Hello friends!
For you today, I created this cute little box AND made a simple little tutorial to go with it. I know this is one of those duh! posts. We all know how to make these, but JUST IN CASE someone needs an uber simple box, here ya go! :D
***The dimensions are for the use of a score pal or other comparable tool.
box base:
8x8 cardstock
score at 2 1/8 and 5 7/8 on each side
Cut on the 4 score lines as shown and add strong adhesive tape
Fold up flaps and align at corners to form the box base.
Create box top the same way. Cut a 7 x 7 square, score at 1 1/2 and 5 1/5 on each side. Cut score lines. Wait to add tape. Do not assemble box top yet.
Cut four 1" x 4" strips of paper
Cut with punch or scissors if desired
tape border pieces to inside of box
tape and assemble box the same way as the base
** The box top will be as deep as the base. If you wish to make it smaller, drop the size of the square an inch or so, but score at the same measurements provided in the above tutorial.
Decorate as you wish!
The 3D challenge at PCP this week is to create a box with a peekaboo hole in it. I thought after putting this box together that Cordilia swims would be a perfect addition to this sweet and girly box. Doesn't she look like a curious little lovely peeking into the box to see what treasures are hidden inside?
Thank you for stopping by today. If my measurements are a bit off and your box does not work ... forgive me!!! I tried, lol!! I know there are lots of other wonderful box tutorials out there, so do a search first :D. I just winged it and this is what I came up with . My base was a little tight, that is why I changed the dimensions a tad. I first started with the base being 8x8 in size and scored at 2" and 6". ANOTHER reason we should save the tutorials for the pros! lol :D
Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
HUGS!!!

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Romans 8:28
truth
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV
