Love is in the air

Today has been one of those cloudy lazy sort of days. 

We have had such an eventful week that it has been hard for us to get going. 

The kids have been lazy and sleeping in. My dear sweet friend has been sick for some time now. 

 My granny is in the hospital. I have not wanted to get anything done. 

All partly lack of motivation, a little stress and worry thrown in the mix, a few 

aches and pains here and there... but when it comes down to it 

GOD IS IN CONTROL OF IT ALL!

He is in control. We must let Him have all of us. Our stresses, worries, pains, moods ..

all of it! So .. today... when I realized I had let it get out of HIS control and back in 

MY control I gave it back to Him.

IT'S RAINING LOVE

I used a PTI Cloud diecut for this card. I loved using it in this way. 

I thought it was fun layering the patterned paper behind the diecut image. 

The papers are all by PTI, the twine is by Martha Stewart, the image was 

colored using copic markers and the bg paper is by heidi grace.

You are my Sunshine!

Good Morning everyone!!!

I hope the sun is shining and today is a lovely day for you. We need rain here! My garden is not doing well, it has been almost a month since it rained last.

This week at Freshly Brewed Challenges we want you to put a little song in your heart and create something with a song theme. I appropriately chose the song You are My Sunshine. This song has many meanings and childhood memories attached to it for me and always makes me smile. I also add the rainbow, because in order to have a rainbow you need sun AND rain!!! :)

Fairy Dust Inspirations Paint

This card is just a card base using white Papertrey Inc Cardstock.
I painted this rainbow with inks then added doodles and a handwritten sentiment. I painted over the rainbow with Fairy Dust Inspirations Paint to give it extra shimmer. I then colored, cut and popped Cutie Pie in Clouds on the side of the card. To fill in the void below the rainbow, I drew a small cloud to match Cutie Pie. Very simple, bright and happy little card, don't you think??
