Who want's a Christmas Latte?

I Do! I Do!!!

But my Christmas latte would probably just be regular or bold coffee
with a bit of cream. I am not a big sugary, mostly milk coffee drinker.
Bring on the bold baby!!!
I do, from time to time, enjoy a cup of flavored coffee.
My favorite (that I haven't had in years) is
It is realllllly yummmmmmmy!!!

This weeks Freshly Brewed Challenge is called
We want you to create a card featuring your favorite
caffeinated beverage... or decaffeinated. Whatever you prefer :)
Doesn't have to be a latte or coffee. Tea and hot cocoa are welcome too :)

I used the FBD Digital Stamp:

I used papers from the American Crafts Hot Cocoa stack.
I also added glossy accents to the cup to make it more realistic.
The fan folded paper and candy cane striped twine are one of my favorite parts :)

Hope to see you play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges.

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

We want to see your cards featuring SPIDERS this week.

My card uses the following
Fresh Brewed Designs

I had a lot of fun creating this card.
I used a new Darcie embossing folder. Don't you just love those creepy eyes?!?
Reminds me of the old Scooby Doo cartoon intro. LOL!
I hand painted them with glow in the dark paint to make them extra spooky.
I know the photo is terrible, but whatcha gonna do?
I took it in a super dark room...

OOOOoooooOOOOHhhh! Creepy!!!

Anyways -

I fussy cut all three images and placed them on the card using foam dots.

Freshly Brewed Challenge - Fall is... #PSL

Happy HUMP Day!
It's NEW CHALLENGE TIME at Freshly Brewed Challenges!
 Wooop wooop!
I am still on a little bit of a caffeine rush carried over from
yesterdays NATIONAL COFFEE DAY party.
I had one cup too many ... wait... is that even possible?!?

ANYWAY...
Our NEW challenge this week is

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Anything that celebrates outdoors.
Animals, trees, outdoor scenes, etc.

Rubber Stamp: SHE LOVES LATTES
Digital Stamp: PUMPKIN LATTE

I have not yet gotten a PSL... but have a few obsessed friends who have.
I LOVE sweet coffee treats every once in a while, but I usually only drink
Hot, VERY STRONG, BOLD, Coffee with some creamer in it. (unflavored)
mmmmmm... goodness.

I do want to try the Toasted Graham Latte, the Salted Caramel Mocha,
and the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.

YUMMMMMMMY!!!

I used a lot of RAKed and scrap papers for this card.
The little velvet strip is actually a Martha Stewart Fun Flock sheet.
They weren't really that great to use the way they were intended, but
they make a fun, fuzzy card embellishment. :)
The little felt latte cup was hand cut and sewn by little ol me.
I had fun recreating my PSL out of felt pieces :)

Hope to see you play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges this week!

Have a happy and blessed day!

Hot Stuff - Freshly Brewed Challenge

It's time for another FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE!

This week is a super fun one (for me anyway... ;)
The theme is FRESH BREWED!!!
(use any coffee or tea theme on your project)

I chose to work with one of our NEWEST digital stamps:

Sentiment from the FBD rubber stamp set SHE LOVES LATTES

This card was COMPLETELY created using SCRAPS!!!
YAAASSSS!!! *as my daughter says*
AND I used colors I don't normally go to (meaning there isn't
any pink or really girly colors in there .... I mean... SHOCKER for realz)

This little latte loving cupcake makes me happy. I hate to think what would happen
if we met IRL though. I don't think it would be pretty considering how much I LOVE
coffee and cupcakes ... especially together. MMMMM ;) (sorry Lil Sweetie- don't be scared...)

If you like this digi, be sure to stop by and check out ALL of the NEW Fresh Brewed Digis
>>HERE<< at our NEW DIGI RELEASE POST. (you also have a chance to win one!!!)

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you have a creative, caffeine filled, SWEETER than sweet kind of day!

Challenges:
Craft Hoarders Anonymous: Green - hoarded item... PAPERS (duh)
Love to Scrap: Dots or Stripes

I think I need an extra cuppa joe!

Everyone (but me so far) has been sick.
My whole house.
The flu one dr said.
They have SOMETHING.
Not really fevers as much as an irritating cough and runny nose -
and being up all night long.
I am tired... but blessed and happy to be here taking care of them.
(still crossing my fingers that I don't catch it though)
(is that mean?)
I did think I was getting sick earlier this week. Thankfully it was just a migraine.
Thankfully...

ANYWAY -
Another fun thing is that my computer is acting wackado!
I have tried to log on a few  mornings and NOTHING.
Windows wont load. I had a friend lovingly inform me that Kaspersky
was acting a little 'persky' and messed up her computer.
She let me know to NEVER get it. The new version wasn't working well with the version of Windows she had or something like that.  Well, I had already installed
it a week or two prior to her email. I told my husband and hoped for the best.
A few months later... and here we go. I am not sure if Kaspersky is the 'K'ulpret,
but that's all I have to go on right now... sigh... been backing up files and saving things
'computer willing'.

Another thing that happened was that I was unalbe to get my Fussy and Fancy card
to my sweet friend Sheryl in time to have her add it to their post today.
I did have it made earlier this week! PROMISE! Just my comptuer and sick
people had me all flustered and limited ... so please forgive me for that. The FnF team
has created some AMAZING projects for their current challenge RIBBON and SNOWFLAKES
Check it out and play along HERE

Here is a card I created for their challenge -
which also works for our FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES

Images used:
FBD Rubber Stamp: DECORATE IT GIRL
FBD Digital Stamp: MY CHRISTMAS TREE

I used some brads that I have had stashed for YEARS as well as a MFT Grass die cut
to create the snowy feel. I used American Craft papers from the Craft Fair set.
The sheet music paper was from my scrap pile.
I stamped the image to overlap the tree, then fussy cut and layered them
together to create this soft and fun little home for Christmas scene.

Next up is another card featuring the same digi:
I paired it this time with one of everyone's favorite FBD Rubber Stamps:

Pretty sassy, right?
I used the current Splitcoast Stampers sketch for this card.
The I love you dp is from paper studio, the snowflakes are from the
pebbles home for christmas stack and the green dots are from my stash.
I colored the ornaments with stickles. I added some heart shaped ribbon
to the tree. I think it makes the perfect garland for this, don't you?

All images were colored using prismacolor and copic markers.

Thank you for stopping by today!
I do have one more bit of news before you go!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop + Blog Candy!!!

Forgive me, yesterdays post was thrown together. My son has the flu as I mentioned,
and I was running back and forth between writing the post and checking on him.
I didn't even come back to edit or fix anything. Please forgive me.

While he napped, I sat by him and put this little card together for the

I was invited by a few friends, but my first invite was from my dear friend
and former FBD DT Member, Vanessa @ Vanessa's Paper Creations.

Thank you Vanessa for the invite and Amy for hosting!
What fun!!!

Here is a bit of info about the hop:
Create a hot beverage theme card or project and link it up on Amy's blog:  HERE.
The linky will remain open through Friday, December 12th @ 11:55 pm pacific.

I decided to make what I felt was a true coffee lovers creation.
Who wouldn't love relaxing in a coffee shaped tub, sipping on fresh brewed coffee,
and having some aroma therapy coffee beans by their side! lol!!!

I found all of these fun embellishments and papers in a kit
by the Girls Paperie at Tuesday Morning.
They are probably old... and I have hoarded them a LONG time... but
thought I would use them in honor of this wonderful event :-)

Stickles, sequins, and a super sparkly ice blue button make this card shimmer and shine!
The paper embellis were such fun to layer. I had to add the clock in honor of my own
blog name: Heather's Coffee Break. And the lace adds the touch of softness.

I sure hope my son gets over this flu thing fast and that no one else catches it.
Go ahead and know this will be me next week.. minus the coffee shaped tub... lol!

Thank you for stopping by.

As promised yesterday,
I DO HAVE BLOG CANDY - (USA only)

Just a regular ol blog post kind of day...

**forgive me for getting this post up so late. I spent the morning
with my little man at the pediatricians office. He has the flu :(

I have a few projects to share with you...
and I am putting them all into one post because I am taking care of a sick little fellow
as well as trying to keep my little miss happy... sooo here we go!

My first project is for the new challenge at

I always look forward to sharing these projects. It is so encouraging for me to
visit the blog, read the devotion, see my wonderful co-DT members projects
and to think about all of the wonderful things our Lord does for us every day.
We need Him - and we need each other. That is part of His plan for us.
To love one another, fellowship, be kind to and pray for one another...
I am so blessed to know that I have so many friends here who I can trust and count on
to be that for me and I thank God for you all every single day.

This weeks scripture is at WAW and is FREE!
Save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer,
but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.
  We welcome you share your art with us;
remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly,
and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment.

NEXT UP IS A PROJECT I CREATED FOR THE

The lighting for this card is terrible :( I will admit that right off.
It was taken when it was very overcast and drizzly all day.
So this is as good as it gets folks!

My daughter's ballet teacher LOVES coffee.
Possibly as much as I do *wink*
This image was drawn with her in mind. I created this card as part of
a set I am going to be giving her for Christmas.

If you are interested in this image, you can find it in my shop here:

Speaking of CHRISTMAS. This card is also for our month long challenge

Here is a close up of a little bit of the sparkle.
I do not have an icicle die, so I used my freshly cut grass diecut.
I layered the cut cardstock and vellum to give it a more icy feel ;)
The snowflake and fourish were cut using my Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge.
The background was embossed with a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.

I also designed a cute little coffee mug for her teacher:
Hope she likes it ;)

I DO HAVE BLOG CANDY - (USA only)
