I hope you had a lovely and restful weekend.
While chatting with one of my best~est friends evah late one night while my hubby was working, I started creating this card. It did NOT turn out how I had planned earlier that day. I had picked out pink and black papers. I am so happy that I remembered I had just recently bought this paper from the Scrapbook Cottage. It is even more beautiful IRL! I LOVE these colors. Also while digging in my stash (I need to do that more often;) I found these coffee filters I had painted and glittered up a LONG time ago. Even as long as a year ago I would guess. I used my Marvy circle punch to punch the largest circle ... and it got hung :(!!! (TOC, did you hear me beating it against the floor last night while we were on the phone??) Well, I broke it! HAHAHA!!! Not so funny because I now do not have one, but it was one of those DUH moments ... therefore it was funny. Note to self: If a paper punch gets hung up, dont beat it against the floor or beat the inside with scissors. Something bad is bound to happen. Thank goodness I did not stab myself, I only broke the spring in the punch :D
I felt this card was just ME and I had SO much fun making it for ME :)
I had my challenge list on my table, and set it aside.I figured, If they fit the challenge after I was done, I would use them :) and out of the ones I had written down, around a third of them did fit! WOOHOO!!
There is alot of dimension on this card. The blue cardstock is attached to the base with a thin layer of foam mount. The die cut that Cordelia is sitting on is mounted with a thicker foam mount square. I layered the pink waves and ribbon over the die cut rather than under as I had originally planned.
I do hope you enjoy looking at this card as much as I enjoyed making it :)
Have a beautiful and wonderful week.
HUGS!!!
