Well, the secret is out!

We are gearing up for the next rubber release and starting things off with a card kit! WAhoooo!

All three stamps are included in the accessories stamp set that will be included in the card kit.

This first card was created using the sand castle. I kept this card simple and used a trifold style. The hemp chord ties around the back of the chord and through the flower to keep it held together.Challenge:

This next card is using the beach bag. I kept this card very simple. the papers are so bright and cheery, I felt anything more would blow you away :) I also used the Eat Sleep Stamp sketch for this card

My final card was created using the ice cream cone and the sketch at Papercraft Star. I think this one is my favorite. I just love the bright yellow dot paper!

WHEEEEEE!!!

I feel like I have been on a roller coaster! What a crazy few weeks I have had. I started school this week and was very disappointed with the online school I had decided to try out this year. We reviewed the curriculum and decided it was not the route we wanted to take and withdrew the kids from the program. We are signing up, again, to home school the kids using my curriculum choices and my 'gut feeling' lol. I was very pleased to find out I HAVE been doing a good job and my kids are well ahead of the public school curriculum here. I feel very confident about the year ahead.

My son turned 5 on Wednesday. My baby boy is now a big boy. Something about turning 5 is so hard for me! He had a fun day. We took him to Wilmington on a hunt for a "hung Foo Turtle" suit. (teenage mutant ninja turtle). Our TRUS called them and they said they had some .... but they did not. It was not a wasted trip because we took the kids to the fort fisher aquarium and had a lot of fun. We made cupcakes last night. Egg and milk free:). We still have not given him his gifts ... I want my mom and everyone to get together to do it. I guess he will have the longest and birthday ever! :) something new every day, lol!

No crafting time for me really. I have been doing everything but! Some new things going on in my life, alot of the same ol thing :) but I hope to get back in the swing soon. here are a few pics and one card I made for my Cute Critters Club card kit swap. Enjoy.

Card Kit Challenge

A Cafe Mom group recently went from being a house mouse group to a cute critters group. We just completed out last 'house mouse challenge' and this is my result. The challenge was to make a square card with the card kit we received in the mail. It had to have faux/ paper piercing on it somewhere. I may have went overboard ... but I like it. :) I cant tell you much since it was a card kit, but I know the patterned card stock was by DCWV: Glitter Stack. I used my crayola colored pencils to color in the image. I put stickles and regular glitter glue on the gifts to make them sparkle. Birthdays are supposed to be shimmery and fun right?? :) I especially love how this cute little mouse is so surprised! It is so sweet. I hope you like the card I made.

Oh, and I am so proud to say that I won a sketch challenge this week on Craftastic times with Heather >HERE<. I ended up really liking the cards I made for it. It feels good when you make something you are proud of:). She is doing another one this week so go and check her out:)!!
