How do you like it?

I have been soooo busy with the kids and dance and things of that nature 

that I seemed to have forgotten to post my card last week :-(

This week I am late getting my card to the WAW team because I lost track 

of what day it was. I wasn't feeling well for a few days. 

Stress finally caught up to me? I'm not sure. But I was down for the count there for

a few days and literally thought yesterday was Monday.... but it wasn't as we all know.

All of that being said...

Challenge #169

Our challenge this week is all about LOVE!

Everything we do should be done in love. 

Christ loves us so much and we should do everything with Him in mind

and let everything we do be a reflection of our love for Him! 

*and sometimes that isn't easy folks!* 

There are days we just don't feel like being nice. 

Our buttons are pushed or we just have had a really icky bad day.

But God says in ALL THINGS!

We are human and our flesh gets in our way sometimes, but

thank goodness we have the Holy Spirit with us reminding us when we mess up and

telling us that we need to take a step back and think about what just happened. 

He is also there to help us. Sometimes we don't know what to say to those in need.

Sometimes we meet someone that is just rude and mean and we don't want to be nice

to them or even know HOW to. The Holy Spirit is there to guide us and encourage us and help us.

CHALLENGE : January 28th

I really had fun making this card. We had several dreary, rainy, gray days in a row

and really felt that we needed some happy, bright colors to look at. 

I found some old vine looking trim in my stash and used the little pink sequins

to resemble flower buds.

Love me do: My Minds Eye and the paper company (little hearts)

cardstock is also by the paper company

The image was colored with copics and prismacolor markers. 

The fire helmet and coat were colored using sharpie markers. 

The little hearts were colored then glittered up using a red glitter gel writer pen.  

I really had a lot of fun drawing this little guy then bringing him to life on this card.

It's Raining Love!

Good morning!

Yesterday was SO NICE! 

I was able to sit out on the deck for a while with the kids and sketch a bit. 

Here is a pic my little miss snapped of me sketching...

and as a result of my free time,

All Dressed Up...

.. with nowhere to go :D

HAHAHA! Now that is something I could really say :D I wonder what would happen if I put on one of my best dresses and greeted the kids at 'school' (aka the kitchen table)  all decked out :D It would be a great way to shock them, that's for sure!!!

This card was so much fun to make. I used one of the newly released Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamps (go here to check out our sale + bonuses to celebrate the release!) She is called: All Dressed Up.
I created this card using prismacolor markers, papertrey inc cardstock, a black spica copic pen, DCWV Lemon Flower (a gift from a sweet friend), and MME Garden Vignettes.

Sweet Heart

Good Morning my beautiful friends.
I have my coffee brewing and my fingers crossed that our day of school goes as smoothly as yesterdays :)
We were able to find a flag football team for my son to play on that seems to be a good one. It will be a bit of a drive, but is with a church and there seems to be no bullying allowed. I hope he enjoys it.

Today I have a few things to share with you. I am not sure about you all, but when I type too much all at once, my ring and index finger on my right hand starts to ache and actually twitch. I can't hardly stand it!!! it has been like that for a few days now. I feel it a little now, but not so much. I will try to be brief... but that is my problem I guess. I like to talk :D

First off, I want to share with you that Fresh Brewed Designs is sponsoring The City Crafter Challenge this week. The ladies there are so beautiful and so talented. Their challenge is a fun one!!! {{I heart you}}. To use hearts on your card. I actually had some Valentine themed epoxy hearts that went perfect with the papers I picked out. I  {{LOVE}} this paper!!! I got it from my sweet friend Carolyn for my birthday and will not {{LOVE}} it when I run out. She and I had just been talking about our paper stash and how we  vow to use and not hoard as much. I wanted to use this paper in a way you could SEE it and not hide it, and I think I did that. :)

I created this card with a NEWLY RELEASED RUBBER STAMP called Sweet As Pie. I love to paper piece her outfit and also love that she is very versatile. I tried to make the stamps where they were this time. Not too  many coffee themed ones :) but by golly they can be coffee themed if you want them to be :D hehehe!!! You KNOW I have to have coffee with my pie!!! ;)

Another thing I want to share with you is this amazing package(s) of goodies I got this past week from my DT and friends. I was literally so overwhelmed. I was NOT expecting this AT ALL and still don't know exactly what to say to express my thanks. The cards, goodies.. all of it was just wonderful and made me smile. What was the best feeling of all though was opening these boxes and literally feeling hugged. I have the best friends in the world and am just so completely blessed. I thank God for each of you every day!

Our new challenge at Freshly Brewed Challenges is to use White on White plus One more color. I chose white and  deep brown. I like the way they contrast. I would usually go with a softer pastel color, but really like how this turned out. I simply embossed the bg using a 5x7cuttlebug folder then punched out a few hearts, attached them to the twine and voila! Really simple fun card.

The papers I used for this card came from an ADORABLE And oh so sweet package that my dear friend Kelly sent to me. I was shocked to have gotten it. The beautiful Heidi Grace papers, embellies, stamps, ribbon, flowers... her sweet and oh so beautiful card! Thank you so much Kelly girl!!! ....I am really telling you, this month has been like Christmas for me. I am not sure what I did to receive all these RAKs and blessings, but I appreciate them so much... and love the ladies behind the gifts more than words could express. Kelly is such a wonderful friend to me, and so many others. She is my prayer buddy and the one who always leaves me smiling and feeling like I am ok, flaws and all. She reminds me that my flaws are Gods work in progress and that I am ever-changing and growing and most importantly HIS!

Remember that wonderful gift Tracey sent me? Those BEAUTIFUL romantic yummies from Making Memories? I created this card with one of the cards in the set. I added the lace and one of my images to the front, a prima flower, silver dew drop, prismacolor markers, white paint pen, and a white gel pen. It is SO HARD for me to use my gifty goodies. I want to hold and hoard and love them.... and never use them. I am so proud of myself that I used these goodies for my cards this week :D YAY!!!

Good morning, and welcome to the Facebook Design D.I.V.A.S "Oldies But Goodies" Blog Hop!!!

You should have arrived here from the ever so lovely and talented Maria ~ Joyful Stamper's Blog. If you didn't and arrived here first, then you will want to head on over to the start of the hop at Sue Morris' Beautiful (and just newly redesigned:) Blog. We will be hopping every third Wednesday of the month (so keep your eyes open for the next FB Design D.I.V.A.S hoppity hop). For January, we are celebrating the "oldies but goodies" that most (I think all) of us crafters have stashed away. I know that I do!!! Way too much in fact! All of the things I used for my project are ranging from 6 months to three years old. I buy things I love and then either do not know how to use them or hoard them afraid once I use it it will be gone, and that would just be tragic! lol! ;) I was happy to dig through my stash and find some neglected and passed over goodies.

I created this project using the sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch 100 and the theme at Stampin Sisters in Christ. If you have not read their post this week, you really need to. The verse for the challenge this week is this:
2 Cor.5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
It is a good reminder that we are all a work in progress. God is making us new every day; teaching us, guiding us, molding us and polishing away all the blemishes and scrapes that show up when we fall. He is always there to lift us up, dust us off, hug us, remind us of his love and give us all we need.

I am late posting this card due to my wanting to keep the Jesus is the Reason blog hop at the top of my blog.

Over at PCP we have a new Fresh Brewed Friday challenge going on. It is a BLING IT ON challenge :) and the first challenge of the month is a prize challenge. The prize this month is a $10 digital gift card to the shop!

Here is the card I created using Dr. Snowman and he can be found HERE in the shop.

I was inspired to create him for my grandmothers heart doctor. He has been taking such great care of her with all the troubles she has had this past year especially.
This card was also created using Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp's sketch. I just flipped and changed it up a bit :)

All papers are by Papertrey Inc. I LOVE their cardstock and the darling dot papers!!! The felt is hand cut as well as the dot heart. The plastic heart is by American Craft. The sentiment was printed from word and the Merry Christmas is from a Martha Stewart set of clear stamps.

On the Go!

I always take my reusable eco friendly travel mug with me wherever I go! So does this lovely latte lady. As a matter of fact, she is headed off on a short journey. She is taking a trip out of the Fresh Brewed Designs digi shop and will be back very soon just as lovely and sweet as ever. What is in the bag you ask? All the java she will need while she is away of course!


This card was created using American Craft double sided cardstock, scrap red lace, black felt and other scraps. I colored the latte lady (I'll Take Mine to Go!) with prismacolor markers. The doodle dots are created with a black marker by american craft and the white is a white gel pen.
