We host a biweekly challenge and for this challenge
we want to see.. you already know.. tags!
It can be a project that is a tag or have a tag on your project.
This card was created with a variety of embellishments and papers.
The little tag and bat were gifted to me. I believe they are from SU
The little embossed picket fence was a Christmas gift from my daughter last
year. This was the first time it has been opened and used :-( I distressed it with a
cheap ol ink it up white ink pad. The ghoul-friend sentiment was hand written. The
white cardstock was cut out by hand. I added a witch hat brad and an ADORABLE little spider brad from a making memories toil and trouble set that was gifted to me.
I a confession to make... I really don't celebrate Halloween.
I never have really. We (my sister, brother and I) went a few times as a child, but not much.
My kids have gone a few times to local trunk or treats or some neighborhood
things. This is not just because of their food allergies, I just never really liked
the holiday all that much ;) lol!!! However, I do have fun creating SWEET,
not spooky, Halloween themed projects for my friends and family that do.
And I like to make treats for the kids at home. We have fun making WORMS for lunch
or dirt cupcakes with the gummy worms coming out. I even made frozen grapes
as eyeballs one year. They didn't eat ANY of these things because they have a mind like their
mama. Sometimes TOO imaginative and it all becomes too real, lol!
I don't know if it is possible to semi-celebrate something or not, but that is what we do I guess.
I want NOTHING to do with the blood, gore, witchcraft, or demonic aspect of it all.
I will just take the cute and sweet please.
I also cut the top of the card with my scissors. This started to become tedious
and I wondered why I started that (smile) I then ran my scissors across the top to make them stand
out and distressed the edges with the same ink it up white ink pad.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Now you must think I am even more nuts than before.
Well, you don't know the half of it!
MWAHAHAHAH!!!!!
(just kidding)
I hope you will play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges.
Have a very happy and blessed day,
Heather
