I used the sketch #508 over at Splitcoast Stampers for this card. 

I thought it was really cute and fun!

I found some really cute plastic snowflakes at our local hobby lobby. 

I am not sure what they were intended to be used for. Confetti maybe?

I think they were in the children's craft area.  Since they are plastic, they capture

the light and give off a little reflective shimmer.  They're pretty cute, right?

This image was colored using prismacolor markers and sharpie markers.

a SWEET DOTS CUPCAKE .. JUST for you!!!

I chose to make this SPOOKY Sweet card using this image. I added little black dots to the circles and a googly eye to the big dot on top. It may be almost too spooky to eat... almost. :)

This card was created using papertrey inc white and black cardstock, papertrey inc black dot paper, bo bunny boo crew dot paper, twine from a friend, prismacolor markers, and clear dollar stamps grosgrain ribbon

This card was created using some paper I got WAY back when I first started cardmaking and have been hoarding it. I am so glad I Remembered I had it!!! 

I also added lace trim from my stash, ribbon from the scrapbook cottage, papertrey inc cardstock, pink stickles, and lots of blingy rhinestones.

Mocha Manic Monday ~ August

Good Morning!

I hope your Monday has stared off nicely. If not, 

I hope this makes it a little bit better. 

Today is a special day at  Fresh Brewed Designs. The first Monday of every month is Mocha Manic Monday! that means that TODAY ONLY you can snag up your very own Fresh Brewed Designs freebie!

 I used the MMM image and the image found in the

inspirational section of the shop: God's Way. 

 

My card is quite simple, but makes a big statement. I loved pairing her with that scripture verse. It is a reminder to so many of us that if our path seems long and hard or we feel like giving up, just listen to God's still small (or sometimes booming to get our attention... I know I am hard headed at times) voice and just know that He IS God and he has a plan for us and he is guiding us... as long as we allow him to. Trust in him and have faith with every step and with every breath. His way is perfect.

Summer Summer Summertime

What do kids like best in the summer? Well Ice cream of course!!! I know my kids do! (WEll, Hannah is getting used to the Soy kind ... some taste like cardboard, but we are not giving up)

I created a few seasonal coloring pages for my kids and thought you could use one for your kids on a rainy summer day to give them something to do. My kids actually sat for almost an hour coloring this morning :D EEeee! :) lol!

Hannah Belle Valentine

Hi again! What a fun weekend it has been for me! Lots of smiles and creating and spending time with my family. The kids and I have been a little sick, so we have been home all week. We have chilled out, played wii fit, crafted, got irritated with one another. It has been a wonderful week. ((even if we were sick, lol)). God is so good!!!

I have another Fresh Brewed Designs image to share with you today. This card was created using my Hannah Belle Valentine. These images are near and dear to my heart because they are inspired by my own beautiful Hannah Belle. We called her that when she was a baby, or just plain Belle (not like Belle on Beauty and the Beast, more Italian, lol! ) Such a fun memory. These image are all about her big cheeks and sweet smile. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Anyway ~ I will stop drifting down memory lane and get on to the card.

I used RAKed papers from my friend Carol. The others are from my scrap pile. She is colored with prismacolor markers, copics and bics. I added stickles to the valentine's in her arms for a little extra sparkle. The ribbon is by American Crafts (my dots). Good Morning. I am so happy to be able to start 2010 with you all!! Now lets have some fun!!! I have released around 15 images to my Fresh Brewed Designs shop last night and can not wait to share them with you. They can all be used for Valentine's Day or whatever your HEART desires. :o). I am sharing with you a card I made using the image Lovey Bugs. This image is one of the more versatile ones in the bunch. I used the sketch provided at 2S4Y to create this card.

Good morning!!! Today, many of us are participating in the Operation Write Home Veteran's Day Blog Hop. If you arrived from Heather's blog, then you are in the right place. If you arrived here first, you will want to hop on over to the beginning of this heartfelt hop to honor our nation's heroes at the OWHS Homefront Blog.

I have a few cards to share with you today. First I created 2 Any hero cards. I was not sure what an any Hero card was exactly so I asked my friend Carolyn what I needed to create for it. She told me that an Any Hero card are cards meant for soldiers who are about to go out on a mission...soldiers who receive very little mail from home...and for soldiers who need a boost. I hope that these cards are able to do just that. I had my children draw some pictures and little letters to add to the cards. They were not prompted and I was actually surprised by what my daughter designed. She drew snowmen because that is my last images I have made, so she was stuck on that theme. Tommy Ray drew pumpkins? He said "it is special and I wanted to remind them of Fall and i love them and Jesus loves them too". Hannah said she would tell the service men and women "Jesus loves you and he will guide you through all of your trouble. He will protect you. And thank you for fighting for our country for us. We will pray for you. " I could not have said it better. I will have them write this out and add to their letters to add to the Any Hero cards. I have a feeling I will be creating a lot more of these cards to be sending to our service men and women. It is a small token of my appreciation and love I have for them. **my scanner is not working so i will try to add the kids pictures to this post later. Sorry**

The next cards I have to share with you are Valentine's Day cards. These cards are for our Heros to be able to have a card to send home to one of their loved ones. I am not much of a sucker for Valentine's Day ~ not sure why ~ but after this my views of it may have changed.

I may seem a little lost for words. It is because I have heard stories from my uncles, grandfathers and friends but I have not experienced anything like this in my personal life. I can not imagine the time put into training, working, preparing. The time away from their families, the sacrifices made by each and every one including the family left behind. I am overwhelmed with emotions and an forever greatful.

A Freebie for Friday (edited)

I know Friday is almost over and everyone is planning their weekends. I do hope you all have a wonderful one!!! We plan to chill and do much of nothing. We had a pretty busy week here. Good news~ my husbands Grandma had her surgery yesterday. She had cancer in her breast, as some of you know. They said they removed it all, Praise God!!! She is recovering well and we are going up to see her next week after she has had time to rest a little bit. Thank you for your prayers, keep them coming.
