Sweet Dreams (typing that made me yawn...)

Grumble Grumble _ GOOOOD MORNING :D
No, I have not had my coffee yet and yes last night was a late one... so I am pretty not so bright eyed and bushy tailed... but after my coffee magically brews (I take my happy little hiney in there and make it) I will be good to go :D I hope. Today is a long day at dance (5 hours) but it is the last of Dance Summer Intensive and Han has loved every minute of it, so we will be enjoying today as much as possible. It is only a few weeks until dance starts, but I suspect it will be a long few weeks for that little girl :/

Do you know what time it is? Time for another Freshly Brewed Challenge! That's what time it is!
This week we have a sketch for you to follow.
You can check out all the deets and the lovely DT card samples at the
Freshly Brewed Challenge blog

Here is the card I created for the challenge using

Orange Lollipops!!!

Good Afternoon.
I am so excited because Loris Lollipops are now DIGITAL!!! I think I literally did a happy dance and went to see Claudia at DieCutsRUs right away! Lori is not only the sweetest ever, but she is SO super talented and creates so many darling things. Now WE get to create with her fantastic designs. So cool! :D

Can you tell I am just over the moon about these little sweeties? The challenge over at The Pink Elephant is orange, so I really went all out. I can SMELL oranges looking at this card :) lol. I created this card with Orange CS Papertrey ink, cuttlebugged in the swiss dots folder, Itty Bitty Dot paper Papertrey Ink and prismacolor markers. The ribbon is from Clear Dollar Stamps. I also added some little extras with a white gel pen and orange peel stickles.

Ella Lollipop The sketch is from 2 Sketches 4 You
Hope you are having a lovely week. Remember, tomorrow is the new Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge as well as the 3rd Freshly Brewed Challenge. Can't wait to see you then!
HUGS!!!

Just Dance

Good Afternoon everyone. I hope you are having a nice weekend. Today is my daughters first dance recital of the year and she is so excited. My little ballerina. She is always stretching, twirling and dancing around the house. Sometimes so much I have to ask her to stop before she hurts someone or herself ;) lol. The dance today is not ballet, more of a hip hop style (if anyone knows me ~ you will know how awkward that was for me to get used to .. the moves, music and all. But she is SO CUTE doing the dance.

In honor of her day, I created this fun little ballerina card. The card is based on the current Pink Elephant challenge. I recieved this adorable stamp in the mail from my sweet friend Mary for my bday (or a just because, but it was near my bday). Isn't she precious!?! And so perfect for me because everything about Hannah is artistic, dance and girly gracefulness (with just the right amount of silly and goofy ... sometimes a LOT.... LOL!!!)
The ever so pretty and fun flowersoft came from my Beautiful friend Carolyn. I had so much fun adding this to the card. She is dancing on beautiful little flowers... because
that is what she is, a beautiful little flower.

If I get to talking I cant hush, and I have lots to do, so I will leave you with this little wave goodbye and talk to you soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Alice!!!

I have to tell you I was so intrigued by the new Oh Alice blog that I could hardly wait until Saturday to hear all about it. The first challenge is SO FUN! you will have to go check it out JUST to see the Urban Decay makeup set!!! Well, not only that, but the DT cards are just TOTALY too cute for words!!! So much glam and gorgeousness.
When I heard about the blog starting, my mojo started and I had to sketch out some images. I THOUGHT the blog was only for a certain brand of images, so I put them aside. When I found out it was just Alice themed, I got them back out AND created more. I do hope you like the new set of images. There are more to come! This along with 3 others will be added to my shop,
Fresh Brewed Designs, this afternoon.
I used the sketch provided this week at The Pink Elephant for this card.

I took pics of the card from start to finish to show all the glam that went into creating my funky little card. Hope you enjoy and are inspired to play along over at Oh Alice!

I started off by printing two images, cutting one out, masking the
other image and adding chalk to the bg
I then took some gold pearl ex powedr in a spray bottle of alcohol
spritzed the image with the mask still on
and added more violet with a
the sponge dobber
I used 2 shades of green and a gel pen to create her eye make up
I completed coloring the image with pricmacolor markers,
prismacolor pencils and OMS,
gel pens
Glossy accents swirled with pearl ex powder and painted on
stickles

I chose the colors of the tree to match the red and black theme of the deck of cards
(Queen of hearts)

Here is the image that will be added to the shop

All SMILES

Hi everyone!!! I am so glad it is almost Friday!!! This week has been odd, not sure how to take it, lol! I hope we will have a restful and fun weekend ... hopefully my DH will not have to work. :/

The first card is created using the sketch provided at Eat Sleep Stamp today. The kids were 'happily' doing their schoolwork when I slipped away to write down my Thursday challenges hoping to have time to create. When I logged on to this particular blog, I was so shocked to see My name and My card as her featured for last weeks sketch! That hot flushed blushing feeling came over me (so funny!) and I just smiled. My day was officially made! I chose to use my Queen for a Day image for this weeks card. She is a digi image and can be found in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs. I also created this card using the challenge provided at a new challenge blog called I Love Digis. My wonderful friends Dee and Callie are members there and I am so happy for them! The other challenges I am entering this card to are Crafty Creations: Stitching, Digital Tuesday: Girly, Papertake Weekly: Gingham or checks (ribbon and paper) and The Pink Elephant: Ribbon.

The next little card is featuring another of my little digi images, Rainy Day Butterfly. The challenges for this card include:
Spoon Full of Suger: Springtime
Digital Tuesday: Girly
Belli Challenge: Butterflies or Dragonflies
Crafty Creations: Stitching

Let's Talk!

Good morning everyone! I do hope you all survived your Monday. Mine was like a rollercoaster, lol. Well, it is groundhogs day today ... cloudy and rainy. No shadow for our 'hog' to see ... hmmm.. what does that mean :)??? Ugh! Tommy has to have the mole cut off of his back today ((a mole.. on groundhogs day...)) and I have to talk Hannah to dance, so he will be braving that alone. I cant stand to be cut on in any way... so please say a prayer for him. Also pray that the results come back saying it was nothing.

DON'T FORGET!!! I have a sketch challenge going on. IF you participate, you automatically get a FREE FBD BUG IMAGE of your choice. All the rules and details are HERE. More bugs for you to see are HERE. Hope to see you play along :o)

OK, on to my cards and the reason for the post. Challenges: Inspirational Card Sketches

ICS, TGF and FBD

Good Morning everyone. This post is going to be super short and sweet ... straight to the deets!!! I was up all night with a sick little boy .. fever, puking and all that lovely stuff. Sounds like we are headed to the Dr. soon. It looks like it may be strep :(.

These cards are both created using this weeks ICS sketch. ICS is also having a DT CALL so be sure to stop in for all the details on that!!! The first card follows the sketch more directly. I used the Greeting Farm image for the second day of the CHA Challenge. I have enjoyed using these cuties!!! The BG paper is by American Craft, the sent was printed with word and all the other goodies are RAKed or scraps. This card also meets the rules for the Pink Elephant Challenge: bow, pink, and dots.

Fresh Brewed Designs
is the sponsor again this week at Inspirational Card Sketches. I decided to use my to be released in February, Hannah Belle Fishing. I promised you that it would be an image that told you something about my little Hannah. She is such an animal lover and hates all things hunting, fishing and all that. She is a 'part time' vegetarian ... :o) . When she was younger and went fishing with my Granny ~ she went to the bucket and threw them all back. Just like me when I was little. I even felt sorry for the poor worms .... see how I drew them happily draped on the hooks ... not stabbed;). lol This card is also going to be entered into the Stamp Something Friday Challenge: Giggle or funny

Both cards are colored with prismacolor markers, copics, and bic markers. The Hannah card was all decked out with shimmer. Her suit has stickles on it and the water was painted with a mix of pearl ex powder and Plaid Gems paint on glitter.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the Tellen's Place Blog Hop!!

Too Sweet Tuesday

It's time again for one of Dawn's gorgeous ICSketches!!! I loved creating with this one. I have been having computer issues:( and have not had my printer hooked up to print anything. ANYTHING!!! So, what do you do when you can't print? You stamp!!!! I was actually excited to get out my ink again and stamp this darling Spunkette (that can be found/purchased at Susanna's Custom Art and Card Design) I got from my generous and loving friend Jenn. I LOVE this little girl and had SO much fun creating with her. I used DCWV glitter stack along with scraps for this card. She is colored with prismacolor markers, copics, and decorated with stickles. Her skirt is stickled and sprinkled with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter.

I hope you get the chance to visit us and play along over at ICS this week.

Have a blessed day.

ICS, TPE, and BBB

WOW!!! I could not think of a title, so I abbreviated everything this post holds :). lol!

Welcome back to ICS. It was nice to have a little break. I spent a lot of time with the kids and did not make very many cards the past two weeks, so I guess now i am making up for lost time!!! I admit when Tuesday rolled around this past week I did sort of a panic thinking I had forgotten :/. Whew, was I ever relieved when I checked the DT blog out! Anyway, Dawn has started the New Year off with another amazing sketch. This one is so fun!!! I really enjoyed working with it and I know you will too. I {stamped} for this one ((don't fall out, I know I have been using tons of digis lately)). It was fun getting out my stamp pad, even for just a sentiment or 5? lol! (you will see as you go through the post where the 5 comes in).

I chose to use a Stampabilities stamp for this card. I know this past year how much God has been there for me and my family. I am not much of a 'New Year's' resolution committer. I feel that a new year is just that, a new year and nothing but a date change. It does not magically change the past or take away the other year. Every year near the end almost everyone is ready for it to be gone and to start new. I feel that this 'year' instead of waiting for the new, I will do all I can to praise God and love him and thank him every day, no matter what is going on, no matter what year it is. He deserves it all. I am inscribed on the palm of his hand. He died for me. I am so unworthy, but he loves me so much. I can not wait until the day when I can look upon his face and just hug him. I know right now I probably would not make him proud, I have a lot to change and lots of room to grow. So, no resolutions for me, just a stronger commitment to God and to love him wholeheartedly.

This card was supposed to be also for The Pink Elephant Recipe challenge ... but I FORGOT THE SNOWFLAKES!!! doh!!! Well, back to the drawing board :)

This card is for The Pink Elephant: 3 buttons, 2 DP and SNOWFLAKES!!!

Have a wonderful week everyone!!! I hope you get the chance to stop back in for the BUSY BEAUTIES BLOG HOP on the 7th of January. You will not be disappointed!!! Wait until you see the cuties she has in store :)!! EeEEEeeeeEEEee! so fun!!!

Coffee Break Time!!!

Yes! I actually made my 3 o'clock coffee break time today! WOOOOOOooooOOO! It has been a ritual for me to be done with homeschooling, cleaning and all that wonderfully fun stuff by 3 and I always had my coffee brewed and took a break. This schoolyear .. well... lets just say I think this is the first day this has happened. sigh. I am so happy though because that means I actually DID it and it will be possible to do it again! :o)

I made a card to share with you using another one of my newest Snowman images I released over the weekend. I think he is sweet. I love seeing all of the wreaths adorning everyones entry ways and I thought it would be just as cute with a snowman :o). I used the sketch provided at The Pink Elephant for this card. I am also submitting it to the Cupcake Craft Challenge: digital images as well as the Little Paper Shop challenge: die cuts. I used my cricut for every cut of this card (minus cutting out the image itself).

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I am off to enjoy my freshly brewed coffee, listen to my kids hum while they draw, get dinner ready, and go to ballet. I am very blessed. :o).

Turkey Time!

My moms friend asked me to make a Tom Turkey card for her similar to my first card I shared with you. I used Tom Turkey from Fresh Brewed Designs, prismacolor markers, RAKed paper, and a typed/printed sentiment.

I am entering this card to the Pink Elephant Challenge this week which is Thankfulness.

Disaster strikes!

When we got home from church last night, the kids were wired and I needed some coffee. I went to get my stuff together only to find out I was out of coffee filters! OH NO!!!! My husband offered to drive to the store to get me some, but i did not let him because they are so much cheaper at Sams. So, guess where my husband is this morning at 11AM? SAMS!!! Yay! I can't wait for him to get home so I can brew me a pot!!! :)
I made these cards for 2 of my favorite blog challenges. I love the inspiration there as well as the wonderful ladies that make up the amazing teams. These women are so inspirational, not only in their cardmaking, but in the way they live their lifes, as mothers and as christians. I am very blesssed to know a few of them and hope to continue to build our friendship.

the first card is for The Pink Elephant. I had so much fun with their recipe: tag, punch, and dots. I do have a tag on my card.. the sentiment I cut out and pasted to it was a little too big.. I hope you can still see it. It was a very fun card to create and I enjoyed this challenge very much.
Paper: MME: Aspragus Stack
Stamp: digi image, Fresh Brewed Designs, Love Mug 3
color: prismacolor markers
others: stickles, tulip espresso slick paint, staples, cropodile hole punch, RAKed flower

The second card is for the Little Paper shop who is having a release this Saturday on World Cardmaking Day. I love their adorable stamps. The new caroler is DARLING! you have to go check them out and see what goodies they have to offer as well as the new ones they are going to be releasing! Fun Fun Fun!!!

Paper: RAK
Stamp: digi, the paper shop, Jena Baking
color: prismacolor markers, copics
extras: ribbon, cricut, tag punch

Don't forget about our new challenge over at Doodle Street as well as our blog hop this weekend where you can win free images.
Next Wed we will have our new release images up for sale as well our new challenge. hope to see you there!!!

TPE gets sweet

This card is for this weeks challenge on the Pink Elephant. I love the challenges there and this sketch is just gorgeous!!! The DTs creations are just outstanding. I was trying to NOT use my images .. I feel like I am shoving them down everyone's throat, lol... but I just want to use them. I want to make sure they print well, color well and so on before I sell them as digis. I have a few stories about pumpkin suits, so this one just had to be made. It is somewhat sentimental to me. :) I hope you like it too. I plan to add him (pumpk-orn) to my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs, to sell tomorrow. I colored him with my prismacolor markers, used scrap papers, scrap ribbon and raffia. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

a card

I made this card for the Pink Elephant Challenge: red, yellow, black and white. I have another card in mind to create with this fun color scheme. I loved the reminder of that wonderful childrens song on the blog. Jesus loves the little children. I remember how my sister and brother and I sang that way back when :).

Have a wonderful and blessed night.

Oh Happy Day!

I FINALLY found time to participate in a few of my favorite challenges last night! WOOOO!!!! The first is for the pink elephant challenge: a sketch. They have an amazing sponsor this week too! The Little Paper Shop!! :) YAY!!! I think they have the cutest stuff and between these 2 blogs .. a few of the best designers ever. :o)

My second card was made using a digi from the Little Paper Shop. Isn't this owl just TOOO CUTE? I love the branch. This card is for the sketch challenge this week on Papertake Weekly. It is a WONDERFUL one. I loved the simple layout and how clean my card looks. I tend to busy them up ;).

Thanks for visiting me today.
