Happy World Card Making Day Post #3

Hello everyone!
I have had a very busy day, but made sure I had time to create
for World Card Making Day!
I think this is one of the few ones I have actually been able to create for...

We left the house this morning at 9 am.
I took my images and markers with me to dance while the kids
rehearsed for the Nutcracker, and colored away!
After we got home (close to 1:30 pm) I cleaned up and waited
on my in-laws to visit. AFTER they left I started dinner...
THEN I was able to create a few CAS cards while the sauce is simmering.
(I am cooking homemade Beefaroni tonight. Yuumm!)

My first card features the
Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp:

My sister knits and when we both first started our blogs,
I helped her name hers. This was around 6 years ago?
Wow, where has the time gone?!?
Anyway, I named hers I'll knit you my pretty and your little dog too!
We both love Wizard of OZ, so I found it to be very fitting for her :-)
When I was coloring this image, that is all I could think about,
so I came home and created this sentiment to go with the image. :-)
I think my sister (Becky) would approve :-D

Challenges:

**********************************************************

My next card showcases my new Christmas color combo obsession.
I went to Hobby Lobby and saw their new ornament display... then saw this
photo posted to their facebook page a week or so ago:

Um... LOVE!!!
Then I saw the challenge at DARING CARDMAKERS
was hosting a challenge using these very colors! YAY!!!

For this card, I colored up my
Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp:

Don't you just LOVE this color combo?!?
I know I do! :-)

Challenges:
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Lots of Snowflakes

I am linking both cards up to the WORLD CARDMAKING LINK UP at
PAPERCRAFT'S AND SCRAPBOOKING:

*Both cards feature paper from the paper studio Christmas Basics 6x6 paper stack.
*Images were colored using prismacolor markers, copic markers, and sharpie markers.

Please check out THIS POST to find out how you can get a free digi
(offer ends tonight at 8 pm est, so hurry!)
and stop back in Monday for a NEW DIGI RELEASE at Fresh Brewed Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Gettin Sketchy With It

Hi!!!
I have two cards to share with you today. Both cards are featuring sketch challenges I have NEVER participated in as of yet ... so I am pretty proud of myself :)

The first is featuring the digital stamp: Triple Scoop
She LOVES her yarn I tell ya :-) I had a lot of fun with this card.
There is just something about orange and pink that just makes me happy. :-)

SEE! orange + pink = Happy
She was given her card home thanks to the  Feeling Sketchy week 13 sketch

Next up is a card I created using the NEWLY RELEASED RUBBER STAMP

The sentiment is hard to see. It says enjoy your day :) the sentiment stamp is from a small stampendous set

I took this stamp (which is actually two girls together) cut and removed her friend from her (mean I know)
and added this little chipboard button heart. I sometimes feel like when I use too many embellies that my card looks like a thrift store threw up on it. I am not good at adding lots of flowers and blingage and buttons and ribbons altogether like some people I know *cough* Sheryl (just to name one) But I do think this one flows pretty well. I had fun adding the YEARS old forgotten chipboard embellies. Hope you like it too :)

This card was created for the Seems a little Sketchy sketch #16

Where has the time gone?!?!

Sorry I have been soooo quiet. Things have gone KABAMO over here. My mom and I have been hosting weekly craft classes with some friends and another homeschool mom and her children. My mom and I are participating in a craft show thingy :) called Mayfest. It will be our first craft show EVER.  I have been painting away and getting things made for us. She makes the most BEAUTIFUL things. I am trying to talk her into opening an online shop, but she does take orders via email.... so we are taking baby steps. SO when she does, WATCH OUT! Her creativity and mad crafty skillz will blow you away! She and I will be doing this together the day before mothers day, so I imagine we will be laughing, hot and ill, laughing and so on. We will not know what we are doing. Someone should hide and video tape us for sure :))

Well, I created a new digi for you. I  hope you like it. My mom and sister are YARN ADDICTS and they create the most beautiful things. I thought this would be fitting for them (and other yarn loving peeps) as it is getting closer to summer
Our challenge this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges is a Photo Inspiration Challenge
and here is the card I made for you
A NEW DIGI for those yarn loving divas!!!
TRIPLE SCOOP!

I also started sewing some coffee cozies. Check out my Etsy and my facebook page for them. I have some really cute ones I made for Mayfest that I will have available for special order. Look for those to be posted soon too :)) Be looking for the one that was sold ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/FreshBrewedCreations/sold ) to be popping up as a giveaway VERY SOON at Link Up For Pink!

My little girl  has her first show choir performance this weekend in which she will be wearing a beautiful (short and almost prom like) navy blue dress with a sweetheart top and sequins all over (mom in panic mode over here watching her look so grown up. She will be dancing and singing a short solo. I can't wait to see her! It will be so cute!

That is it for me today.. Hopefully I will not let another week go past without commenting or posting ://

BIG HUGS And LOTS OF LOVE!

Knit me something WARM!

Good Morning!
I am here with a super fast post. Lots to do today!!!
I have a card to share with you that I made a while back for my sister, but I think I forgot to post and share it!

This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs Knit and Purl Girl Rubber Stamp. I know with all of the yarn my sister and mom has, they could actually form a ball like this :D and my mom is crafty enough, she could totally make huge knitting needles :D HAHAHA!!!

I love the color teal, so this card was a lot of fun for me to make. I even used a sharpie marker for the ball of yarn! (gasp!) I know... sounds odd.. but that is what I started off with.. and they work really well and have lots of beautiful colors.

If you get a moment, please stop by the Freshly Brewed Challenges blog. We have LOTS of fun going on over there. We have a new challenge for the week (Brrr Cold / Winter theme) ((Just realized my DT card might be a  little overreaching. I guess I think of bulky yarn and sweaters and scarves... so it just went that way for me)) We also have announced our NEW design team for The Crafters Cafe and Facebook! AND we have a page FILLED with AWESOME and FUN Tutorials just for you!

Hope to see you there :D

BIG HUGS!!!

Candy Cane Christmas (and lots of jabber)

Hello!!!
I am back! WOOHOO!!!
Two posts in one day - man, I am on a roll!!!
HAHAHA!!

I have a card to share with you today that I made for one of my sisters knitting friends.
Long story short, my sister was in a secret sister sort of swap (not sure what they are called in the knitting community, lol! They have so many fun themed ones too!) ANYWAY - somehow my sis and her friend ended up having each others names without knowing... so when Becky got hers, she was even more excited to send her partner her package. I created this card and gift tag set for her Christmas / peppermint theme.

Knit and Purl Girl Rubber Stamp
(on sale for a limited time)

I really had fun creating this card ... and the lady who got it {Penny} said she loved it too.
I know that this card was one of the 'little' things in that amazing package (Becky knit her some really cute stuff!!! I don't know how they can do it!!!) but her compliments on it sure did make me smile.

OK, now on to the news I keep telling you about.
It is not a BIG Deal but is fun / happy news for me

I know I told you before (and it is in my sidebar) that one of my cards was featured in the UK magazine Papercraft Inspirations. Well, I subscribed to the mag to get that edition, but never did. I was one month too late and none of my local shops have carried it. Every time I got their mag in, as lovely as it is, it was somewhat a bittersweet moment to open it and not find the one my card was published in. :(
I got one in for Dec so when this one came in just Monday, I thought maybe just maybe.. but no. It was a special Christmas edition one. I flipped through it, grabbed some Caution Contents are Hot images, markers and my scissors and headed out the door to take Han to dance (and I was going to use the 2 hours I had to get something productive done for once!) Well, I got alot done there... 6 girls colored, cut and ready to go, 15 tags stickled, dried, tied and sold! (hehe) After a little bit of chit chatting with some friends, I was showing my friend  Mandy some of the cards in the magazine. We were looking at the penguins on one page when I happened to glance over to the next page... one I had already seen several times... and overlooked somehow. I took a double take and then smiled and said excitedly "Hey! That's my card!" HAHAHA!!!
(yes, that is me today, just now.. I took it just for you :D hehehe)
(my son wanted in on the action)

I had entered one of their challenges in Sept to use Vellum... and honestly forgot about it after time had gone by. I am so excited....

and then in flipping more I came across my friend Shirleys blog / card feature! (CONGRATULATIONS SHIRLEY!!!)  This magazine will be framed in my craft room for sure! LOL!!! (not really)

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you. I don't like to toot my own horn, but really was so happy to see my card there :D

LOTS of hugs and thanks for stopping by today!

That is what we are doing this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges!
We want to see your beautiful and simple cards.
I know I like to keep a stash of cards that have fewer layers and less embellies to mail out if I need one.
However, I admit, this card WAS hard for me to make :D
I love my layers and popped images and dimension.

Knit and Purl Girl Rubber Stamp

I created this card using Making Memories dot paper, Papertrey inc black and white  card stock, American Craft button, Pima flower, Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacy Circles, prismacolor markers, white grosgrain ribbon from clear dollar stamps and a newly released Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp: Knit and Purl Girl.
