Celebrate!!!

I hope you have all had a nice day. It seemed to be warmer here today, maybe? Hope that trend stays a while!!! I was able to make this card tonight using my Country Girl Birthday image from Fresh Brewed Designs.

I colored her with prismacolor markers and skin copics. The cake is coated with tulip slick paint to make it look more 'real'. I have to admit, I have very little ... next to none .. experience with a sewing machine. This is the first time I have used the one my hubby got me for Christmas. I have a feeling my Hannah will use it more for making doll clothes than I will :). I did enjoy flinging my paper around and making a mess thought :D. I could not for the life of me keep it straight ... but really like the way it looks. Sortof has a lasso feel to it ... so it goes with the country girl feel, right?
OK, I am babbling!!! I really need my coffee :)
The kids are still a bit under the weather so to speak. They have terrible coughs. This is how they spent their afternoon ... until the fighting and screaming started.. UGH! Hope tomorrow will be much better. Poor babies :(

Have a great night!
Heather

New Beginnings

This card is all about new beginnings. I created this image yesterday and could not wait to find a way to use it. When I saw the Mojo Monday Sketch and a challenge over at Papertake Weekly (new beginnings) the card just fell together.
I said in my previous post that I do not 'do' New Year resolutions, however, not just for this year, but from here on out I am going to do more for my Savior. ((see, I said Do more and not try to do more:)!!!)) When I think of a new beginning, I think of what 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
I was saved at a very young age, I was brought up in church and have seen many miracles. I know how amazing, loving and caring our God is. At the same time, even still, I do not do enough to show him how much I love him and how much he means to me. I want to become a better mother, wife, teacher, friend and person. I want a closer walk with Christ and to be made new daily by reading more, having a stronger prayer life, having a special, intimate relationship with Him. It is easy to skip over all these things with life getting so busy. I have many things I do daily with homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, dance and so on that I find I end up not having time by the end of the day and I say I will do better the next. the same thing happens the next day. It takes me making an effort, so that is what I have planned to do.
This Birds Nest image will be available soon to Fresh Brewed Designs. I also have my upcoming Hannah Belle release that you will NOT want to miss out on! Remember, you can win free images by adding my blinkie to your blog. Drop me an email if you want it and I will send you the html code!

I am off for the night. Coffee and cookies while I watch my husband do wii fit. I am mean I guess ... but that can't be helped :)!!! I will hide the cookies. At least he got hamburger steaks WITH homemade gravy!!! :o) He just opted for no taters :) lol! Have a wonderful night.

See you in the morning, I will be sharing a sassy little Busy Beauties card with you :).

Mousie Mojo!!!

This ADORABLE ballerina mouse was designed by a new sweet friend of mine, Lori. I am sure you all already have been to her blog or have seen her amazing creations, stared in awe and smiled. She is such an inspiration to all of us card makers, but more than that she is a very loving, giving woman who loves the Lord and is not ashamed to proclaim his name. She has recently had a life changing 'obstacle' if you will, but trusted God and trusted in him for his plan for her. (very much like what I have been trying to do :) ). This card was made with her (3 day so you better snag it) freebie. I was overeager and snagged the first draft .. but I love it just the same. The little dots on it give it character I think :). She is just precious. My Han starts her first ballet class of the year tomorrow so i was totally inspired tonight to make this card. I saw the mojo Monday sketch and it all just fell together. I am so happy :)!!! My mojo has been very VERY MIA. more than it has been in a long time. Thanks for sharing this wonderful image with us Lori! You have a wonderful start and adorable products. I know you will succeed and go very far in this new path you have set before you! BIG HUGS! Deep breath! :) You can do it!!! :)

For you

This card was made using the Mojo Monday sketch. I used a RAKed image from Hanna Stamps, bic markers, skin copics and Heidi Grace papers. I used my cricut to cut the circles and scallop. Sorry to keep this so short, I am getting the kids ready for snacks and bed. Hope you all have a wonderful night.

thinking of you

The pink elephant challenge this week is to use your fav color combo. I have sooo many that I decided to just use my sisters instead. :) She loves teals and greens... and loves coffee like me, so I (still on a Hanna / Riley kick) got out my coffee Riley. I LOVE this stamp. My favorite Riley hands down! :) I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for this card. I hope she likes it.

Hugs

Hey there! How are you all doing today? Me, I have had toooooooo much coffee. I have slowed down on my coffee consumption a little .... but today I got a little happy with all I was accomplishing from carding to cleaning to playing with the kids. Sigh. SO anywho :o) I am happy. Can I even tell you how NICE it is to feel happy? Now don't get me wrong, I have been happy ~ but still tired from Han being sick and just emotions running crazy. I have been able to catch up on a lot of things, getting back to my friends and catching up with them again, lots of things I had neglected that I had not realized.

This card, for Mojo Monday, is dedicated to my wonderful sweet girl, Hannah. She is such a sweet and amazing little girl. I do not deserve to be her mom. She and I are TOO much alike and spend too much time bickering about things... trying to have control and end up fussing back and forth. I pray she will grow into a strong, happy, confident, successful woman of God. I pray that the things I do only help her to become that and I do not hurt her in any way. It is also my prayer that God guides my heart, directs me, helps me have self control and the ability to handle things the right way, guard my mouth so that the things I say only bring goodness, understanding, forgiveness and teach her the right way. I pray she will follow her dreams and know she can do anything she wants to. She is capable of amazing things. Her heart is big and holds so much love. She is so artistic, so smart. She has an amazing imagination. Please God help me build her up and not break her spirit.

Ok, that being said, can you see it. This card SCREAMS HANNAH!!!:) My girl, lol, is so in love with cats. She has a ton of cat stuffed animals, figurines, toys... she loves them:). I found this girl at MyGrafico freebies. I just had to make a card with her. Isn't she too cute?

Caution:

I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge. I have had this huggabug image rak for a while and I also won this clear set of 2 sents from QKD a while back that just jumped off the shelf at me and said "use me! use me!" Now, you tell me, how can you tell any stamp no? I thought they were just too cute together. I also wanted to make my own bg paper for it. I took some watered down paint and dropped it on the paper to make ink dots. I covered most of them up with my image, but it was pretty I promise! :) I colored her with my bic markers and skin copics. Hope you like it. It was fun to create.

Have a blessed day.

Have a Bellariffic Day!

Did you have a great day? I did .. not. lol. It was a good day just not all as well as I had planned. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. I guess I should have known by the way my day started ((with bad coffee!!!)) and is ending ((with a different brand of bad coffee!!! ICK!)) Got to go and get some new tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

I did get to make a few cards. I did cheat though. the images for the Christmas ones have been

colored for a week now.. just have not gotten around to making them. The stamping bella was an image RAK. It was so pretty until i added stickles. :( then it messed all up :( Oh well... I did not know what type of ink it was .. I know better now.

I have a sweet friend who I think needs a pick me up. I have not been able to talk to her much .. but I have been thinking about and praying for her. She means a lot to me. I made this stamping bella card for a few challenges as well. First it is for the Mojo Monday. I have not participated in that in what seems like FOREVER!!! And the other is a bella challenge where the rules were to use only embossed paper .. no patterned paper at all. I will go and get something done. I need to plan out Hannah's schoolwork for tomorrow, maybe clean a little bit. Have a great night. Mwah to my sistahs :) lol.
