truth

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 / KJV

after the storm

The kids were excited and a little scared. We made them a bed in our floor where they watched movies, ate snacks and FINALLY went to sleep around 11 o clock. I was pretty tired myself, but the winds started and I couldn't sleep. Han woke up sneezing and sniffling ..and stayed that way the rest of the night. She ended up in bed w. me. hubby on the couch. The winds were pretty bad. I got a little worried / scared. Mostly for family or thinking about tornadoes hitting. I slept off and on all night, Hannah butted up against me on the edge of the bed:). I have a king size bed, but i promise you I slept on 6 inches of it last night. She kept scooting over and if i tried to move her she screamed that it was her warm spot. I didn't want Tommy Ray waking up so I didn't move, just laid there... lol. thinking on it, I could have moved to my hubbys side, lol. Oh well. Now I am waiting for my coffee to brew, looking out the kitchen window at a few semi strong wind gusts, but it is very peaceful. Just keep wishing Ike away for me:). I really do not want to meet him! If this was just a TS, I really really do not want to see a category 4 ~ 5 a commin! Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and concern. Love you girls!

  1. I will be praying for you and many of my friends and family that live in the way of Ike. Stay safe. The picture looked like a night light or a picture frame. It took me a while to figure out it is a window.
    Stay safe xx Anna

  4. Heather,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is raining buckets here, but your posts remind me how lucky I am not to have to worry about storms like Ike. Your children are a couple of cuties!!!

  6. I have a king size bed too...and for some reason I am ALWAYS hanging off the edge with a child pressed against me and my hubby on the other side snoring his head off! Oooh, but I love it so! I am glad the storms are mostly over and your family is safe! Hug Hannah and TR for me! Big hugs to you too!!

  7. Awe, you are such a good mom, Heather. I am sorry, but I had to giggle when you were talking about sleeping with Hannah and her yelling that it was "her warm spot". I know it was not funny at the moment, but I got a small giggle out of it.

When Noah had gastroenteritis (as well as DH and I at the SAME TIME...uugghhh...) I had to sleep with Noah. I made a palat on the floor and I SWEAR I have NEVER slept with someone so SMALL who could take up ALL of the space in a bed! I swear, LOL! HE was ALL over the place!
