for you. yup, I used the sentiment from my turtle tot stamp (from stamping bella) for this one as well as my last bella card. :) I think this little turtle is adorable and cant wait to get more of him to add to my collection. I used fun felt for his tummym ny bic markers to color him, RAKed flowers, RAKed dewdrops, American Crafts paper, and green handmade paper (not sure of the brand, but I got it at AC Moore.)

I made this card for a very special friend that has been going through some tough things lately. I wish I could mail her a hug or do something more ... anyway, I hope this card makes her smile. She deserves it and so much more.

my sister asked me to make a card for her friends bridal shower. I had these images RAKed to me by my sweet friend Elanor a long time ago and knew they would be perfect for this. She loves pink and I tried to make it pretty, fun, glamorous, and pink all in one. I added stickles, glossy accents and lots of bling to the bride to be. I am very happy with this card and very happy I had time to make one this week :)! See, I told you this would happen! lol!!! OK, off to get the kiddies ready for beddy. I just may see you later tonight (fingers crossed:) ).

Orange you Sweet!!!

This card was made for 2 challenges. I found this sketch yesterday at the Inspirational Card Sketches blog and wanted to get a card in for it. I really loved the sketch and want to use it again. I used the bloggabella inspiration pic for the color scheme and overall feel. The pic was of a orangy and teal / green throw. My kids were painting with their watercolor today during school, so I snatched up one of their foam brushes and made my paper. While it was still wet I crumpled it and let it dry. I then tried to cut it :) and hold it steady to add to the card. I had to glue and hold it to the card because it wanted to "Not" stick. Then I paper pieced the cupcake with the same paper adding stickles to the icing. I wanted it to have a warm and soft feel like the throw but also sherbet yummy colors for the cupcake theme. I hope I somewhat captured that. I am off to get ready for tomorrow. Hope you all have a restful night. hugs!!!

YAY For...

BellaRiffic Friday!!! I got to play with my new topiarybella today just for this challenge. I have inked her and raked her already, but have not had the chance to play with her myself until today. I used RAKed paper and a metalic CS by DCWV She is colored with my bics and skin copics. That about sums up this card. I hope you like it and YAY for Friday!!! Have a blessed day.

no more peeks :o)

OK, I guess this project was one that I wanted to do a sneak peak for because it was something I have not yet attempted. I do not make many projects aside from cards ((that I have shared here anyway)). It was new and unfamiliar, but I was so happy with the way it was coming along I wanted to do a sneak peak :o). It is complete now and I am so excited to share it with you. I made this for my sisters friend whose daughter had a baby. ((does that even make sense??)) HA! Well, with her being a new grandma and seeing the pics of this sweet angel, I was inspired to make this for her. It is a surprise, she has no idea I am making it. I have never even met this lady! HA! OK, back to the project. I used my huggabuggs from stamping bella for this project. Twinkle Toes and Flutterby are just perfect for this don't you think?!?! They are so sweet! I cut the letters out with my cricut. The paper was a RAK from my friend Cass that I had been holding on to for a while. I used my cricut design studio to elongate the base shape ((otherwise it would have been more square. I used the leftover paper as a template, drew and cut out the shape from a heavy chipboard. ((that was HARD!!! to get straight!)) I then cut out the cream and the pink border from the design studio. I decided the plain cream cardstock would not be enough for me. I used mod podge and added some cream mulberry paper to my cardstock base. Then I used a glitter gel paint and brushed it over top of that. After it dried ...((have I mentioned how impatient I am. I did speed it up by drying it with my heat gun every once ina while))... I then ran it through my paisley cb folder from each side. It smooshed the middle, but the ribbon hid it well and added a sweet touch to it I think. I then began layering the letters and the paper pieced huggabuggs. My cropadile was the perfect tool to punch the holes for the lace to go through. It took me a while to make but I am so happy with the result. I do hope you like it too. Have a wonderful day. a flower for you

I got to make a card in the craziness of today! WOOT! With Hannah being able to eat again I had to go grocery shopping and restock. almost $200 later and we have a well stocked pantry and freezer again. I know it sounds like a lot of $$ but this should last us well over a month. I buy in bulk at Sams and always bargain shop. I also found that the heart healthy bisquick has NO SOY! yay! EVERYTHING under the sun has soy!!! I am going to have to start making my own bread ((ANY TIPS??)) but other than that... things are looking up. Han is taking a bath, TR and dad are watching superman, and I am listening to them all smiling. This is what I love when the evenings are happy and calm.

OK, on to my card. I love this little turtle tot and am so glad I got him! Hannah is also working on a CUTE card. She has colored a turtle tot, mermaid, and huggabug already today. She loves my bellas just as much as I do ... well.. except for my "butt bellas" lol! :)

I colored this sweetie with my bics and a white gel pen. The sent was included with the stamp and I love it! The card is a tad smaller than I usually make. AC Moore had come card / envie sets (25 cards/ envies for $3) that measured 4 x 5. I think it was a great size for this image. Larger ones would take up too much room. I used the sketch for Friday Sketchers for this card. I followed the sketch almost exactly. I felt it was fine just the way it was w/o adding much more to it. I cut the flower on my cricut.

ACK!!!!!!!!!

OK I know I know .. everyone's cards were shown there ... but HOW COOL IS IT THAT IT IS ON BLOGGABELLA!!! My card for Bellariffic Friday that is! This totally made my day! :) AACCKKK!!! That and I got goodies today that were belariffic!!! YAYAYAYA!!! ((BRB wo tupdate with pics!!! Iw as just too excited to be fully prepared! lol!!!)) did I say ACK?!?! :o) and YAY!!! lol!

OK ~ here are the things that made me happy today:

My sweet little big hulk man. He has become SO super obsessed with hulk .. well all superheros but Hulk mostly as of latley. He plays the kid games onthe internet and watches clips of commercials, lol ... he knows them by heart. He after watching it for a long time over and over last week woke up screaming b/c of a bad dream. He said he was chasing a beautiful buterfly and a rock with red glowing eyes reached up and grabbed him ... hulk, rock man, mean guys... I think he needs a break from this stuff, lol! He ran around all day yelling Huld Smash! jumping and booming:) lol! Love it!

BELLAS!!!!!! YAY~!!!! they came in today! I won a $20 gift card so this was under $25 for me ... free shipping too!!! Gotta love it! i have about 15 pages inked for RAKs ... I have not been able to play myself yet :( hopefully tomorrow! Also for almost a year now I have heard of this coffee creamer. No stores sell it here.. at the beach .. coconut ... really? I got to try it today ... and from a gal who likes reg ol bold joe ... it was pretty yummy!!! good for a treat:). AND my mom found a cookbook she had when I was younger ... a hersheys one to be exact. so now I have ways to make hannah treats that are egg, milk and soy free! WOOT! starting with this wacky cake for her bday :) ((well, I will have to do a test run :o) YUMM!))

I got happy mail from a very dear and sweet friend. This beautiful card and the wonderful note inside made me happy and touched my heart. Cass, you always know when I need a boost and I cherish your friendship so much! Thank you!

it's a girl thing

I made this card for the upcoming BellaRiffic Friday. I am not sure if I am supposed to post it here or not but I have not made a card since Friday so I kindof had to! :o) She is dryabella and I think she is so fun. I received her and the sentiment in a RAK a long time ago. The paper is DS cardstock by american crafts. I thought it went well with the challenge. I added stickles to her towel (only Bella would have a blinged out towel, right?? So Bella!!!) the hairdryer is topped with glossy accents for shine. She is colored with my bics and skin copic. AAAhhhhh Yes!

This card makes me happy!!! Maybe it is my coffee obsession?? or just the fact that I thought I had lost my mojo in the madness of the past few days. I made this card for Cute Card Thursday which was to use some sort of metal on your card. These little silver baubles (things :) ) came from the package Stacy sent me. I LOVE them. They are so pretty!! I had been wanting to pull out my bellas for a while. My sister requested i make a black and pink card, coffee related, for a friend of hers. I knew just what to do! AND my Secret Sis on cafe mom gave me this darling chandelier stamp! I had to use it with the JavaBellas. I do hope Becky and her friend like this card. I fell in love with it myself :) I like when I am happy with how a card turns out. I can go to bed happy now :) especially after my house mouse failure :(.

Did you have a great day? I did .. not. lol. It was a good day just not all as well as I had planned. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. I guess I should have known by the way my day started ((with bad coffee!!!)) and is ending ((with a different brand of bad coffee!!! ICK!)) Got to go and get some new tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

colored for a week now.. just have not gotten around to making them. The stamping bella was an image RAK. It was so pretty until i added stickles. :( then it messed all up :( Oh well... I did not know what type of ink it was .. I know better now.

I have a sweet friend who I think needs a pick me up. I have not been able to talk to her much .. but I have been thinking about and praying for her. She means a lot to me. I made this stamping bella card for a few challenges as well. First it is for the Mojo Monday. I have not participated in that in what seems like FOREVER!!! And the other is a bella challenge where the rules were to use only embossed paper .. no patterned paper at all. I will go and get something done. a lil transformation...

I was playing around with my bella that I messed up and she looks so much like Samantha from Bewitched I couldn't help myself. I loved that show as a child, so this is a card in tribute to her :) lol. It will so go in a box of my 'creative things I will never use'. I have lots of friends who do not celebrate as well as friends who do. I have family who REALLY celebrate, and the rest of us do things at church or just treats at home. I don't think giving them cookies and coloring pages is all that bad. I have talked to them about Halloween and they know what we believe and why/ what it is wrong and why we do not trick or treat... I could explain myself to the end and it may not help you understand. Please do not think bad of me. It is just a card. I had fun making her. I like how versatile the bellas are and cant wait to figure out more uses for them!! That being said and me trying to cover my guilt, lol.. here she is. It is latte bella transformed.:)

Shhh... it's a secret:). Carol sent me the SWEETEST RAK a while back and sent me a gift card to starbucks. I bought the mug in my profile pic with her gift. :o) She said she would buy me a cup of coffee... but she would have coke. Busy Days

I told you as time drew nearer to school I would be creating a little less:(. As soon as we get in the swing I will be able to have more time. It may be a few weeks before I am back full force, lol. I have gotten a few awards from some great friends that I will post tomorrow. Thank you girls for thinking of me. You all mean so much to me and are so special to me.

A while back I told you I was making RAK cards. As they are all coming in now and my friends are posting them I thought I would share them with you. They are just silly / funny little things. I had fun making them:) :)!! they are all paper pieced with love :) and giggles :).

I also had time to make a card for my dear friend Cass today. I love that girl so much!! She has been there for me in so many ways. She may never know how much I appreciate and care about her ~ but by golly I will do all I can to let her know :) I love ya girl!!!

This card is made from yet another image someone was so kind to send me. I joined a card swap on cafe mom and when I got mine it was filled with great goodies:) I had to make a card right away. my mother in law asked for some various cards. I have the thinking of you and the get well started, but not ready for pics yet. These are what I have made so far. She did not like the Bellas as much as I do, but I had to make her a few anyway :) . I love them so much!:) I made simple ones so far but plan to make more detailed ones for the ones she

A Bella and Back to School

I was awakened this morning just before 5 AM by my barking dog. She never does this .. and I am glad b/c she woke me up from a horrible dream. I let her out and tried to lay back down .. but knew I should take advantage of being up early to make a card since today would already be busy. We are heading out in a little while to get some homeschool books at a used book sale. I went last year and found a lot of cheap books. I know more about what I will need this year and am more prepared.

As for my card, I used my latte bella. I love her! I felt she was floating around in there so I added the brick background with my watercolor paint. I colored her in with my prismacolor color pencils and blended them with OMS. I added the black coffee stamp to the paper with a foam stamp and brilliance ink. The flower came in a RAK from my friend Cass. I thought it matched perfectly:). I used AC patterned paper and voila! you have a card :) Hope you all have a blessed day. Gill, I will make my coffee and fill you in on my 7 random things later today:). I am such a boring person .. pretty much what you see is what you get:) ... I will do some thinking:) lol.

For Becky

My sis has been making us so many goodies, like I said in my last post, so I wanted to make something for her:). I have to get pics of Tommy Ray in his hat and my CUTE cupcake monster (lol, Becky's words not mine). I love it!!! For now I will share with you the altered clipboard I made for her. She saw it when she came by today, so I am not blowing the surprise. I just need to fix it to hang on the wall and it will be complete. I wanted a coffee theme since FINALLY we share the same obsession. (am I making you want coffee yet, Becky? Huh? ) These Bellas did the trick!!! The paper followed. I added the red dot paper last as a spur of the moment decision. Still cant decide if I like it ... But it's too late now:). I hope you like it.. and I hope you enjoy it Becky:)

Beach Days!!!

I loved the sketch!!! I was so happy to find this blog, 2sketches4you, and challenge the other night. It is such a fun and interesting one.I have not used my beachy or summer themed stamps much, so it was my goal to in this card. My inspiration was the blue scrap paper I had in my drawer. I embossed it with my cuttlebug then sanded the top to show through to the white core of the paper. I loved the look of it. My card is not quite what I expected, but I am warming up to it. I should have colored in the floatie, but I remember as a youngin' :) using a black inner tube to swim and play with. I just had to make Bella one!! I used my ranger embossing powders again as well as paper pieced the float to her. I watercolored the background, added glitter and seashells to the sand for texture. It was a fun card to make. I hope you all like it. :) Good night.

Tuesday Already???

Wow!!! How has so much time passed. I have not been able to make many cards lately. I have wanted to, but sleep won!:). I had a busy weekend of cleaning house and grocery shopping. The usual:). I finally caught up and had time to play a little today.

The bellas are the final in my set of 5 for the JATC swap in my Bella group. I love my MWAH bella ((the stamp)). I think she is one of my favorites. I was afraid to buy her to start with but am so glad I did now!:) Maybe it has something to do with my butt obsession?? lol.

My piggy card is for my secret sis:) shh... I was trying to hide myself and used a stamp I got a deal on at AC Moore over the weekend. So you ladies on Cafe Mom who stop by here ... SHH!!!!:)

I hope to get some time to play this week. We have some family coming to visit and I plan to be pretty busy for the week they are here. My Granny and Aunt and Uncle are coming down Thursday:)! We are throwing Granny a surprise bday party on July 4th. It is not her birthday ... all the more to surprise her:)!!! Tat will be fun:)The kids are so excited. Bella + Bling ... nutthin betta!!!

I had so much fun making her. I think this is my favorite card I have made so far. It is the first time I used the OMS and 2 cuttlebug papers ((same folder different colors... duh didn't need to say that!)) I thought the MWAH bella was SO cute and have wanted her a long time. I finally decided on her ((against Hannah's protests, she hates her butt:) )). I hope you like my card. I added all the 'bling' to it because I made it for a bling challenge on crafting for sanity. I have never really used much bling, but I am now hooked!!!!!!! The last 2 cards in my post were made after this one .. BLING:) lol. I better go and start dinner. It's getting late. Dinner for 1, that is. Hubby is working late and mom has the kids for the night. I may be back if the creative bug bites me:)

Hey all. I joined the bellaholicsanonymous group on yahoo a few weeks ago.. around the same time I made my blog. I am figuring out how to get around there and joined the JATC swap to kind of help me learn everyone. I have never made an actual ATC of any size yet:/. It was a little intimidating. Here are my first 2... Three more to go!!! Now I am off to bed. Hope I still like them in the morning:).
