabby chic card ... but you get Christmas in July. I do hope you get to participate in this challenge. Dawn is giving away a wonderful prize as well. Be sure to go check it out and see what the rest of the DT has done with the sketch. The cards are all just breathtaking!

Thanks snow Much SU stamp set

I am also using this card for the Christmas in July challenge on Stamp Something Friday.

Simple Note Cards

My husbands grandma has a friend who sometimes asks me to make her some simple cards to mail out to fellow church members or friends. She likes them simple for mailing purposes (we all know how much care is taken when we mail our heavily embellished and layered cards). For some reason 'simple' cards are hard for me. They seem too plain? or I just can not figure it out. I was told Monday that they were coming down, but had forgotten about the cards .. so these were all made last night. I will only share a few seeing as I made 2 (sometimes 3) of each card very similar. I did not realize it until this morning that I had made a lot of black, white, and one color cards so I am entering these into the stamp something Friday challenge as well. I hope you like my simple little cards.

I like you ....

I made this card for Stamp Something Friday. ((see I told you I would not be able to sleep!!!)) Their challenge this week was to use only black, white, and ONE other color. Instead of my usual bright red ~ I chose a light red ;) lol! I used a mix of inkadinkado and hero art stamps, brilliance ink, DCWV paper, and my bic markers. I am going to try to get some rest. My hubby just got home from work so I will go and sit with him for a little while. Have a great night.

just because

I am SO happy that I have Mel on my sidebar :). I found her through a friend (Lisa maybe) last year when I first started my blog. I have not been able to bloghop as much as I used to, but had the chance to last night... and with perfect timing! YAY ME!!! Yay Us! YAY Mel!!! :) There is an AMAZING list of free digi images there ... and that is where I found her. Isn't she adorable? So many goodies on her blog. You REALLY must visit her. She is also WOWZA loaded with talent.

I made this card using Emily's sketch on Stamp Something Friday. There are a few days I look the most forward to with challenges and this has become one of my favorite ones. I really like that place:). This sent might seem odd to use with this cutie image, but I had my reasons. I was thinking about kids jumping in puddles. When I ask mine why, they would say just because. So here is to a day of jumping in puddles just because. :)
The flower paper is by Making Memories, the dots are by my minds eye and I used my bics to color her in. The sentiment is a RAK from my sweet friend Cassandra and I am pretty sure it is from SU. I had fun making this card. I hope you enjoy it as well.
