You're My Cup of Cocoa

Happy Wednesday!
I am so happy to be here sharing my little Christmas creation with you.
My kids are SO READY to get out the Christmas decorations.
I just haven't had the time :(
They have been practicing every weekend for the upcoming
Nutcracker performance at their dance studio and dancing
every day of the week for 4 - 5 hours on top of that. And add homeschooling...
cooking... cleaning....
We will do it soon though. Maybe the day after Thanksgiving. That is usually
our tradition. They just wanted to do it earlier.

Here is a sassy little Christmas card I created.
It is pretty simple and fun. I used some chunky glittery stuff
I found at hobby lobby. I think it was supposed to be confetti or something.
It looks like little diamonds. But isn't it gorgeous?!? You should see it IRL!
Blingin! LOL!!!

I used the Fresh Brewed Designs digital stamp:

HAPPY 2013!!!

Good morning!
It feels like FOREVER since my last post!
I gave my FBD DT December off. It was good to have a break but man, did it fly by fast?
I am SO VERY HAPPY to be back and able to post for our FIRST FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE of the year!
We have several NEW things going on this year, so be sure to head over to the challenge blog and READ the post to find out how things will be working this year. We are making things easier and hopefully more fun for everyone!

Our FIRST challenge is an ANYTHING GOES Challenge.
I Decided to use my personal favorite stamp:
She is hot and sassy and has her hot latte in hand.
What a way to start the new year, right? ;)

I had a lot of fun creating this card.
I must admit, it took me FOREVER to get it started.
I had the image already previously colored in my 'stack'. I picked out paper I was hoarding and ribbon I was hoarding and looked at it. And looked at it. And looked some more. My son wanted some batteries or something? so I went on a search... because even though everything HAS a home, it never ends up in its home. I found a baggie in the drawer with mini cupcake liners. I thought, those would be cute to fold, cut and make a ruffle. So the card got started and I was able to complete it and fall in love with it:) yay!!!

The next card was another I created using a previously colored image.
She is a Fresh Brewed Designs digital stamp called Valentine Sweetheart
I used all scrap papers, prismacolor and copic markers,
stickles  and a ruffly ribbon to create this quick, fun, and sassy card.

AND DON'T FORGET!
It is ALMOST TIME FOR OUR FIRST RUBBER STAMP RELEASE FOR 2013!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I hope you will hop on over to Freshly Brewed Challenges
and see what we have planned for YOU in 2013

Movie Night!!!

I don't know about you, but we are so busy during the week we always like to have a 'movie night' with the kids on the weekend. It happens sometimes on Friday night, and sometimes on Saturday night and is sometimes a short show, but we do it together with snacks and laughing and a little fighting between the kids :D but I love every second of it.

I created this card using the Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp: Candy Corn Girl.
I LOVE to use stamps for themes other than what they appear to be created for. She is easy to mask off with the bowl of candy corn, or to cover like I did. The spider in her hair is easily hidden by drawing over it to be a hair bow, placing a rhinestone or flower... and voila! She is ready to go! :D

Candy Corn Girl was colored with prismacolor markers. The pink paper was created by me :D
I used some dyes my mom gave me, splashed a few dots on the paper and swiped over it with a sponge. I then took two nestabilities dies and created this fun little frame for my sentiment. I used black and white twinery twine around the left side of the frame. The pop corn was created using puffy paint. Her shirt was an oops, but looks cute IRL. She was covered with fun flock, but it did not look as fuzzy and full as I wanted... so I added more and made a mess.. then I decided to add stickles over it. It made a crystalized looking sparkly shirt. Not sure what to call it. but It was NOT exactly what I wanted nor was it a total disaster :D

This card was created for the
Play Date Challenge: Black and White with a splash of Hot Pink
and for the Sketch at Eat Sleep Stamp

I hope you all have a super wonderful bright sunshiny Saturday
LOTS of HUGS and SMILES!

One Hot Valentine!

I know this image is not one you would typically use for a Valentine, but when I think of the word HOT she is one of the stamps I think of :D.  Her boots, tights and  her funky shirt just equal Hot and Sassy - don't you think? The inside says Valentine - I think you're HOT!!! {sortof punny with the hairdryer too :D HEHEHE!!!}

The ribbon, hand cut felt hearts and the brad are all  from my scrap pile / box. The image was colored using Prismacolor markers and pink stickles. The designer paper is Letterbox Truly Yours by American Crafts.

Yesterday was our Super fun and GROOVY blog hop! If you missed it go HERE to see them all.  and go HERE to find out more about our NEXT blog hop for our Rubbah stamp release :D

Knit me something WARM!

Good Morning!
I am here with a super fast post. Lots to do today!!!
I have a card to share with you that I made a while back for my sister, but I think I forgot to post and share it!

This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs Knit and Purl Girl Rubber Stamp. I know with all of the yarn my sister and mom has, they could actually form a ball like this :D and my mom is crafty enough, she could totally make huge knitting needles :D HAHAHA!!!

I love the color teal, so this card was a lot of fun for me to make. I even used a sharpie marker for the ball of yarn! (gasp!) I know... sounds odd.. but that is what I started off with.. and they work really well and have lots of beautiful colors.

If you get a moment, please stop by the Freshly Brewed Challenges blog. We have LOTS of fun going on over there. We have a new challenge for the week (Brrr Cold / Winter theme) ((Just realized my DT card might be a  little overreaching. I guess I think of bulky yarn and sweaters and scarves... so it just went that way for me)) We also have announced our NEW design team for The Crafters Cafe and Facebook! AND we have a page FILLED with AWESOME and FUN Tutorials just for you!

Hope to see you there :D

BIG HUGS!!!

Coffee ... Take Me Away!

HEHEHE!!
She says as she sips her cuppa and is singing in her head
I wanna be the only one
For miles and miles
xcept for maybe you
And your simple smile

Oh it sounds good to me
Yes it sounds so good to me

Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can
Into the wild blue

 HA!!
Well, I am back today to share a card I created for you using the new Freshly Brewed Challenge: Buttons and Bows. We are wanting to see as big or small, little or lot as you have on your creations. Easy right? Well, not for someone who is not so good at tying ribbon. This ribbon did not want me to play with it just so you know! I soaked it and scrunched it up into a ball and sat it in the window yesterday. Yes, it was warm enough to open a window or two :) but is rainy today :( so we will not get into that. Yesterday it windy in spurts, so at one point the screen blew out of the kitchen window and landed loudly in the sink. I went and fixed it and hours later remembered my ribbon. I looked all over. I checked out on the deck, in the grass (it was starting to rain then btw) but found nothing. I finally went and looked in the sink. It had fallen into a cup of water placed in there after the kids had finished crafting. Whew! but guess what ... it was WET AGAIN!  I had to wait on the silly thing to dry before I got to create my card.
If you read and understood all of that mess, bless you :D hahaha! on to da card...

Today I created a card using the Fresh Brewed Designs  Coffee Take Me Away rubber stamp. I used papers gifted to me from my DT member Linda, ribbon I have had FOREVER gifted to me from my friend Cheryl G., plastic from the face of a kids toy from Christmas, nestabilities lable 4, cuttlebug embossing folder 5x7 size, clear buttons from stash and prismacolor markers.

I appreciate your stopping by today. I hope you will come back tomorrow and be a part of our Valentines hop and digi release!

Hugs and Smiles
Heather

This card was also created following these challenges:

Paper Take Weekly - Buttons Bows Bling & Blooms
Let`s Ink It Up -  Anything Goes
Stamptacular Sunday Texture
The Ribbon Girls -  Colours: Blue and Pink
Fab n Funky: Bingo: Neglected stamp, handmade embellie (scrunched ribbon) vintage (sortof?)

Je T'aime

Ahh .. Paris.

*2 in stock*
stop by the shop and get her before she is gone!
for a few months anyway ;)

I have only been out of 'my state' (aside from the bordering states to visit family) a few times in my lifetime. I can probably count them all on both hands, maybe one foot ;) hehehe! So the thought of going to Paris is one that I know would never happen :D but our Latte Loving Lady sure did enjoy her time there. I think she may have been a bit under dressed. Here's hoping that she has a lovely pashmina in her shopping bag.

I created this card to follow our Freshly Brewed color challenge this week. We are encouraging you to use pink, white and kraft on your creations. You can also use something NEW and enter it into both this color challenge AND our month long prize challenge of Use Something New (heheh- i am getting repetitive, yes, I have had my coffee *sluurp*).

I really had a lot of fun making this ruffle and flower. I had *cough my mom had* over Christmas break coffee stained some old white blue jeans for me to make some coffee cozy's for my friends :) I had almost a whole leg left over ;) hahaha! so... in pinning some of my creations to pintrest the other day, I realized that my cardmaking had gotten a little... slack. I wanted to step it up a bit and make something I, myself, would love. and I did. I hand sewed the strip of jeans, stretched it all to pieces trying to manipulate it then *DER* I ironed it flat :D I used 6 non-perfect hand cut circles to create the ruffled flower. I truly had a LOT of fun making this card. AND I wanted to let you know that you can use cheaper markers to create the hilight look to hair. I have only attempted this .. I think this is my second time... I honestly forgot I could do it. I played around with my markers and really like the ones I chose to go together. The think wtih prismacolor is that they do not have as many in the same color family as copics, but I made it work... pretty good I think ;).

Other materials include : Papertrey inc Cardstock, UpCycled Making Memories Note Card, prismacolor markers (for hair: wheat, deco yellow, jasmine and goldenrod) skin (pale peach, brick beige and ballet pink) pants ( mocha light and mocha dark) boots (mocha dark) bag ( cherry and tuscan red) shirt (ballet pink, blush pink, pink)

Challenges that inspired me to create this card include

Eat Sleep Stamp : Sketch
Paper Lovin' Gals : Photo inspiration (Eiffel Tower)
OK, so who else is thinking
this challenge is perfect for me? hehehe!> Chocolate, Coffee  and Cards : Glitter
Fab 'n' Funky  - recycle
Simon Says Stamp - spots/stripes
Stampin' Royalty -  fabric
Inspire Me Friday - Anything Goes

I'll Have a Purple Christmas?

hehehe!
OK, so many of you know that I LOVE the color purple.
It has been my favorite color for... well... forever.
I love it in every shade. I love ALL colors, but something about purple stands out to me.
At the same time, I do not create with it often or have many purple items. I just like to look at it :D
Weird? I don't know. I guess I might be somewhat intimidated to create with it, but I got over it and decided to up my game a little and create a Christmas card for me :D

My Christmas Tree digital stamp

I had so much fun making this card. I love the glittery purple dress and the beautiful papers that were all RAKed to me years ago. I used the sketch at I {heart} Sketches for this card.

I made a few cards this month using this sketch, but wanted to make one I really liked to enter her challenge with. I can say that I am happy with this one... and just in time too!!!

I even drew this Christmas tree digi just for this card :D
It will be in the shop tomorrow morning; tomorrow also starts our new Freshly Brewed Challenge! woohoo!
I have a little bit of fun news to share with you tomorrow... so stop back in and see what it is :D
I am a little excited.. it is not a BIG deal, but is fun just the same :D

SEE YOU THEN!
BIG HUGS!!!

Mondays post: Monsterrific Monday
Tuesdays post Two Hot Tuesday

For my Hot and Sassy creation, I chose to use the Sunbathing Granny digital stamp.
*hehehehe*
She is one hot mama isn't she?!?!

My granny recently went through some things with her health and diabietes that lead her to only be able to eat certain things and drink decaf coffee, which she hated for a bit :(
Well, she has gotten into the swing of it, and I wanted to send her a card that would make her laugh... so this is the sentiment I chose for the inside :D
 hehehe
Hope it makes her smile :D

this card was simply created using papertrey inc cardstock, raked flowers, SU ribbon, SC buttons, raked brad, fiscars edger scissors, prismacolor markers, spica copic red glitter pen, inkadinkado sentiment stamp, sunbathing granny fbd digital stamp, and K&Co Berry sweet designer paper.

See you tomorrow with a new Freshly Brewed Challenge.

Kiss Me!

because I'm Crazy for you....
Making this card totally got the Madonna Crazy For You song stuck in my head! Not sure how seeing as I was never really a fan. We were only allowed to listen to christian music. We did listen to other things mind you... but usually mild country (unless I was in a 'mood', lol!!!) ANYWAY!!!  I hope that you are ok with this card. I made another one that was a little more risque for my hubbys and my anniversary this past May. I had it on my desk, forgot about it... and my DD came in, picked it up and said "WHAT IS THIS?" ... so it then became a Frisbee .. one I lost until recently and have put safely away :) HAHAH!!! That card MIGHT be made next year, but this is the one you get for now...

this card was inspired (and in my opinion perfect for) the cupcake inspirations challenge this week!!! Don't you agree?!?! I saw these cupcake cuties and immediatly ran for this We R Memory Keepers Girls night Out Ooh la la paper.

I masked off the latte mug and added the making memories Je T'adore key brad in her hand. I also drew the little panties to match the paper, stamped and cut out her dress {nightie} on blue vellum and added the little touch of bling. She is placed over some My Minds Eye dot paper cut out with the scalloped lace circle nestabilities die cut. The sentiment is by stampabilities (with the changito sets), the trim is from Paper Maniac, and the hearts inside the trim are filled with diamond stickles. I had ALOT of fun making this sassy card. I hope you like it too. :)

I'm CRAZY about you!

Good Afternoon!
My computer, phone and cable went out yesterday... and I realized while I can live without my cable and phone, I am lost without my internet! lol!!!
Thank goodness the tech was here and I had my internet back around 11 this morning! YAY!!!
I also was able to get the FBD card kits in the mail today! WAHOO!!! Soon we will be seeing lots of beautiful creations showcasing one of the to be released FBD rubber stamps! We still have 2 kits left! If you are interested, check out this post here

This card I am sharing with you today was created using the Papercraft Star challenge. They are challenging us to use this recipe:
Base 5 x 7 Mat: 3 x 4.5 Add Rhinestones Add Flourish Add Whatever Else You Desire
I used my FBD rubber stamp: Cautions Contents are Hot. I know you see that the latte cup has been replaced with a vase of roses. Yup. I masked it off and hand drew the vase. I think it works better for the theme of the card, dont' you? I love being able to mask off things and create a whole new 'stamp'. So fun!:) I made this for my hubby. I had started a card for him for Valentine's day, the 13th anniversary the day he proposed to me, now our 13th anniversary is coming up. I think I will give this to him now, then make another for our anniversary :D.

This card includes these items
black tulle
Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp

Caution Contents are Hot (latte cup masked off and hand drawn vase added
)
Girls Night Out designer paper by We R Memory Keepers
dot papers: yellow: Papertray inc blue: MME
rhinestones
cricut cartridge Accent Essentials
Sentiment Stamp by Inkadinkado

Other challenges for this card include
Creative Belli - seamstress (sewing elements)
