Lucky .... Red?

Good Morning!
I have two cards to share with you today. The first is the one I created for the Oh Alice challenge: Painting the Roses Red ... and blue and purple. I thought those colors were so rich and perfect for the Queen! I colored her up with my prismacolor markers and glitter pens. I used DS American Crafts Cardstock, a deep blue satin ribbon, rhinestones, foam and paper piercing to complete the card.

For my second card I used another of my new images ShamROCK Rocks. :)

The challenge is to use one color .. as many shades as you want ... but only one color. Go check it out.. you only have a few days left!!!

All SMILES

Hi everyone!!! I am so glad it is almost Friday!!! This week has been odd, not sure how to take it, lol! I hope we will have a restful and fun weekend ... hopefully my DH will not have to work. :/

The first card is created using the sketch provided at Eat Sleep Stamp today. The kids were 'happily' doing their schoolwork when I slipped away to write down my Thursday challenges hoping to have time to create. When I logged on to this particular blog, I was so shocked to see My name and My card as her featured for last weeks sketch! That hot flushed blushing feeling came over me (so funny!) and I just smiled. My day was officially made! I chose to use my Queen for a Day image for this weeks card. She is a digi image and can be found in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs. I also created this card using the challenge provided at a new challenge blog called I Love Digis. My wonderful friends Dee and Callie are members there and I am so happy for them! The other challenges I am entering this card to are Crafty Creations: Stitching, Digital Tuesday: Girly, Papertake Weekly: Gingham or checks (ribbon and paper) and The Pink Elephant: Ribbon.

The next little card is featuring another of my little digi images, Rainy Day Butterfly. The challenges for this card include:
Spoon Full of Suger: Springtime
Digital Tuesday: Girly
Belli Challenge: Butterflies or Dragonflies
Crafty Creations: Stitching
Get Sketchy sketch
Our Creative Corner: Something old but new from stash (3 year old paper never cut... :/)

It's a BEAUTIFUL Mornin'

Welcome to the Busy Beauties Boutique Blog Hop!!!
If you came here from KELLY's blog and have already commented on her BEAUTIFUL work, then you are in the right place. IF not, go back a few steps and start with BARBARA. For those of you who are in the right place, then read on!!! :)

I am so excited to share some of these GORGEOUS images with you today. When I got the email with the January releases, I could not pick my jaw up off the floor. They are a mix of cute, fun and fab!!! Thomas and Carolyn really went all out this time!!! Notice I said "and Carolyn"?? Carolyn has been hiding behind her talent and has finally shared some of her very own art with us!!!

For this hop ~We will run the hop through the weekend, and winners will be selected on Sunday night, January 10th. ~There will be one grand prize winner of three digis of his/her choice and a winner from each blog to win an image of his/her choice. An added prize will be awarded to one person who leaves a comment on each blog...that person will be able to either choose five images from the store or join us in our February New Release Blog Hop; in which case, he/she will receive all the images for that particular release.

Now on to my cards. I created the first one using the 2S4Y sketch. I loved the sketch when I saw it and had several ideas for it. After I got my Runway Beauty all colored, I knew she would be perfect for it!!! I chose a brown and red scheme and added a funky ribbon that I hand stitched and added the felt and acrylic heart embellies. I really think this card is a mix of fun, sexy and pretty all in one. I am actually proud of this card. I am not good at working with ribbons, but I love how this turned out!

Runway Beauty

Challenges: 2S4Y, Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Crazy 4 Challenges: dots, Spoon Full of Sugar: hearts,
Belli Challenge: Glitter or Bling, Creative Card Crew: distressing

The next card is created featuring Cuppa Love. I think this image is just flat out adorable. I love all the marshmallows!!! Totally the cup of cocoa I would have. Don't skimp the marshmallows please!!! :) The sweet peppermint stick and fun design on the mug itself is just an added bonus. I really enjoyed creating with this image.

Challenges: Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts, Belli Challenge: Glitter or Bling

Now on to the last card I will be sharing with you today. This card was created using the image Hot Stuff! Don't you just LOVE it?!?! Lol!!! I kept this one clean and simple. I plan to give this one to my hubby for all the work he has put into doing the Wii fit and trying to be healthier. He started off with a Wii age of 54, then 44, and now he is 34. This is all within 2 weeks. I told him the other day he will be in his 20's in no time! ;) LOL! I have actually enjoyed it myself. The yoga and aerobics are fun, but I am NOT good at the balance games. I will take on anyone with the hula hoop!! I have got that one down baby! lol!!!

Challenges: Our Creative Corner: Clean and Simple,
Digital Tuesday: Valentines, Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts

Lastly I want to share with you a card my daughter created all by herself using A Fose from Rosey. I think it turned out so sweet! was a busy bee that day, I think she created 8 or so cards, lol! I am so proud of her and love to see her using her artistic talentes. Now to get her to stpo doodling all over her schoolwork ;)!!!

A Rose from Rosey

Now that I have bored you to pieces, I want you to leave me and head on to the every so SWEET and TALENTED and WONDERFUL STACY. She is sure to knock your socks off with her fabulous creations. ((and I just love her! :) ))

Have fun with the hop! I will see you back on Monday, January 11 with my winner!

It was an honor and pleasure to work with such a talented group of ladies and to create with Carolyn and Thomas' images. Thanks for letting me be a part of this with you.

My Monster

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. We do not really celebrate Halloween here. We took the kids to some church functions or out getting treats at local shops in the past, but with their allergies (milk, eggs and nuts) we really can not risk it. Hannah is part of a little dance called Hallowscream with her school. They have been practicing purple people eater and she has had a blast! We made these fun treats for her jazz class today since it will be the last time they will be practicing it all together before the show. Han had a blast coloring them and making the little sour cream containers. They turned out pretty cute I think :). She did MOST of the work herself. You know I had to draw a little monster to go with her treats she wanted to hand out. I call him My Monster. I love him :) lol. He just makes me smile. And he totally does not have to be Halloween I think. I can see him altered holding a balloon for a birthday ... I will be thinking of more things I can do with him for sure. This card is for Hannah's teacher Kate. I am so cheesy and a total goob when I give out my cards. Oh well. I am embarrassed easily. Her little classmates seemed to like their treats. Hannah was very proud of them.

I am submitting this card to the OCC challenge which is your favorite Holiday book or movie. This one is already obviously for the Purple People Eater :) lol! I hope it counts. There was a movie, lol... not really a favorite ;) but there was one, lol!!! hahaha!!!

Also, this card is for the Stamp Something Friday and Creative Inspirations Halloween challenges.

Have a wonderful night. My husband is working late so I am off for a shower and some coffee and maybe turn in early. I think I could use a little extra sleep. No card making tonight :)

Hugs!!!
He is newly released and up for sale over at Fresh Brewed Designs if you want to check it out. :)

I vant to suck your vlood!

LOL. My mom gave me this empty Altoids gum tin and I thought it would make a cute coffin for my candy corn vampire. i used only part of my Corny Family image at Fresh Brewed Designs for this card. I also used Eeek!! my candy corn bat. I covered the tin with black plasticy (I know that is not a word :D) raffia, tulip paint and glitter. The inside is also covered with the raffia. i cut out these little bats that are smaller than a dime and attached them to some wire i pulled out of some ribbon in my stash. I really do not like wired ribbon and often do this ... now I have a use for the wire ;). I could not get a good pic of this project so you are going to see it a few different ways. I hope it makes you smile. i am submitting it to the OCC challenge (my second submission). The movie / book this time is Dracula. I am also entering this into the Cute Card Thursday candy corn challenge and the Stamp Something Friday Halloween challenge.

Thanks for visiting me again. I appreciate you all very much!

Be still and know that I am God.

This card was made for a friend of mine that goes to our church. He is a wonderful and kind man that is a new Christian and loves the Lord. I am very lucky to know him. He has not been feeling well the past few weeks, so I decided to make him a card. If any of you know me .. you know that masculine cards are not my specialty! They are SOOO hard for me. This one sortof fell together thanks to the OCC monochromatic challenge this week!!! I have been wanting to use my Be Still set by Sweet and Sassy ... I finally had a good reason to break it out. I am very happy with the way this card turned out and I think he will like it as well. I showed restraint and did not add a ribbon or buttons as much as I wanted to ;). Ha!

I know some of you are curious about the Caardvarks challenges I have been participating in since they are having a DT call ... to be considered you had to participate in all the challenges... and I did... and that stirred a few peoples curiosity whether or not I was trying out. The answer is, even though I really wanted to send my email to them, I did not. I really know that I do not have the style they are looking for. I just REALLY REALLY enjoyed doing the challenges, looking forward to the next and getting my stuff together. I had an absolute blast creating for them this week. Thanks for the fun Caardvarks. I loved every minute of it!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!
I am off to try to get my sore throat to go away. I dont want it here... :/ Blechbleugh! My son just woke up saying he had a sore throat as well. Hannah did a few days ago ... this has got to go away soon :(. UGH!

Summer Vacation

OK, so everyone is getting back to school and Summer Vacations are all coming to an end. Such a sad sad day :(. However, i will be happy when our city calms down a little and we can hit WalMart on a Sunday without having to stand in line for an hour :) sigh. Now to wait for the constant "why aren't you in school, are you sick?" every time we go out. lol. These cards were made on Friday? but I have not had time to post them. We had a super busy weekend I have just been too tired at night to post. I was excited to have time this morning only to realize 2 of the challenges i created this for ended today, HA! oh well. I am using these cards for the Papertake Weekly 100th post challenge: May 200- Animal antics. I used last weeks sketch provided on The Little Paper Shop for the first card as well as the color challenge on our creative corner. I used last weeks sketch for 2 red bananas for the second card. I am also submitting these cards to the Cute Card Thursday challenge : Lazy Dayz. Hope you like them both. Can't wait to see you tomorrow with our new ICS sketch!

HUGS!!!!!!!!

I love this little image (which is free by the way!!!) by MyGrafico. I used her once weeks ago and was happy to get the chance to use her again. I am going to submit this card to the PCP MyGrafico challenge as well as the Our Creative Corner challenge: 3 embellishments. I colored this little girl with my prismacolor markers. The paper is from my Secret Sister over on Cafe Mom. The flower and ribbon are also RAKed, from my friend Cassandra I think.

Have yourself a PRETTY little Christmas

Yes, thanks go Cassandra and several blog challenges, my craft room threw up in Christmas!!! Oh the mess I have! lol! at least I have kept up with the rest of the house and have not slacked there... just that NO ONE is allowed in my craft room under any conditions! lol!!! This card was made for the Hanna Stamps challenge on SCS that was "Christmas in July". I love this Hanna so much! I think she is so pretty and the other stamps that go along with it just make the set extra great. :) Anywho ~ I found this scrap paper in my Christmas box o goodies and knew they would be great with her. I used a mini ornament as the charm. I colored her with my bics, copics and then added stickles and glossy accents to her. The ornaments on the tree were created using liquid pearls.

I am also using this card for the Christmas challenge on Stamp something Friday as well as the red white and blue challenge on OCC (hope it is not too much of a stretch for that one :/ )

I will be back later with MORE Christmas cards... yes, more! :/ lol!!!

Everyone loves Ketto!

SOOO many blogger buddies have made Ketto cards the past few days. I have long wanted to try one out... have a few on my wish list ... and thanks to a sweet Cafe Mom friend, Cheryl, I got my chance today! :) i am not sure of her name, but isn't she adorable?!? I colored her in, added stickles and some glossy accents. I then got out my , so I thought, fine glitter. Instead it was white, not clear. :( I was surprised with how cute it looked when it dried and decided to keep it that way. I chose to use the sketch on the OCC blog for this week. I just got my kiddos to bed, it was a long night. I think Han is catching a cold. My son got it first, then hubby, now Han. I hope it skips me so I can take care of everyone without feeling bad. We all know we have to do our mommy jobs no matter what is going on. :) it would just be easier if the sickies skipped the mommies :). OK, coffee and bed for me. Good night my sweets.
Oh, and I finally updated my photo of 'me' (under the coffee cups). I got told I was old/out of style today, kindof, so this was like therapy for myself to convince myself otherwise :) lol...

Just the mention of His name ...

I made these cards for the OCC challenge this week which was sentiments. I am keeping this post short tonight, I am tired :) and want to sit with my husband a little before i go to bed (even if that means sitting with him watching him play mario cart wii until I fall asleep on the couch from boredom.... :) ) I do hope you like these cards. I had fun making them and thinking about the Lord and how good he is to us, thanking God for all he has done and continues to do, and just spending time loving him. Have a great night.

Hey Ladies!

This post will be short and sweet. I got this awesome card kit in the mail from my friend Callie. I just loved the papers and images and goodies she sent. I really had fun with this girl! Thanks so much! These colors work well for OCC's color challenge this week. I do not know who makes these yummy papers, but I do believe these 'girls' are by TAC.
