I love you Fairy much!

Good morning!

I am off to get school started with my little ones, 

but wanted to pop in and share a card I created with you first. 

This card was created using all scrap papers (GO ME!) and a newly released FBD Digi called Fairy Sweet. 

She, along with several others, can be found in the NEW! Hot out of the Press 

section of the Fresh Brewed Designs Shop.

This image was colored with prismacolor markers, decorated with glossy accents and dew drops. 

I used the Sketch at Eat Sleep Stamp as my inspiration as well as the photo at  Fairy Tale Challenge Blog

I totally dropped the ball this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges. 

I missed my own challenge! how does that happen?!?!

I was thiking this weeks challenge was next weeks challenge, so I created the wrong style of card :( doh!

We could all use one of those, right?!?!

Well, it was fun for me because I cant sleep in when I am sick .. so waking up early this morning gave me the opportunity to create with the newly {just yesterday} released digi, Crafty Gal. Newly released you ask? Yes, we released 4 new cakes yesterday and 6 fun, sweet, and sassy gals

I chose to use the sketch at Eat Sleep Stamp for this card. I was sooo sad (but totally understand the need for a break, esp during this time of the year) that this is the last sketch of the year. WAHH!!! What will I do without my weekly ESS sketch?!?! I know I have not been able to participate in them all, but man do I try!

This sketch was really fun to work with. I honor of it being the last challenge of the year, I even added a calendar with every Thursday marked with ESS on it :D  Thank you for the inspiration and fun Tracy!

A lovely lady named Chriss at Scrappin' with Chriss and Lou suggested to me yesterday a girl crafting in her pjs and wearing bunny slippers. I LOVED the idea (And have to admit I have wanted to make one a long time ago, but the mojo just wasn't flowing for her) I say all good things come to those who wait, because I am really happy with the way she turned out. I always craft in my pjs (which usually include yoga pants and a tee :D or my sock monkey flannels) lol!)

Things have been so hectic around here as summer draws near. The shop and kids activities really take up more time than I realize, lol, but it is good time and fun. I have had to step back and realize that the clothes will wait another day. I have two days a week that I REALLY clean and the others I straighten up as I go. I used to really stress about housework. Many friends here it the blog world (and my mom who is also a neat freak) have told me it is not worth it. Yesterday was my cleaning day ~ so today is free to have FUN :) YAY!!! Blog hops, blog posts, new challenges and more! I am off soon to start baking cakes for my sons Tee Ball party. Today is the last game of the season and his last Tee Ball game ever. He moves up next year. Sortof bittersweet for me. I don't want my little man growing up so fast.

I know you are not hear to listen to my chattering, you are here to see some papercrafty goodies! Well, I hope that my projects are just that and you enjoy your visit here with me today. The challenge this week at my challenge blog: Freshly Brewed Challenges, is to create with Red White and Blue. I had fun with this combo, moreso than I thought I would and I really do love how they turned out. My 'old' that I used for these projects would be scrap papers on the Hi card. Those papers are well over a year old. Also, my cricut cartridges were dusted off for these projects. I was able to use the frames from the Paper Pups cart as well as the jar from the Stretch your Imagination Cart. WAHOO!!! :) I forgot how much fun the Cricut actually was!!!

Have a Fintastically Magical Day!

Good Morning! I am sitting here sipping my coffee looking out the window hoping for a not too hot but dry and nice day. Is that asking too much ;)?? My son has a make up tee ball game this morning so we will be moving and grooving early this Saturday.

Blogger was acting wonky yesterday, so I did not get to post my card :( SO today you get two :D!!! This first card was created using the FBD rubber stamp: Cutie Pie Mermaid. I pulled out my cricut and was amazed that it cut out these little embellies with no oopsies. We usually have oopsies! I guess the thicker cardstock works better for smaller items. They turned out so cute with her!!! I traced the detail cuts with a marker and then painted over the little darlings with Inspirations Paints: Light Purple. My favorite color is purple but I am always challenged when I try to use it on a card. Not sure why. That is another reason I chose the purple and green inspiration photo for Freshly Brewed Challenges this week. Both of these cards go for the challenge ~ but the cutie pie also works for the MONTH LONG PRIZE CHALLENGE: Beach / Summer theme! Whisper: The Fairy

I have a confession. I do not think I have used Whisper as long as she has been in my shop. I am now wondering how many others I have yet to create with!!! Her name was easy to choose. The others I had to think and look up names and meanings. She just WAS Whisper. She reminded me of the times when God sends a little calming breeze, a whisper, to remind us he is there and he loves us.

I used the creative inspirations paints to paint these flowers. I think it turned out SO pretty. I had the offwhite prima flowers and this painted over then just so amazingly perfect!!! I also painted strips of glittery goodness in her hair. Challenges for this card include:

Good Morning!!! I love the crisp morning air we have been having in the early mornings.

End of Summer

It is the end of summer and all of the lovely mermaids are watching as all the beaches start to become more and more empty. Quite and peaceful and tranquil once again. Do they miss the loud noises as the people jog, play, swim? I am sure they will a little ;) but now they will have the beach and ocean back to explore, love and bask in all to themselves for a season or two.

I created this card with my Fresh Brewed Designs image called Cordelia in Sand. It seems to me that Cordelia is sitting on an island dreaming of what she wants to do next. She is always ready for the next adventure to pass her way. She is very artistic and sees beauty in everything.

I created this card using the current Eat Sleep Stamp sketch (which is over today :( I have been such a procrastinator lately... or just have not had much crafting time rather). I used handmade bg paper. I took the kids watercolor and went a little happy with it. I used these gorgeous shades of blue, green and purple and flicked it all over the paper (and myself *grin*) Then I brushed a large wide strip of the same colors. The paint has just a slight bit of glittery sparkles in it, though it is hard to see in the picture. I am also entering this card into the Oh Alice Challenge this week which is a BEAUTIFUL Blinged out teal and pink necklace.

Teach with Heart

I know many of us are getting ready to send our kids off to school or already have. We will be starting our homeschool year next week. I do have to reorder a few books. The Language Arts set I got for Han for 3rd grade was more like what she did in 1at grade :( grrrr... but I have enough to get me through until the new ones come in.

I created this card with one of the sentiments over at CDAC. If you have not joined there, you are missing in on a lot of fun stuff. :) The sketch is yet again by Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp. I just moved the embellie this time to the opposite side. The papers are by My Minds Eye: Asparagus Stack. I cut the apple with the Spellbinders fruit set.

This card is for my sister. When I think of her I smile :D and think of the song by Uncle Cracker "You Make Me Smile". I don't listen to secular music at all... but there are some I have heard in passing and we thought parts of this song were cute / silly ... and it just stuck. So Becky, You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed, sing like a bird, dizzy in my head... (you're) Cooler than the flip side of my pillow ;) ... Girl you make me smile!!!

I created this card using the freebie sent I am giving to all my CDAC groupies. I also used the Eat Sleep Stamp Sketch once again. I have ANOTHER card using it for you later this week :D I think that sketch will be my go to for sentiment only cards. Really loved it!!!

OOoOOOh EEeEEe! Happiness!

I received this adorable and oh so sweet RAK of ADORABLE Lollipop images ((even more so beautiful because they were created by the ever so fantastic Lori Boyd)) and I was soooooo excited! I was doing a happy dance I tell ya! I have been wanting to purchase / try these out, but funds are sortof 'not' at the moment. The paper these are stamped on is so dreamy! The images were embossed and just perfect!!! So to my RAKing friend a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a wonderful little birthday package without her even knowing it was my birthday! lol! I LOVEd creating with this image. My Hannah is a cat lover and I know this one will be top on my list to have. I colored this with my prismacolor markers and a white gel pen. The papers are all scraps. The sketch is another GORGEOUS creation from the ever so lovely Tracy at Eat Sleep Stamp. I only have a handfull of challenges I WAIT for and hers is one of them. She has the most beautiful sketches ... is such a beautiful person... and WOW at the loads of inspiration on her blog!

Off to make more coffee and get my day rolling. I am a slow moving mama this morning. :( I hate when that happens. Lots to do... so I had better GET UP and get started huh ;)!

Oh yea, my garden is GROWING believe it or not. ((I am not the best gardener :( ))My mom came over yesterday and I was so embarrassed by how much grass had grown there. :( Han picked, washed and made us a salad last night. It was so yummy. Tommy Ray hated it, but the rest of us enjoyed it. Nothing like fresh organic veggies!!!

Hi everyone!!! I am so glad it is almost Friday!!! This week has been odd, not sure how to take it, lol! I hope we will have a restful and fun weekend ... hopefully my DH will not have to work. :/

The first card is created using the sketch provided at Eat Sleep Stamp today. The kids were 'happily' doing their schoolwork when I slipped away to write down my Thursday challenges hoping to have time to create. When I logged on to this particular blog, I was so shocked to see My name and My card as her featured for last weeks sketch! That hot flushed blushing feeling came over me (so funny!) and I just smiled. My day was officially made! I chose to use my Queen for a Day image for this weeks card. She is a digi image and can be found in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs. I also created this card using the challenge provided at a new challenge blog called I Love Digis. My wonderful friends Dee and Callie are members there and I am so happy for them!
