truth

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

You Make My Heart Sing!!

No, this is not titled after the "wild thing" song, lol! This is going to be a very short post. I am not feeling well and have a lot to do today. We went to Duke Friday and found out our daughter has another (or the same) skin infection. She has been fighting this since January or earlier and i can't seem to get a handle on it? Please pray that we can figure it out this time and get her better. She has been through to much. This doctor we met was a very kind and very helpful man. You kindof just know when it is someone God placed there just for you. He did not tell us horror stories like everyone else, but gave us hope and said that there was no reason we could not get her better and she could lead a more normal life of playing and doing outdoor activities (which are FEW and FAR between right now). We will get the results and which step to take next today or tomorrow.

I made this card with my mom in mind. (which don't I make with her in mind anymore?) She has been there by my side holding my hand and supporting me even when I probably didn't deserve it. She is amazing and I always say it, but if I turn out to be half the mom she is ... pass this love and patience and selflessness, and generosity on to my kids ... she really is all of this and so much more. I am so blessed and so thankful for her and I love her so much. I am not sure if this is the card I will choose to give her. I am a little embarrassed to give her my cards? Don't know why. I showed her her card from last year, but still have it here on my shelf with the others:/. Maybe i will give her both this year :). I used a RAKed card base, RAKed paper, and a RAKed image for this card. The sentiment is from inkadinkado. I colored my House Mouse image with my prismacolor color pencils and OMS.

This card is also for the OCC Challenge. I am off. Have a happy Monday everyone.

  2. Heather~ I'm so sorry to hear about Hannah's skin infection. I know that as a mom you just get so frustrated when you can't get your kids better! But know that there is another mom out there who is thinking about your family and praying for Hannah and for You! Prayers for Strength, Peace and Love are being sent your way, my dearest!

Oh, and your card is cute too! :) LOL! I love that HM image...
