Quilled Flower


I have been wanting to get back into quilling and making a 'different' style card for a while now, I just have not had time or the mojo juice to do so. I got an email from Tip Nut that had a list of handmade paper flowers, and I saw this on on a quilling website / blog. I have since made a few of these flowers and here is a card I made with one. A friend was in need of a wedding card for a friend who is getting married. Her colors are red, black and white. I had ribbon and lace out, but chose to add traditional quilling in the shape of flourishes coming from the base of the flower. I added stickles to the edges of the flourishes and flower petal tips. I even added a little quilled heart to the middle of one flourish to add an extra touch of 'love and romance' to it.
