Wish you were here

This is the time of year we get to spend a lot of time with our families and friends celebrating the joys of Christmas and all of the beautiful things it brings. There are those, though, that we have to celebrate with from afar. They are so close to our hearts, but we do not get to be with them to celebrate. Whether it be for Christmas or just because, I hope you take the time to let those that do  not live so close know just how much they mean to you. We all KNOW that they KNOW, but a card or little extra something from time to time will touch their hearts in a big way. We all know that a card is really just a big ol' hug and smile stuffed into an envelope. I hope you will take the time to fill an envelope or two or three and mail out some hugs to the ones you love.AND IF YOU DO, I hope you will also enter our last weekly challenge for 2012.
Stop by the Freshly Brewed Challenges Blog to find out more.

I created my card this week using the
Fresh Brewed Designs Hello Rubber Stamp

I  made mine more of a romantic themed card.
I have been creating so many Christmas themed cards,
I needed a red and green color break :D

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope you have a very wonderful and blessed week.

Happy Hi!

Good Morning Everyone!
Yesterday was so beautiful here, I almost forgot it was a Monday.
My hubby was home, the kids completed their schoolwork early, I was able to clean the house...
So I am not dreading today like I normally am :)) hehehe!
I was able to create a simple little card for you today.
This card features the FBD rubber stamp:
Hello Girlfriend and the rubber sentiment: Dropping By
The white and black cardstock are by papertrey inc, the grey is by the paper company, and
the orange is a scrap piece. The ottoman was pieced using a distressed orange paper from the 6x6 stack: Basic Grey ambrosia. I stamped the image using momento ink and colored it using copic, prismacolor and sharpie markers.

Thank YOU for dropping by today.
Have a wonderful Tuesday

Gettin Sketchy With It

Hi!!!
I have two cards to share with you today. Both cards are featuring sketch challenges I have NEVER participated in as of yet ... so I am pretty proud of myself :)

The first is featuring the digital stamp: Triple Scoop
She LOVES her yarn I tell ya :-) I had a lot of fun with this card.
There is just something about orange and pink that just makes me happy. :-)

SEE! orange + pink = Happy
She was given her card home thanks to the  Feeling Sketchy week 13 sketch

Next up is a card I created using the NEWLY RELEASED RUBBER STAMP

The sentiment is hard to see. It says enjoy your day :) the sentiment stamp is from a small stampendous set

I took this stamp (which is actually two girls together) cut and removed her friend from her (mean I know)
and added this little chipboard button heart. I sometimes feel like when I use too many embellies that my card looks like a thrift store threw up on it. I am not good at adding lots of flowers and blingage and buttons and ribbons altogether like some people I know *cough* Sheryl (just to name one) But I do think this one flows pretty well. I had fun adding the YEARS old forgotten chipboard embellies. Hope you like it too :)

This card was created for the Seems a little Sketchy sketch #16

Can I Have Your Number?

HEHEHE!!!

We are cooking up some RED HOT creations at Freshly Brewed Challenges this week. Hop on over and check it out / play along!

ok, back to my hehehehe~ This card is one I had fun creating. It is simple but not simple at the same time. I had some designer paper that had die cuts out of some of the flowers, so I thought it would look really pretty with the red peeking through. This phone just kept saying pick me pick me... so I did... and then I was online looking up lame pick up lines praying I did not get a virus at some of the sites, hahah!
All in all... I still went back to the one thing I thought of to start with... "Can I Have Your Number?"
and the inside says "Can I have it?"... repeatedly. I took the card and showed my husband who immediately burst out laughing. I only know this quote because of him... he only knows it because of people he works with that showed it to him.... I have not seen or heard this quote in years... but, still, it popped in my head when I was creating this card. IF you now what this is from... at least say that you do so I am not the only crazy one out there :D HAHAHAHAHA!

The image is a Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp: Hello
I fussy cut the image and attached it to a clear acrylic piece I cut
with a scalloped oval spellbidners diecut.
Big Hugs! Lots of Love! and Many Smiles to you today.

 Heather
