CUTIE BUGS!!! New Digi Release at Fresh Brewed Designs

Good Morning!

I hope you have all had a wonderful, fun filled weekend. 

We spent some time at the water park with my family and had a lot of 

laughs and fun. It was really nice to de-stress and not worry about anything for a few days. 

I am so excited!

Today is THE DAY that we get to share our HUGE, NEW

Cutie Bug Collection with you!

I chose to create with the NEW Cutie Bug Luau Digital Stamp.

I printed this little dancer three times, and not until I did so did I decide that is how

I wanted them to appear on my card. Don't you LOVE when that happens?

Your whole creative outlook changes and your card is nothing like you had first planned :)

I live for the APPLAUSE!!!

Hello everyone.

I am here today with a somewhat personal post and a big ol'

WOOHOO shout out for my daughter. 

My daughter is a part of a dance troupe who competed last weekend.

My little girl and one other had competed last year with a larger group, 

but the other girls in her class were first timers. 

They scored very high winning a platinum award.

They were all amazing, I was (am) so proud of them.

Of course my daughter knocked my socks off. 

She amazes me every time I get to watch her dance. 

Blown away.

I wanted to do something special for the girls in this troupe, 

but nothing too cheesy since they are all tweens and everything 

that an adult does is cheesy ;). 

I decided to draw them in their costume and make them all a 

personalized card. I do hope they like it and my daughter isn't 

embarrassed by my giving them out. We shall see ;)

I used an OLD stack of 12x12 papers for these.

MME Garden Vignettes gitter cardstock. 

The other black and white cardstock base is from Papertrey Inc.

I colored the images using copic markers and added some black diamond stickles

to resemble the sequins on their outfits.

Good Morning!

I hope you have had a great week so far. 

I have, but oh man am I tired!!!

I don't think I have stopped all week long! The kids

have had their regular school work but also dr apts and dance classes and

all of the 'catch up from the weekend' cleaning.

 Whew! I think this week really has worn me out! 

GOOD THING TODAY IS TOTALLY CAFFEINATED!

Huh? you say. Well, every 5th Wednesday of the month, Fresh Brewed Designs is

hosting a fun, Caffeine Crazy 24 hour challenge. This is our first one EVER!

There are only a handfull of months that have 5 Wednesdays, so be sure to get prepared to play along!

I had a lot of fun making this card!

I loved layering and popping the scallops and

adding all of the fun, sparkly, extra fine glitter to the chipboard heart.

That piece of chipboard has been in my stash for about 4 years. 

I never really had a use for it. It was mauve and covered in paisly print. 

SO glad I had one of those V8 moments and was able to re-purpose it! :)

Welcome to my entry for the Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop for the Design Divas facebook/blogging group.  If you are just getting to this fun and special hop, then please start at Sue's blog here.

 We host a hop for our members the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  The theme is oldies but goodies and we to make a paper crafting project utilizing at least one item that we have not used in 6 months or more.  

I wanted to start this post off by saying HAPPY SUMMER!

Summer??? you say. It just turned spring! Well, the weather is NOT spring like. We had spring weather over the winter. I just had to break out the summer fun to celebrate this super warm weather we have been having. Still not sure this is a GOOD thing. I worry about  our gardens, the hurricanes, how HOT our actual summer will be... 

or will our summers be cold and fall come early ;) hahah!!! 

 My oldie but goodies on my card are... well... almost everything. I used my Cricut and the first ever cricut cart to create the frame and the sunshine. The waves are cut with a MFT die I purchased early last summer. The stamp is one of my own designs. It is a Fresh Brewed Designs summer 2011 release called Luau Party. She was colored up with my prismacolor markers in which many are well over a year or almost two old. Those markers have lasted me FOREVER!!! I know I have heard so many good things about Copics, but so far my prismas have been very good to me :D.

Party Like It's Your Birthday!

Now, on to my card. I created this card using some of Celeste's favorite images. Caution Contents are Hot and one of the cake digital images I created for her. This one is called Fit for a Queen (or Princess) Cake. I cut the top two layers off of it and made it into a fun party hat! Didn't it turn out TOO CUTE! :D

can you believe it is already {almost} 2012?!?!

I can't! 

Wow how this year has flown by!

This is my New Year's themed card. I received the clock chipboard embellies (by making memories) from my mom. I could not find one in the pack that was pointing close to midnight, so let's just say she is getting her party started early! hahah!

and she has coffee, of course! So she will be up all night, no problem! ;)

The girly girl on the card is one of my very own Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamps: Caution: Contents are Hot. Her dress is all glammed up with waterfall stickles.  I used papers that were gifted to me for Christmas (Basic Grey lauderdale)  as was the sentiment (stampendous merry muffins). The rhinestone bad is also a RAK from a friend that I have been hoarding for about 4 years. I have maybe 3 left. :) The plastic diecut she is attached to is from one of the kids Christmas toy packages ;D  (tip: save those! they make fun windows and are really cute for embellies such as hearts or flowers... and are pretty embossed too!) The ribbon is satin ribbon that I stitched myself and added behind the clock. 

I was feeling a little drained mojo wise, so I needed lots of inspiration for this card to be created. I first hopped to Papercraft Star where I found a coffee themed challenge! PERFECT for me, right??!?! Then to Paper Lovin Gals for this really cool photo inspiration with beautiful colors and clocks. Then on to my first ever DT blog Inspirational Card Sketches for the PERFECT sketch!

We're Ready To PARTY!!!

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means? 

It is time for a new Freshly Brewed Challenge.

I am not really a party girl ;) I can imagine that I would either be a party killer or the annoying silly one who drives everyone crazy LOL!!!

 I had a lot of fun making this card. First I printed all of the tiny digital cupcakes (you can find the little one free at the challenge blog this week), colored, cut and decorated them. After they were dry I attached them to a wreath shape I cut out using my cricut. My friend Carolyn sent me some ADORABLE Kitschy Kitchen paper for my birthday that went PERFECT with this wreath. I love all the little sayings in it that peep from around the wreath. I matted everything on PaperTrey Inc Kraft cardstock and voila! A happy birthday wreath :) I made this card for my Granny. This next card is for my sisters upcoming birthday. I went with a read and teal blue theme, but might make her another or a set with a more brighter teal. That is her favorite color, or one of them. She loves coffee as much as I, and she actually looks like this image, even skinner and more beautiful ;) in fact. This card was created using a PaperTrey inc cardstock base, AC patterned paper, blue Bazzil cardstock, prismacolor markers,  a digital sentiment and rubber stamp: I'll Take Mine to Go both found at  Fresh Brewed Designs.

it's a PARTY!!!

Good Morning everyone!

I know it has been rainy and icky around most parts of the world (according to all the facebook posts I have read recently;). Some of you are even speaking of needing to build an ark ;). But no worries there! God promised to never flood the earth again, so rest easy! The rain will stop! But for now, I am sharing a bright and sunny .... and a little bit funny card with you. This flamingo is a part of the Fresh Brewed Designs Cinco De Mayo digi set (under the category Holidays). I think she is so flirty and fun. What better way to celebrate a birthday party or any kind of party than in a happy sassy silly way! Noone likes a party pooper... a party popper! now that's a different story! I always think to the I love Lucy vitavitavegamine episode where she says "Do you pop out at parties? Are you unpoopular? Well are ya?" HAHAHA!! I hope this post made you smile and brought you a little sunshine.
