For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

SS Friday

This card is for the challenge at Stamp Something: to use pink, green and yellow. I made this card with a RAKed image from my dear friend Norma. These Elzybells are so cute and you know I love anything to do with coffee. My husband took me to Michael's over the weekend and 'made' me get a small set of prismcolor markers with my 50% coupon. I have been looking and contemplating this purchase for months. I still think it is a lot of $$ for markers. I hope it was not a bad decision. Only time will tell. So far I really like them! This card was colored entirely with them aside from my skin copics. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. i am off to get the kids to bed. :) Good night.

BUTTONS!

This weeks challenge at the pink elephant was to use buttons. Something I am not so great at / had little practice with. I did have fun and this image I found in myRAK box inspired me. This card just came together as I sat waiting for my husband to get home from work. He was supposed to be in at 9 but did not get home until around 2. not unusual, but I was worried about him ((especially in his line of work .. if he is home that late it could not be good. )) Well, While I waited I crafted. I made 2 cards :) YAY! I will put the other in another post to save confusion. I am thinking this pup is an elzybells stamp because it was in a stack with others, but I may be wrong. I colored it with my BIC markers and used american craft paper. The buttons are from a jar my mom had collected over the years. A little glitter glue and this card was done :) and I think it is cute:). I made it for my friend who just finished up her finals ((but is now sick:( )) I thought this might make her smile a little. I am so proud of her, she has worked so hard all the while doing ALL she can for her kids and family. She is a strong and amazing woman. I love ya Jessica ((if you see this :) )). Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

2 in 1

this card is for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge as well as the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. I loved the sketch and thought this would make an adorable spring card ... AND I got to ink my Elzybells Egg Costume stamp for the first time!!! YAY!!! I bought this well before Christmas and have been so egg~cited to use it :o). I used bazzil cs as the base, american crafts ds cardstock for the patterned paper as well as the cuttle bugged paper. I colored this sweet image with my bic markers, added fun flock to the purple part of the egg, stickles, and voila! I really like this card because of the image. I was drawn to it because my mom had a shirt she wore while pregnant with me that had a chic hatching out of an egg ((what the shirt said escapes me)), i was born on Easter, and I had a shirt made for myself when I was pregnant with Han that was similar to my moms and to this image. Hope you are having a good week. I can not believe tomorrow is Friday!!! I am relieved though and ready for the weekend!
