Freshly Brewed Challenge: GIRLFRIENDS

Good Morning!

I am so happy to be stopping in today to share a fun card I created

for the NEW Freshly Brewed Challenge this week. 

This week's challenge is all about GIRLFRIENDS. 

AND we have a NEW DIGI released as well!

I unfortunately did not have time to create with this image yet. My printer is still out of ink :( 

But you can see a few lovely DT projects on our CHALLENGE BLOG if you want :) 

I did have time to make a card with an image I printed a while back and never used though!

YAY!!!

Freshly Brewed Challenges _ CUTE!!!

It's time for a NEW Freshly Brewed Challenge!

Woop Woop! 

This week we want to see ALL THINGS CUTE!

Bring on the adorableness - we are ready! 

I chose to create with this little bundle of cuteness....

CUTIE BUG FLOATS DIGITAL STAMP

OK... soooooo doesn't this just make you smile?!?

We have had SO MUCH RAIN! 

I mean, I think the saying APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS

was written just for this very moment in time. 

We are most certainly going to have an abundance of flowers come May ;)

I kept this bright, fresh, and fun! 

All of these papers were found in my scrap pile. Even the teal blue.

I know that the purple is PTI and the textured teal is by American Craft.

The multi colored dot paper is also by AC, but I am not sure of the name. 

Scrap pile.... you know how that is. 

One last peek. The colored water is very sparkly IRL. 

I used some regular ol glue, painted it on and sprinkled on some

Martha Stewart loose crystal microfine glitter.

Lucky Bug!

It's time for another FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE!

This week we have a COLOR COMBO challenge for you

GREEN + WHITE + COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE

My kids still aren't feeling 100% ...

neither am I for that matter but moms don't count ;)

We just keep doing what we have to do... then crash later. 

lol!!! All that being said, when I have down time, I like to sketch. 

We just had our DIGI RELEASE yesterday, but I realized that I 

didn't have a new March digi that went along with St Patrick's Day. 

WHAT?!? 

We had to change that ;)

Welcome to the FBD Family:

LUCKY BUG CUTIE BUG (sentiment included)

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at SplitcoastStampers (SC530) 

and the SplitcoastStampers Ways to Use it Challenge (WT520 - GREEN) 

The little clovers were actually 5 petal mini flowers. I cut out one of the petals

and formed little 4 leaf clovers :)

A dab of green stickles here and there for the extra sweet sparkle, 

and voila!

CUTIE BUG IS SAD

You cant tell it in these photos, but each layer of this card is lifted

with pop dots to give it more definition and that extra umph since it is so simple.

I LOVE the colors for this challenge!!! They are so bright and fun!

Here is a close up of my cutie bug. He was painted with some shimmer spray to make

him all glittery and lovely ... hopefully that will lift his spirits. :)

I had a lot of fun making all of these cards, but this one just makes me
smile most. I fell in love with this paper pad when I saw it at Tuesday Morning (yes, I
have used it a lot this week) but knew that I couldn't afford to get it with all we
have going on right now. I was later surprised by my husband who apparently saw me
put it down. He went back to get it for me later. :-)

prismacolor markers, crystal stickles, white gel pen.

**I forgot to get a photo of the layering, but this watermelon slice was printed, colored, 

cut and popped up with foam dots three times.

GP white cardstock, prismacolor and copic markers, twine, handmade felt flower, 

tropical tangerine stickles

It is (almost) officially Summertime!

School is out and kids are playing and having a well deserved break. 

I imagine they are all out at parks, beaches, pools, etc. having a blast! 

In honor of summer, I created a FUN little card featuring one of our newest 

digi release stamps:

CUTIE BUG With SNORKEL

I was up early this morning sending my husband off to work and decided to check and see what

new challenges were posted at Splitcoast stampers. I saw a new (to me) challenge called "Ways To Use It" and thought I would check it out. Their challenge is to use SAND. I remembered that my hubby and son went fishing the other day and there was still some sand on the deck from their sand buckets... soooo 

BAM! 

The idea hit, I grabbed this image and got to work. 

To finish it off I used one of the AWESOME sketches from 

SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH. She is amazing! 

I am always awestruck by her work AND her sketches NEVER fail to inspire me. 

Materials: Prismacolor markers, waterfall stickles, PTI white, kraft, and teal CS,

MFT Waves diecut, glittered sentiment PP from stash,

A NEW Challenge + A NEW Digi Release = FUN FUN FUN!!!

I hope you are all having a happy and blessed week so far.

I have so many things to be thankful for, I can't even begin to list them all!

I will start by letting you know that today is my dear and sweet friend  Sheryl's birthday.

She is such a blessing in my life and I am so glad that God brought us together. 

She is not only a wonderful and caring friend, but she is also an amazing 

card designer. She helps me out so much and is such an encouragement. 

Sheryl, I hope you have a very beautiful and happy birthday! 

In honor of her special day,

I chose to create with our NEW Digi: CUTIE BUG GIFT 

I used the splitcoast stampers Wednesday sketch for this card

This card was created using papers from my huge scrap box. I have had them

FOREVER and have no idea what line they came from. The twine and textured fabric 

are also from a huge messy box of ribbon madness. 

The red felt is actually a flocking transfer sheet by Martha Stewart. 

Other materials: Spellbinders die: Scalloped circles,  pearlex powders, prismacolor markers, 

white gel pen, and a SU sentiment stamp.

The next card I have to share with you is for our NEW June challenge at FBC. 

The challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to create a NEW project using

the colors RED WHITE AND BLUE

My card features the Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Stamp:

Materials: SCRAP PAPERS (blue cs is by bazzil I think)

Darcie embossing folder: clouds

Prismacolor markers, copic markers,  and a white gel pen

I added a sentiment to the inside of the card using a printed sentiment 

and cut it out with a PTI Cloud diecut

Good Morning!

I hope you have all had a wonderful, fun filled weekend. 

We spent some time at the water park with my family and had a lot of 

laughs and fun. It was really nice to de-stress and not worry about anything for a few days. 

I am so excited!
