And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

Happy!!!
Good morning.. eh.. afternoon? I have a new challenge posted at Freshly Brewed Challenges this week!!! We are challenging you to create an Oh SO Charming card. Yup, you guessed it. We are using charms this week!!! I admit, I chose this challenge theme, but I am not GOOD at adding charms to a card. This was a big challenge for me! I had the image colored, papers chosen, and all that good stuff. now, how to add a charm? Which charm to choose? I sat and thought and sat and thought some more. I then found this white heart and it hit me! DRAW ON IT! I drew a cupcake to match the one Angel Cake is holding. Then the next step was to decide how to attach the charm. I remembered all the felt I had in the kids sewing box. I cut the small cupcake pieces, sewed them together and then sewed the charm to the front. Voila! A card with a charm :D. Not as gorgeous as what the DT created... but being one of my first charm cards, I am pretty happy with it. Speaking of happy, I was creating this as a birthday themed card and wrote the word happy over the cupcake on the charm.
See the watermark? I have my DT member and dear friend Stacie to thank for that. She is awesome :D. She made one for all of us! Thank you girly! It was easy to add to my card with your step by step tutorial (which I needed... but it did not work for me in photoshop, but I still was able to figure it out because of your tutorial!! :D) and is just beautiful! No DER moments today. Yet. :)

This next card is another of my quilled flower cards. This was my first actually. I created the small one but it was too small. Then I created the larger one.. and it seemed a little.. blah? So I added them together. Pretty! but sort of thick. I then choose to make a base for the flower to sit in. The hearts created a sort of window for the flower and the ribbon added dimension to balance off the card. I really had fun making this one. It fits the sketch over at Eat Sleep Stamp.
I am off to clean the house, cook dinner, watch my kiddos and the little sweetie we have been babysitting, get Han ready for Tap and we are heading to a new church tonight to see what kinds of kids programs the kids have there. My kids are SUPER excited about that. And that makes my heart happy.
Thanks for stopping by. I am sure you have already finished your cuppa joe being how this post has been longer than usual. ;) I enjoyed your visit though :D
Have a blessed day.

Great cards! You did a fantastic job on the little details! Thanks for sharing! :) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYes, Heather--you must do a tutorial on that gorgeous flower!! I bought quilling items and haven't used them yet--but I would if I could make a flower that looked like this one!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather!!! How are you?? Your cards are wonderful! I love your sweet cupcake! Soooo cute! And that flower on the second one is Beautiful!!!
ReplyDelete{{{HUGS}}}
Aw sweetie, I'm actually working a cup of chamomile instead of my java, lol .... head cold and sinuses and tea does the body good - I hope that still qualifies as a cuppa? LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE these two cards, my friend - first, the bright wonderful colors of the first card are so cheery and bright! And the flower on the second is just stunning - you have more talent in one tiny pinky than I do in my entire person! LOVE it.
Blessings to you - know you are thought of, prayed for, and loved much!
Girl these are FABULOUSO!!!!! I love the bright happy colors of your Happy card!! What line of paper did you use?? Have a fab day my dear friend!! Blessings and Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteOh My! How did I miss this post when I was hopping around the other day?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you created your own charm and added the felt... you're so creative and I still can't quite figure out how you find time to do it all! And tea parties too?
So, like the others have mentioned, when will we be getting a quilling tutorial. I don't even know what "quilling" is, but if it looks like THAT, I wanna learn!!
And the watermark! Thank you for the shout-out... that was very nice of you!
You can change the color by using "Hue and Saturation" and "Lightness" if you want to make it darker or lighter... then it might show up a little better for you... I don't use Photoshop, but I think those terms are pretty standard for photo editing!
I have posted a Blog Award for you HERE ON MY BLOG to thank you for all you do to inspire me!!
