Lucky .... Red?

Good Morning!
I have two cards to share with you today. The first is the one I created for the Oh Alice challenge: Painting the Roses Red ... and blue and purple. I thought those colors were so rich and perfect for the Queen! I colored her up with my prismacolor markers and glitter pens. I used DS American Crafts Cardstock, a deep blue satin ribbon, rhinestones, foam and paper piercing to complete the card.

For my second card I used another of my new images ShamROCK Rocks. :)
He is rockin it out in his sparkly cool shades and his rocin guitar. I had a lot of fun creating this card. Fresh Brewed Designs is the sponsor this week for Crafty Creations. Hi everyone!!! I am so glad it is almost Friday!!! This week has been odd, not sure how to take it, lol! I hope we will have a restful and fun weekend ... hopefully my DH will not have to work. :/

The first card is created using the sketch provided at Eat Sleep Stamp today. The kids were 'happily' doing their schoolwork when I slipped away to write down my Thursday challenges hoping to have time to create. When I logged on to this particular blog, I was so shocked to see My name and My card as her featured for last weeks sketch! That hot flushed blushing feeling came over me (so funny!) and I just smiled. My day was officially made! I chose to use my Queen for a Day image for this weeks card. She is a digi image and can be found in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs. I also created this card using the challenge provided at a new challenge blog called I Love Digis. My wonderful friends Dee and Callie are members there and I am so happy for them! The other challenges I am entering this card to are Crafty Creations: Stitching, Digital Tuesday: Girly, Papertake Weekly: Gingham or checks (ribbon and paper) and The Pink Elephant: Ribbon.

i have a few cards to share with you tonight. I have been participating in the TGF CHA challenge, and have been having a blast. Sadly dut to unforseen circumstances the challenge is come to an early end. You can still snag the freebie of the cutie Prince Ian while it lasts!


For the Toby card I used heidi grace double sided paper, inkadinnkado chalk and a prismacolor marker in putty. I kept it simple, but still bright and fun. I am sending this card to my beautiful friend Stacy. She makes me smile and I wanted to send her a smile in return.

Truly Scrumptious: Sketch

My Prince Ian card was created using DS American Craft paper, my cricut, a printed sentiment, prismacolor markers, bic markers and copics. He was an absolute blast to color up. I really thought of prince charming with this one and wanted to make his hair black. I am not a pro by any stretch and need a lot of practice, but am still happy I tried.

Moving Slow...

It has been a Mondy kind of day, but the sun finally poked through the clouds and everyones moods have lifted. This morning my son woke with a low fever and headache. I let him rest in the living room while Hannah and I started school. When I went to check on him, he told me God said Hello to him 3 times. I said, 'Really? how?' he said with blinking light. I had no idea what he meant. A few minutes later he said "hello God", then to me "Mama, he did it again". I then rememberd a long time ago we were sitting at the table having school when the sun peeked brightly through the gloomy clouds. It was so bright and filled the entire room with light. I told the kids God had told us hello. I guess they remember things we seem to forget ourselves. That was a nice thing to think about everytime the room grew bright. Now the sun is out, no clouds and God is shining down on us. :)

Sexy, Sassy, Savvy Sneak Peek

This weeks challenge for Crafty Creations Black white and a splash of color. The little paper shop is also having a color challenge: Black, white and hot pink! When I saw it, I knew I would have to combine the two ... and I knew just what image to use!!!

My BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED friend Carolyn has a shop full of ADORABLE, GORGEOUS, and AMAZING digis at Busy Beauties Boutique and is the sponsor this week for Crafty Creations! This one, however, you will not find in the store .. not until the 7th anyway :). She is called Runway Beauty and I think she is GORGEOUS!!! Now, be kind and forgiving. this is the first time I have EVER tried to color black hair. i admit I need practice! Will you forgive me if I tell you I used 1 prismacolor marker and bics? :) The DP for this card was a gift from my friend Carol, the charm was a gift from my friend Stacy.

I want my Mummy!!!

I have something new for you today. The challenge at Cute CArd Thursday was Candy Corn! Perfect!!! I am also entering it to these fun challenges for the first time~ Crafty Creations: All Hallow's Eve, Stamp Something Friday and Creative Inspirations: Halloween. This image just popped into my head and had to be created. I have never drawn and created and shared an image with you quite this fast. I had to since Halloween is right around the corner:).You can find this image, the sweetest mummy, in my shop: Fresh Brewed Designs. I think these candy corn are so funny! My mom made pin and earring sets when I was in high school that look very similar to these little guys. I showed my mom my images and she reminded me. Oops!!! So I put a new spin on them by dressing them up. My mom approved and loves them:). I had some old tissue paper from last year that had candy corn on it. I decided to decoupage a piece of card stock, cover it in glitter and create this fun background. I also used some ribbon I found last year at walmart for a buck that was covered in sweet candy corn. I colored this sweetie with prismacolor markers. I hope this made you smile. HAve a wonderful weekend, or what is left of it. I am off to get some coffee ((Barnies Santa's White Christmas in fact. For those of you who knew ... I did not make it last night like I had planned. Last night went a little loopy on me, lol! So I am enjoying it tonight and hopefully finding a few minutes to relax.)
