not enough ways to thank you ...

This weeks challenge on house mouse was to make a mothers day card or a card for a mother. I made mine for my mom and dad. They have been there for me and my family so much over the past few weeks ((my whole life.. whenever I need them they are there... even when i don't tell them... they just know)). I could never thank them enough nor be able to tell them how much I love and appreciate them. My heart explodes with love for them. I am so blessed. They have lifted me up in prayer, prayed for my sweet girl, been there for me when I needed to talk, a shoulder to cry on, researching and looking for help when I was so stressed I could not think straight. I don't know what I would do without them. I chose this image for a few reasons. It is happy and bright .. much like our days have been since Hannah is felling better and recovering from this infection. ((confirmed today, she has a staph infection on her skin and it took us going to Duke for someone to find it. all the other drs never tested, she had it for approx 6 weeks before she was able to get treatment. I am so glad God had his hand upon her the entire time and took care of her. )) Ok, back to the card. The 2nd reason I chose it was because it was much the way I felt over the past few weeks. I could not think, breathe, I cried, I worried, I was a wreck. I felt that with their prayers and help they were taking some of the weight off my shoulders and really helped me through. It reminds me of the verse "Gal.6
[2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."

I colored this image with my prismacolor pencils, oms and a skin copic. I kept it simple since the image was the main focal piont of this card. I hope you are all having a blessed week so far. I am off to rest a bit.

  11. What a beautiful card! This is another image that would be perfect for my mom as her parents were strawberry farmers. My Aunt now has a strawberry farm and my mom helps out there. Such beautiful coloring and I love how you added dots and a button with ribbon.

Glad to hear your DD is feeling much better! That is always such a relief when our children are feeling better after an illness.
