ICS 44

So sorry I am late again this week. What is up with me? I have been battling a sick dog for the past week. We have taken her to a few vets and called a few more, but they can not seem to pinpoint the problem. :(. So I just wait. Thank you to Stacy and Callie and some other wonderful friends who have offered help and advice. I have been trying all of it!
On to my card. I made this card using Dawn's very fun and cute sketch #44. I love it!!! I really do plan to use this one again this week for another card I hope to have time to make.

Do you love this image as much as I do?? I think it is the CUTEST reindeer ever!!! i smiled from ear to ear when I first saw him. Want to know where I got him ... I will tell you!!! :D However, you will have to wait for him. He is a new Busy Beauties Boutique image, created by my very talented friend Mrs. Carolyn bounds, that will be available soon. We are having a hop, fun, and lots of cards to share with you that day!

I colored him with my prismacolor markers, stickles and added rhinestones. The colors I chose were red, brown and kraft for the challenge at The Little Paper Shop.

Hope you all are having a great week and have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Coffee Break Time!!!

Yes! I actually made my 3 o'clock coffee break time today! WOOOOOOooooOOO! It has been a ritual for me to be done with homeschooling, cleaning and all that wonderfully fun stuff by 3 and I always had my coffee brewed and took a break. This schoolyear .. well... lets just say I think this is the first day this has happened. sigh. I am so happy though because that means I actually DID it and it will be possible to do it again! :o)

I made a card to share with you using another one of my newest Snowman images I released over the weekend. I think he is sweet. I love seeing all of the wreaths adorning everyones entry ways and I thought it would be just as cute with a snowman :o). I used the sketch provided at The Pink Elephant for this card. I am also submitting it to the Cupcake Craft Challenge: digital images as well as the Little Paper Shop challenge: die cuts. I used my cricut for every cut of this card (minus cutting out the image itself).

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I am off to enjoy my freshly brewed coffee, listen to my kids hum while they draw, get dinner ready, and go to ballet. I am very blessed. :o).

Disaster strikes!

When we got home from church last night, the kids were wired and I needed some coffee. I went to get my stuff together only to find out I was out of coffee filters! OH NO!!!! My husband offered to drive to the store to get me some, but i did not let him because they are so much cheaper at Sams. So, guess where my husband is this morning at 11AM? SAMS!!! Yay! I can't wait for him to get home so I can brew me a pot!!! :)
I made these cards for 2 of my favorite blog challenges. I love the inspiration there as well as the wonderful ladies that make up the amazing teams. These women are so inspirational, not only in their cardmaking, but in the way they live their lifes, as mothers and as christians. I am very blesssed to know a few of them and hope to continue to build our friendship.

the first card is for The Pink Elephant. I had so much fun with their recipe: tag, punch, and dots. I do have a tag on my card.. the sentiment I cut out and pasted to it was a little too big.. I hope you can still see it. It was a very fun card to create and I enjoyed this challenge very much.
Paper: MME: Aspragus Stack
Stamp: digi image, Fresh Brewed Designs, Love Mug 3
color: prismacolor markers

Happy Fall Y'all

LOVE IT! that is the title of the challenge over at the Little Paper Shop. This weeks challenge was a color challenge. I kept my card fairly simple. I really like it though. I hope you do too. The image is called So Thankful and can be found in my shop Fresh Brewed Designs. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

I colored my digital image with my prismacolor pencils and OMS. I was good and used scrap paper, again, from my huge box. I have given away paper and given away paper.... but that box just will not get smaller!!! :/ lol!

I am REALLY off this time. 3 posts in one day! WOWZA! I have not done that in a LONG time!!!

HUGS!!!!

lil' Sucker!

For this card I chose to use my very own daughters digi image she drew for me to sell in my shop (only if she gets the proceeds, lol). Really, he is just TOOO cute and I loved him when she was sitting her doodling him. I swooped him up before she drew squiggles all over him and turned him into a digi stamp. He is for sale in my Fresh Brewed Designs Shop and is called Batty by Hannah. Many of my digi stamps are still 20% off, so pop in if you get the chance and check them out. I would love to hear your thoughts. Back to Baty :)~ I was so happy as I colored him and brought him to life. Hannah loved it (whew, lol). She is my critic :). I chose to use these challenges to create this card: Cute Card Thursday: hidden treasures: to have something hidden on your card. This includes a secret compartment, something that flips out .. anything hidden. The second is the Little Paper Shops challenge to create a Halloween themed card. I could not stop thinking "I vant to suck your vlood' the while I made this so I HAD to roll with that. I chose to hide a sucker behind the image. To do that I took the long strip of paper (with the Fiscars border punched edge), punched a hole where I wanted to insert the stick, and glued the edges with glue dots. Then I added thick foam dots to the image back. Is this making since. The pictures will do a better job at explaining than I would :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend.

Here's the HOOT!!!

LOL ... I hope you get a good laugh at this card and sentiment. I thought she looked like she was ready to dish out some info so i changed the "here's the scoop" to say "here's the HOOT" :). I am still feeling pretty bad .. on top of everything else I now have a sore throat. I HOPE I am not catching my hubbys cold. here is what I plan to do to avoid it all: Vitamin C and rest ... as much as 2 crazy kiddies will allow anyway .. and completely ignoring the symptoms so it does not become a reality. :) This card was made using the sketch provided at The Little Paper Shop. The image is part of my sneek peak (starting today ~ just decided :) lol) . Hope you like it, can't wait to hear your opinions.

Summer Vacation

OK, so everyone is getting back to school and Summer Vacations are all coming to an end. Such a sad sad day :(. However, i will be happy when our city calms down a little and we can hit WalMart on a Sunday without having to stand in line for an hour :) sigh. Now to wait for the constant "why aren't you in school, are you sick?" every time we go out. lol. These cards were made on Friday? but I have not had time to post them. We had a super busy weekend I have just been too tired at night to post. I was excited to have time this morning only to realize 2 of the challenges i created this for ended today, HA! oh well. I am using these cards for the Papertake Weekly 100th post challenge: May 200- Animal antics. I used last weeks sketch provided on The Little Paper Shop for the first card as well as the color challenge on our creative corner. I used last weeks sketch for 2 red bananas for the second card. I am also submitting these cards to the Cute Card Thursday challenge : Lazy Dayz. Hope you like them both. Can't wait to see you tomorrow with our new ICS sketch!

ICS 29

Hi all! I am SOOOO sorry for the late post today. I had to take my daughter to Duke yesterday and was gone over 13 hours. Today we went out to get her prescriptions filled and things before it got too hot outside. It has been almost unbearable!

This weeks ICS sketch was created by one of our very own DT members, Tricia. Isn't it beautiful!! I loved the diagonal paper and the scallop. I was inspired to make mine a pocket card. Then the tricky part came in because I wanted to make a corner bookmark to go into the pocket. I had to refigure and measure and think many times:) lol. I finally got it though and really love the way it turned out. I am going to go back and add stitching to the outside of the pocket to give it a little added support, I just have not had the time to do it yet. The image, Katie Mushroom, is a digi image from The Little Paper Shop. I love her! The card stock is by basic occasion and i used my prismacolor markers to color her in. The flowers and all other materials are RAKed.

Be sure to check out the other cards the team has created. They are all amazing! and the prize this week is worth checking out too :). I wont tell you what it is, you will have to go ckeck it out HERE on the ICS blog :) Have fun! I can not wait to see what you create!

Sweet as Cupcakes

I made this card for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge as well as the Lili of the Valley Challenge.

To create this card I used Jena Baking by the little paper shop, KC and Co paper, Bazzil CS, prismacolor markers, paper piecing, paper piercing, twine hand stitching, dew drops, and prima RAK flowers for this card. Sorry this post is so rushed. :( Having a busy kind of day :).

Joy

I made this card for the Little Papershop color challenge as well as the PCPSketch challege. I decided to try something different and drew my matting for the card and images instead of adding layers of paper. The butterflies are by inkadinkado and are created using the spotlight technique. I colored them with my prismacolor markers, added glossy accents and Martha Stewart fine crystal glitter. The sentiment is by plaid. I really had fun making this simple card. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful Monday.
