For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,

It's all about the flowers...

I think that the flowers singing in Alice in Wonderland was one of the most memorable parts of the movie. I remember NOT liking how the lion ones looked :)) This card was one that was put together sort of like a puzzle as I went along. I had NO plan and no picture in my head AT ALL!!! I always do, I guess that is another reason I like it so much. It just happened. :)

I took my Drink Me Alice in Wonderland digi and colored and cut her out, attached her to the embossed yellow background, added glossy accents in a few places and set her aside. After a lot of just sitting and staring at her and a stack of scrap paper I just started throwing stuff together. I had this scrap piece of a flower coaster from my other Alice card *remember her, I posted this earlier this week*
decisions for Alice
I attached it to the top of the page and thought it looked cute. I thought I was done... then I saw the scrap of the little Cheshire cat. Perfect I said to myself! Then it still felt plain. The flower was just floating. I got out my Twinery twine and added a strip. It still felt plain. I had already had this song from the cartoon stuck in my head while creating it, so I thought WHY NOT! It was a long sentiment, but after I cut the words out separately and placed them down the stem, they JUST fit. *like Cinderella's slipper, but for Alice in Wonderland*

It is an adorable cupckae inspiration photo, so you really DON"T HAVE to use Alice themed things... Stop on over to see the pic and play along.

If you made it through this post, bless you!
I have a cold and have not been sleeping well AT ALL. I have had major coughing fits the past few nights and wake up feeling super icky! It passes after a few hours and I am ok until bedtime again, but right now I am still trying to make it out of ickyness :))

Sweet Treats for Alice

Good Morning.
I have already taken a trip to Walmart, the post office and to the bank. GO ME!!! and I am sick, so that deserves a double GO ME! hahahah!

It is time for a new Freshly Brewed Challenge!
This week we have a yummy photo inspiration challenge for you.
Of course I worked this challenge close to my new digi release. I have been so looking forward to using these digis. I am not an Alice superfan or anything.... but there is just something about the fun and mystery of it all that draws me in. I can do all kinds of weird and fun things to my cards that I might not do otherwise because it IS Alice in Wonderland!

I had a lot of fun coloring this image. This image is called DECISIONS FOR ALICE and can be found here at Fresh Brewed Designs under Digital Stamps and Alice in Wonderland.
I decided to get away from the traditional Alice colors for her outfit. I think she looks positively pretty in pink!

I colored her up with my prismacolor markers and copic markers. I think for this card the only prismas I used are the blue on her outfit and yellow on  the cupcake. The chipboard sentiment was sent to me from my friend Rhonda for my birthday. The paper is called I'm Late by reminisce. The cardstock is from Paper Trey Inc and the other papers are scraps. I coated several parts of the image with glossy accents. The large daisy / flower in the corner is actually a paper coaster by Martha Stewart. I cut a corner out of it in which you will see on a card I will post tomorrow OR you can see it by going to the challenge blog and checking it out there.

**DON'T FORGET!!!**
We are releasing some new Rubber Stamps this weekend!
Hope to see you at our hop!

decisions, decisions!!!

Oh poor Alice has too many decisions to make!
Should she eat the cake or drink from the glass? I say grab a hunk of cake, dip it and devour!
What's the worst that could happen ;) LOL!!!

This image is our NEWEST release at Fresh Brewed Designs.
She is called Decisions for Alice.

I had so much fun making this card and adding all of the gloss and glitter.
I have had this paper for over a year and a half now and finally cut it! It is double sided, the other side holds super cute little white rabbits with pocket watches. SO be looking for a card with that soon!!! :)
The 12x12 paper is by: reminisce : I'm Late

I colored this up with my prismacolor markers (because I colored it up over a month ago before I had my copics that my friend sent me!) then I lost it! I tore my room apart looking for this sheet of digis last night!
(yes, after our run with mayfest and getting ready for all of that, I procrastinated and made this card in full (minus coloring the image) last night!!) I added glossy accents over parts of the image as well as some dots to the button. I punched out the cupcake border with a Martha Stewart punch, painted it with tickled pink inspirations paints, coated the tops of the cakes with glossy accents then sprinkled Martha Stewart mica flake glitter over the tops.

This card was themed after the May sketch at I heart Sketches. If you look closely, behind the image and through the ribbon is another layer. I used clear cardstock for this layer of the sketch for 1) extra fun 2) so you could see the cute paper better 3) it is ALICE!
of course there has to be some mystery and fun added to it!!!
