Yes, I am still alive.

Hey everyone!!! I know I have not posted or been around much the past week. I am here... but fighting the sickies since last Wednesday night. I have hardly a voice and can not shake this cough. UGH!!! Now my poor hubby has it... and he has to testify in court today... with no voice and coughing terribly. I will be praying for him all day, I can promise you that. Poor guy.

Anyway ~ Today is WEDNESDAY!!! WOOHOO!! one of my favorite days of the week. Why? Because I have made it through the dreaded first of the week blues and it will be (fingers crossed) smooth sailing from here on out :D This cold should be headed out the door soon and I can sleep, talk and breathe again :D Yes, that will be wonderful :D. Another reason... it is time for a new FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE!!! WAHOO!!!!! This weeks is a fun challenge. We are asking you to show off your skillz... bow tying skillz that is. Ribbons and bows is what we are asking to see!!! I am not a pro I will be the first to admit it. Then WHY did I choose this challenge... Well, I am not so sure! lol!!! I think bows are just beautiful and maybe with a little more practice I will master it and make gorgeous creations like I see floating through blogland! :D

Here are the cards I created to inspire you with today:

Some things are Better Rich (Rubber Stamp)This card was created with all scraps from my huge scrap / RAK pile. I paper pieced her towel and tied the deep blue satin ribbon the best way I could :D Not perfect, but I think it turned out pretty. My sister needed a spa themed card with a midnight blue theme... I hope I achieved that for her. The sentiment came from an Inkadinkado Clear set Girls Gathering.
This card was created using the ADORABLE sketch at Eat Sleep Stamp. LOVE Tracy and her sketches are Da Bomb!!!:)

Other challenges include:
Digital Tuesday - (include a digital element) - Punches
Partytime Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges (JFF) - Use dies
Alphabet Challenge - "P" is for paper piecing

Joe and Java (Digital Stamp)
Another card made using scraps. I will do my best and say that the teal paper is from MME and the brown and white paper is American Craft. I colored the happy couple with prismacolor markers and shimmery gel pens.

I am using the current Inspirational Card Sketches sketch for this card.
BONUS!!! Did you know Fresh Brewed Designs is sponsoring them this week?!?! YUP!!! And their sketch is SOOO CUTE!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and will use it again! I was not able to make mine into an easel card :( Sorry...
Hop on over and play along for your chance to win some digis from the shop!

Other challenges for this card includes:
Digital Tuesday - (include a digital element) - Punches

Inspirational Card Sketches - SKETCH+ optional easel cards

Before I leave you today, I want to remind you of a few things!!!

Scrapbooks by the Sea
I was so excited to share this with you... but things in life around me were sort of weighing me down. I had personal things going on as well as getting sick. Over the weekend my heart was lifted and I was given lots of smiles from emails from my blog friends and design team friends. A few girlies really touched my heart by sending me some congratulatory notes full of love and smiles. Thank you so much Saskia, Linda and Carmen for these beautiful cards. They have been displayed in my kitchen for everyone to see and for me to be reminded of how good God is. He is always on time!!! Thank you so much for thinking of me. It meant more than you could ever imagine.

I know this was a long post. For all the details about the challenge and hop PLUS MORE!! check out the Freshly Brewed Challenges Blog!

Have a beautiful day.
