For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

Oh that little black dress!!!

This card is for another challenge I found on Tanis' blog. This challenge is given by caardvarks and can be found HERE It's theme is 'out of the closet'. When I think of my closet .. I shudder:)! lol! I usually wear old clothes during the day to clean, craft, play, and homeschool the kids. I have very little time to be 'pretty'. I have very few pairs of shoes, very little handbags, and very few items of clothing that actually fit... but hope to one day wear comfortably again, so I keep it and refuse to purchase more. That being said... I have a little black dress (or 2:) ) that sit lonely in the closet. Not much time to play. I usually wear them once or twice a year. Our anniversary, when my husband has a function at work (rarely ..maybe an award ceremony or Christmas party). I am dedicating this card to all of the lonely black dresses out there. You know who you are!!! I am also naming AUGUST 21 NATIONAL CRAFT IN YOUR BLACK DRESS DAY!! :) lol! :)

On a serious note, I really like the way this card turned out! I used the same paper I had used in my sisters clipboard (bella ... 2 posts down?) But this time I used the opposite side. I thought this paper was so pretty! I wish I had purchased more. I stamped my image with brilliance ink on vellum and let it dry. I then attached it with vellum tape and added crystal brads to it. You cant have a black dress w/o the bling! Right??

Thank you for this challenge. Hope you all have a blessed night / day.

Materials: Vellum
Brilliance Ink : Graphite Black
Dress Stamp: Stampabilities
Patterned Paper: s.e.i
crystal brads: making memories
silver gel pen
