For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer

Happy Wednesday!
I am so excited  to share today's post with you.
I was chosen to be the guest designer for Word Art Wednesday
and graciously accepted this honor. I know I am not the best designer /
card maker out there, but I love to create and more than that share God's love
with everyone I possibly can!

We were given this text to work with this week:
Word Art Wednesday Challenge 144

Here is an excerpt from their blog post:

He knows the number of people, He knows each person's name, and He offered Himself as a sacrifice for EVERY person who has ever existed.  What an incredible thought.  Even babies who have died in birth, or before their birth - He knows each one by name and He loves them.  There are people who choose to deny Him, but NOTHING can change absolute truth.  What joy we find in each and every verse He has given us.  Isn't it EXCITING to learn that He knows each star by name?   It assures us that He puts even greater value on those He suffered and died for, and it's AWESOME to think that HE KNOWS YOUR NAME, and that you matter to Him!

AMEN!!!

I am so amazed every day at how much he loves me.
How much he cares for me.
That he knows my name!

For my card, I chose papers that went with the obvious part of the scripture, STARS.
I printed the sentiment over a piece of sun shine designer paper.
I thought it sort of symbolized  the Son of God
and we are all the stars surrounding Him. He values and loves each and every one of us.

One day we will see him and get to hug Him and thank Him.
I can't wait. Oh the joy it brings to my heart to think about that.
It does make me sad, though, to look at the world now and the things we are all facing.
Especially the children coming up behind us.
It is our job to teach them about His LOVE and how Jesus died for our sins.
We need to teach them to fear and respect God.
To get to know him and spend time with Him.
So many things are coming up on the television and media that are completely blaspheming God.
This week when flipping channels I saw a Saturday Night Live skit (I didn't know what it was at the time of watching, it just caught my eye) that had bible characters as birds. It was called the Bird Bible
and was said that it made it more 'real' that way.
My dad receives emails and things from other pastors. He received one
letting him know about an upcoming show called Black Jesus.
When viewing the trailer on it, we saw that Jesus cursed, drank, smoked pot ... among other things.
I couldn't even finish watching it, my heart was so hurt and sad and angry.
I saw a bumper sticker on a car that said PLEASE DO NOT PRAY IN MY SCHOOL.
I thought, of all the things to worry about, you are worried about prayer?
Sex, drugs, cursing, bullying, weapons ... none of that bothers you as much?
You chose to find a bumper sticker about how you are against praying in school?

It is time for Christians to stand up. Be proud of being a Christian (which means Christ like)
Don't be afraid of who you offend. If you are speaking in a Christ like way and doing what He wants you to do, then you wouldn't be doing it in an offensive way anyway.
PLANT SEEDS. Bring all you can to know and love Christ. It might take a while for some.
They are watching us to see what we have and if they want it.
Do you live a life that shows Christ to others?
I know I fall short sometimes. But He brings me back.
He tells me where I messed up. He brushes me off.
He sets my path straight. He loves us ALL. EVERYONE. Even those who deny him, the ones who speak so badly of him. THOSE ARE THE ONES HE WANTS!
Pray for our country.
Pray for our children as they start this school year.
Pray and grow in your own personal relationship with God.
Ask him what you can do for him.
Don't sit back and look at the world as it is and think it is too late.
That is so easy with all the hate and ugliness around us.
Be strong and know that we are still here for one purpose.
To win souls for Christ!

Thank you for stopping by today!

I hope my rambling made sense and that you got something from it.
Either way, it came from my heart and God was talking to me,
so I am good with it all :)

Have a very blessed day!

  2. I am SO delighted to have you as our Guest Designer this week, Heather. We've already gotten some nice comments about your card. What a joy to read your post and to know that you are real Christian who will stand up for Jesus no matter what people say. I recently chatted with the owner of a stamp company (I'm sure you've heard of them) and she told me that she and her husband decided NOT to associate their company with religion/God, etc. Up until that point, I thought I wanted to be on that DT, but once she said that, my desire to design for her flew right out the window. How sad it is that people claim to be "Christian" and then want to deny Christ when it comes down to the nitty gritty. We know what the Bible says about that (Revelation 3:16 and Matthew 10:33 just for starters). I am absolutely thrilled to have you with us, and I pray that God will bless you in a special way through this experience. I am praising Him for you. Feel free to comment on entries, and to invite people. We want to share His love with everyone!
    Blessings,

  3. HEATHER!!!! First, before I get carried away, I love your card. It's gorgeous. How totally fun to have you designing with us at Word Art Wednesday. I would have to ditto Karen's comments about your post. What a thrill to be walking with a sister of the heart and spirit! It's been forever since I connected with you in anyway, but every time anything "fresh brewed" crosses my path I think about those day when you questioned staying at it. I'm so glad you did!!! Having Christian crafters and store owners is a viable way to exalt the Word of God, which is why Word Art Wednesday is so near and dear to my heart. I am really excited to see you again, to be able to touch base and share in your wonderful creativity again. May God bless your time with us, renew fellowship, and make your way joyfulful as you proclaim Him and His Word through your crafting. SO GOOD to connect again!
