I Love Lolita!

This is one of my favorite Busy Beauties Boutique images! I love all of the Lolita's, and this one is featuring COFFEE!!! For real! I mean, come on!!! Pshh! Gotta love it! She is so sweet. If I put all the coffee I drink a week into a cup, it would def have to be this large. I could almost swim in it. :D
Busy Beauties is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches this week. They have a super fun challenge featuring your favorite color combo and glitter! What could be more fun?!?! I do not have a favorite color combo. I am a lover of all colors :D so I just picked one. This one is obv. a blue and green combo with lots of glitter.

The sketch I used for this card is the current Eat Sleep Stamp sketch (which is changing tomorrow and I will be up first thing to check it out! I love the sketches there and always have fun creating with them).

Be sure to stop by the Busy Beauties Creation Station tomorrow for info on the blog hop. The Beauties have a FUN hop prepared for you full of FRESH FUNKY FANSASTIC digis. They have an awesome group of gals joining in as guests this go round. I am TRYING not to give too much away, just know you do not want to miss this one!!!

Have a great night. We visited the beach today so I thought I would share just a few photos with you. Hope you like them :D

love you

Good Morning!
If you are searching for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday post, please scroll down to the next.
Today I am sharing (another) Busy Beauties card with you!
This card is for the current blog challenge that Busy Beauties Boutique is sponsoring at Penny's. Paper Crafty Challenge Blog
The challenge?
To create a shaped card.
I had so much fun playing along with this challenge. I was stumped at first, but as I started creating it all just fell together. My husband was playing the guitar the
other night while I was creating this card. I first hand drew and cut the shapes,
added light blue chalk to shade and give dimension, then I added 'holes'
as my guide for my hand stitching.
It took me literally FOREVER to stitch this up!
Not sure if it was because it was so late (around 1 am) or what the reason. I had fun doing it though and could not stop until It was complete. I looked over at my poor hubby,
guitar in hand, papers strewn all around him and a half cup of coffee by his knee ...
with his eyes closed sitting there getting ready to fall asleep.
I had to stop with the stitching and put the card together the next day.

I added pearl x powder to the clouds to give them a pretty shimmer. It is hard to see in the photos. I used the Busy Beauties image Lovestruck Beauty. She is colored with prismacolor markers. The sentiment is a $ stamp from the Valentine 'bucket' at Michael's craft store.

Happiness: I ordered some papers from PaperTray Inc for my birthday (thanks for the tip Tracy!) and my lovely friend Stacy gave me a GC to a shop where I loaded up on several colors of gorgeous grosgrain ribbon!.. and I will have them both today!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!

I hope you have been inspired to create a shaped card. Hop on over to Penny's and check out the gorgeous creations the DT has to share with you!

other challenges: Fab n Funky: No Patterned Paper
Spoon Full of Sugar 3D
The Pink Elephant Aqua
Papertake Do something different
Stamp Scrap Doodle:Girlie

NEWS!!!!
The Fresh Brewed Blog is ALMOST ready!
We have our first challenge and hop planned for you on May5th.
The about the DT post is up!

It's a Beautiful and Sweet Day

Good Morning everyone! Can you believe another week has passed?!?! I can't! Sweet Sketch Wednesday has ANOTHER beauty of a sketch for you to play along with. It is my second week as a designer here, and I get to work with my dear and ever so sweet friend / sister in Christ Carolyn's images. Yes, Busy Beauties Boutique is sponsoring us and is giving one lucky winner a prize of their choice of 3 images! That is going to be one hard choice to make! The images are all so fun, sweet and versatile!

For my card I chose to use one of the newly released images called Spring Flowers. Don't you just LOVE it?!?! I had so much fun coloring this image. I did not have the papers I wanted to use, so I created my own BG paper. I think my eyes started wiggling on me and I started getting dizzy looking at the lines, lol! But it was fun to do and really added what I wanted to the card.

I do hope you will get to play along with us this week. Can't wait to see what you create!

Have a very Sweet day!

I need a VACATION!

The current challenge at the Busy Beauties Creation Station is....Go Green with a Twist. In celebration of Earth Day, we challenge you to create a card or project using a recycled item or something that was headed for the trash bin. This could be buttons from old clothing...an empty jelly jar...broken jewelry...ribbon scraps...fabric remnants...bits of scrap paper (and if you are a paper crafter, you know you have some of these lying around;o)...the possibilities are endless!

You have until Wednesday, 11:59 PM EDT, May 5th to
Go Green with a Twist:o)

I created my card with the new image Beach Towel Beauty.
Isn't she just GORGEOUS!!!
I dont know about you, but I am ready for summer break.
The smell of sun screen and a school break ... sigh ... can't wait!
My dad was throwing away this scrap piece of sand paper. I snagged it and decided to reuse it on my Go Green card. I think this card just screams sand and sun, don't you?

Hope you get to play along with us at Busy Beauties!

Have a wonderful FRIDAY!!!!

Welcoming Spring with a TWIST AND SHOUT

We have a new "Spring" in our steps today and
new BUSY BEAUTIES BOUTIQUE images in our hands,
and we are so delighted to have you along for the hop!
If you are just starting out in the hop, please head back to Carolyn's Blog so you do not miss anything. If you are arriving here from Rachels blog, then you are right on track!
Today I am using the new image Eat Cake! Isn't this cake super yummy?!?!
I loved cutting and layering this beauty. It was so much fun to create with and work with!
A Tuti Fruity 3 layer cake with bows and strawberries!
I mean, COME ON! It's ridiculous!
(in the words of one of those silly Disney channel gals) Could not PASS that up! ;)
My daughter loves strawberries. I decided to start a small garden (35 plants + if they all live). She is excited. Several are on their second bloom and are forming berries already.

My blog title states that we are welcoming SPRING with a TWIST AND A SHOUT! Wonna know what that is all about? Good! I am going to tell you :D!
(Sketch for card: 2S4Y Bonus)
The Twist: Busy Beauties Creations Station is hosting a GO GREEN WITH A TWIST CHALLENGE. So be sure to head over and see what that is all about! So much fun! (I will have a card to share with you tomorrow with a new image that was released today) It really is a fun challenge and a wonderful way to honor Earth Day.
The SHOUT: Busy Beauties is having a RELEASE PARTY over at Paper Craft Planet on Saturday at 8 PM. I will be at a dance competition with my daughter, but the last one was a BLAST!!!! You do not want to miss out on the chatting and fun!

Your next hop stop is the ever so sweet, talented and beautiful Barbara.

It's Ok to let those Sillies Out

What is more fun about being a kid than being silly ... and it being ok?!?! I need to remember that more often instead of expecting my kids to be on their best behavior at all times. Being silly is a good thing! :) and my kids love to be silly and giggle and flip and flop :)

This card is featuring the Busy Beauties Boutique's new image The Tweedles. Aren't they just DARLING! They are from the new Alice in Wonderland series just released this week. For more cards with these images you can see the post HERE and HERE. Also, this week is the start of the new blog: Busy Beauties Creation Station. Loads of fun, inspirational cards, tutorials and so much more planned. We have our first challenge going on now, so pop on over and check it out!

This card was created using the Friday Sketchers sketch, Stamp Something: Stitching, and the Busy Beauties Creation Station Alice in Wonderland themed challenge. I colored the image with my prismacolor markers and used scrap papers, ricrac and prima flowers.

Happy unBirthday!

To me? To you!
hahaha! I LOVED that song when I was a little girl!
If you are looking for the Busy Beauties Blog Hop that will lead you to the new Creations Station Blog, you need to go HERE! But first, check out this new card made with the just released Busy Beauty image, Alice.

Isn't she a DOLL!?!?! I chose to make my niece a Bday card with this image. It sortof favors her. She just turned 9. I hope she likes it. I colored Alice with my prismacolor markers. The papers are all so old I cant remember where I got them. The felt cupcake is a mix of 2. My sweet friend Christa sent them to me a long time ago and I hoard, remember?!?! :D I cut the bottom off of one, stitched them together and added the button with a ribbon cut leaf. I really think it turned out sweet. A tiny Alice and a Giant cupcake. I want one! :D MmmMMm.

Well, I am off to get ready for church and to feed my kiddos. Hope you all have a beautiful and blessed day!

So Kiss Me!!!

Anyone have one of those pins when you were younger that said "Kiss me I'm Irish"?? I did?? Where did I get it ????? Not so sure, lol. I also had one that had a frog holding a pink heart with the words "kiss me" on it (I think). Maybe I was obsessed with getting my first kiss? I was 15 if my memory serves me correctly. (I'm not counting the kindergarten kiss that a mean boy named Scott walked up and unexpectedly planted on me, lol!!!)

Anyway ~ these cards are for today because I don't want to get pinched and I wanted to tell you all Happy Saint Pactrick's Day! We will be doing our normal thing today, school and maybe a little fun. I remember when I was young the teachers would turn over all the desks, throw papers everywhere and you name it while we were on the playground. Then there would be a note and little chocolate coins from the leprechauns. It was such a fun memory. I hope I can do SOMETHING for the kids to make it memorable.
HOW do I continue to jump off subject?
Back to KISSING!

I colored up this Runway Beauty in green, made her hair a brownish orange and added the fun Kiss Me I'm Irish sentiment. I love this image, don't you???
I used the Bonus sketch over at 2 sketches 4 you for this card.

I chose to keep this card uber simple. I used this Cartwheeling Clover image and a sentiment from Clearly Wordsworth. This card will be entered into the Dare U 2 digi challenge: no patterned paper. The next is also super simple and is using the images ShamROCK, ShamROCK Groupie and ShamROCK sentiment.

I am entering all of these cards to the Digital Tuesday challenge: Green or St. Pactrick's day

Don't forget!!!
You still have time to enter the BUSY BEAUTIES GO GREEN Challenge!!!
There is a GORGEOUS prize package to be won!

Happy Everything

Good afternoon. I have a VERY quick post to share with you today. I LOVE this little image, don't you?? She is just adorable!!! and she is one of the To Be Released images to Busy Beauties Boutique on March 4th!!! Yep, next week you can have this little darling for your very own! I have another colored and ready for the hop, but HAD to go ahead and share this with you. Yesterday the BEAUTIFUL Carolyn gave me a ring and asked for help. Her printer was not working and she needed to make sure her images printed clearly. I was MORE THAN HAPPY to help, and *BONUS* I got to go ahead and use the images!!! WOOT!! Yay me! I colored her up with skin copics and brought back out my Sharpie markers. I think they color just beautifully, don't you? I started with Bics and Sharpies and still reach for my favorite colors even though I have the next step (or 2) up with the Prismacolor Markers.

I hope this cutie brings a smile to your face. Have a beautiful and happy weekend.

You're Cravable!!!

I LOVE this image!!! It is so cute and yummy all in one. One of my hubbys favorite (but rarely made) treats are crinkle cut fries. I did not get around to giving him a Valentine this year, so I think I will give him this one as an I love you card. He is such a wonderful husband and daddy. I am so blessed. We do not go even a few hours without talking to each other and telling each other "I love you". I think this card ... with a basket of fries... will be the perfect way to make him smile. Probably Saturday... yep, that sounds good. :o)

I used the Busy Beauties Boutique image
Like Fries and Ketchup
This is part of the we go together like set and
one of my FAVORITES!!!
(I'm telling you, I really crave them now! lol!)

Good morning everyone! I do hope you all survived your Monday. Mine was like a rollercoaster, lol. Well, it is groundhogs day today ... cloudy and rainy. No shadow for our 'hog' to see ... hmmm.. what does that mean :)??? Ugh! Tommy has to have the mole cut off of his back today ((a mole.. on groundhogs day...)) and I have to talk Hannah to dance, so he will be braving that alone. I cant stand to be cut on in any way... so please say a prayer for him. Also pray that the results come back saying it was nothing.

DON'T FORGET!!! I have a sketch challenge going on. IF you participate, you automatically get a FREE FBD BUG IMAGE of your choice. All the rules and details are HERE. More bugs for you to see are HERE. Hope to see you play along :o)

Smile!!!

Good Morning everyone!!! Today is the last day of the Busy Beauties Boutique blog hop! You can find all the details HERE
I have been hating this cold weather. There were people in northern states on the news last night saying they felt sorry for us .. a little... but they would love to see 30degree weather. I CAN NOT IMAGINE being below zero, I am not envious at all!! But I am still going to complain about my 30 degree stuff... ((it gets colder at night, lol. .. does that count?)) We are just not used to this here. UGH!!! Anywho, I thought what better way to break free from the dreary grey cold than with a bright fun card that screams blue skys and sunshine!!! At least we can pretend right?

This card is created using Sweet Rosey. I used all scrap paper and am not even sure what brand the flowers are. (I'm horrible, I need to keep up with these things more! sorry!!) I hope these colors and the sweet little Rosey remind you of those beautiful warm spring / summer days and give you a little break from the horrible cold we are having.

challenges: Cute Card Thursday: New (image), Belli Challenge: bling

I also wanted to share with you something my daughter made. My mom created the dolls body, my daughter stitched on the face. Then my mom taught her to use the sewing machine. Hannah sewed the entire dress and apron all by herself with minimal direction and guidance. I would have had my hands all in there trying to help and worried she would sew her fingers off, lol. My mom was so patient and just stood back gently talking and directing her. Why can't I be more like that in so many things? Here are a few photos to show her creation off. I just love it!!
((If Sweet Rosey does not warm you up, them maybe my beautiful little girls smile will! :o) ))

Have a beautiful day and God Bless!!!

Love

Tommy Ray (was sucking up so he could have a sleepover with my mom) wrote the sweetest thing to me today during school. He has been practicing his 'an' 'at' and 'ig' words, but also learning how to make sentences with them. He has mastered these types of sentences.

"The cat is fat. The man is big. The cat can dig. The pig has a wig." .. you get the idea. Well, I wrote some sentences out for him to fill in the blank. They went like this

1. Pappy can dig.

2. Daddy has a wig.

3. Hannah has a cat

4. Mommy is (blank)

5. Nangy has a pan.

for mine he said laughing "Fat" .. almost. He said it halfway, looked up at me, reached up and rubbed my cheek and said :"love, I want to write mommy is love." My kids are amazing. I do not deserve such blessings, let me tell you.

Well, I am getting back to why I came here in the first place :). As you may already know, we are in the middle of a Busy Beauties blog Hop! If you did NOT know had have NOT hopped, here is your chance!!! Go here to read all about it and start hopping for your chance to win!!!

I want to share with you the card I created using the Busy Beauties image Kissy Kissy . I just LOVE this image. Isn't it just so sweet?!?! I had so much fun creating with it. I got the papers last year at the target buck bin. I love them!!! They are almost gone (sigh). I used the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday for this card.

I am off to make myself another cup of coffee and chill before I start washing sheets, mopping and all that wonderful stuff. Have a beautiful and blessed day. Happy weekend!!! :o)

It's a BEAUTIFUL Mornin'

Welcome to the Busy Beauties Boutique Blog Hop!!!
If you came here from KELLY's blog and have already commented on her BEAUTIFUL work, then you are in the right place. IF not, go back a few steps and start with BARBARA. For those of you who are in the right place, then read on!!! :)

I am so excited to share some of these GORGEOUS images with you today. When I got the email with the January releases, I could not pick my jaw up off the floor. They are a mix of cute, fun and fab!!! Thomas and Carolyn really went all out this time!!! Notice I said "and Carolyn"?? Carolyn has been hiding behind her talent and has finally shared some of her very own art with us!!!

For this hop ~We will run the hop through the weekend, and winners will be selected on Sunday night, January 10th. ~There will be one grand prize winner of three digis of his/her choice and a winner from each blog to win an image of his/her choice. An added prize will be awarded to one person who leaves a comment on each blog...that person will be able to either choose five images from the store or join us in our February New Release Blog Hop; in which case, he/she will receive all the images for that particular release.

Now on to my cards. I created the first one using the 2S4Y sketch. I loved the sketch when I saw it and had several ideas for it. After I got my Runway Beauty all colored, I knew she would be perfect for it!!! I chose a brown and red scheme and added a funky ribbon that I hand stitched and added the felt and acrylic heart embellies. I really think this card is a mix of fun, sexy and pretty all in one. I am actually proud of this card. I am not good at working with ribbons, but I love how this turned out!

Runway Beauty

Challenges: 2S4Y, Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Crazy 4 Challenges: dots, Spoon Full of Sugar: hearts,
Belli Challenge: Glitter or Bling, Creative Card Crew: distressing

The next card is created featuring Cuppa Love. I think this image is just flat out adorable. I love all the marshmallows!!! Totally the cup of cocoa I would have. Don't skimp the marshmallows please!!! :) The sweet peppermint stick and fun design on the mug itself is just an added bonus. I really enjoyed creating with this image.

Challenges: Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts, Belli Challenge: Glitter or Bling

Now on to the last card I will be sharing with you today. This card was created using the image Hot Stuff! Don't you just LOVE it?!?! Lol!!! I kept this one clean and simple. I plan to give this one to my hubby for all the work he has put into doing the Wii fit and trying to be healthier. He started off with a Wii age of 54, then 44, and now he is 34. This is all within 2 weeks. I told him the other day he will be in his 20's in no time! ;) LOL! I have actually enjoyed it myself. The yoga and aerobics are fun, but I am NOT good at the balance games. I will take on anyone with the hula hoop!! I have got that one down baby! lol!!!

Challenges: Our Creative Corner: Clean and Simple,
Digital Tuesday: Valentines, Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts

Lastly I want to share with you a card my daughter created all by herself using A Fose from Rosey. I think it turned out so sweet! was a busy bee that day, I think she created 8 or so cards, lol! I am so proud of her and love to see her using her artistic talentes. Now to get her to stpo doodling all over her schoolwork ;)!!!

A Rose from Rosey

Now that I have bored you to pieces, I want you to leave me and head on to the every so SWEET and TALENTED and WONDERFUL STACY. She is sure to knock your socks off with her fabulous creations. ((and I just love her! :) ))

Have fun with the hop! I will see you back on Monday, January 11 with my winner!

It was an honor and pleasure to work with such a talented group of ladies and to create with Carolyn and Thomas' images. Thanks for letting me be a part of this with you.
